Environmental education and climate crisis from the point of view of grammar school students

Title: Environmental education and climate crisis from the viewpoint of high school students. Objectives: The main objective was to explore Czech high school students' perceptions of the climate crisis and environmental education. Other objective was to ask them about their relationship with nature. Methods: Based on the literature review, a non-standardized semi-structured anonymous questionnaire was developed. The questionnaire consisted of 9 questions referring to climate crisis and 10 questions referring to environmental education. It was first pilot-tested with 10 respondents and then adjusted. Subsequently, the questionnaire was electronically administered to Czech high schools in 6 regions. A total of 460 students and graduates aged 18-25 participated in the questionnaire survey. High schools were chosen purposefully based on the interest of their school management. Results: Based on questions referring to climate crisis we found out that 98 % out of 460 respondents have heard about the climate crisis, 57 % of respondents agree that human activity is causing the climate crisis, 61 % of respondents are interested in the impacts and causes of the climate crisis, and 60 % of respondents believe that humanity will slow it down or stop it. The bachelor's thesis first deals with brief information about the main stages of the progress of secondary education in Strakonice, the main part of the thesis is focused on the history of the Vyšší odborná škola, Střední průmyslová škola a Střední odborná škola řemesel a služeb Strakonice. A detailed description of these stages in addition to the presentation of previously unpublished information are the main objectives of this bachelor thesis. In order to fulfil the objectives, historical and heuristic methods were used, including comparative analysis as well as guided interviews with memorials and the current management of the school.

Analysis of the secondary education in the Vysočina Region in context of demographic development Abstract The aim of this thesis is to show the link between the demographic development and the development of the educational system, particularly on the example of the demographic development of the Vysočina Region and its impact on the secondary education in this region. The Vysočina Region was chosen because it is characterized by numerous specifics that distinguish it from other regions (e.g. a large number of small municipalities, rural and traditional characteristics of the region and lower education attainment of the population). Firstly, the current demographic development of the region is evaluated, secondly the development of the educational system is evaluated in its context. Afterwards, we examine the development of the number of secondary schools, the structure of their fields of education and their territorial distribution in the region. We also evaluate the current capacity of the secondary schools. The core of the analysis is the creation of derived forecast of the number of pupils in the various districts of the region through the use of rates of participation in secondary education in the districts. 1 ABSTRACT This final thesis is focused on the description of the specific conditions of the current development of regional education in Prague and the Central Bohemia Region. This is particularly true in relation to the use and creation of basic conceptual documents (long- term Plan for Education and the Educational System in the City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region) and other policy materials created for specific regional education in the City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region. The aim of this final thesis is to describe the specific fundamental conditions for the development of regional education in each region, the specific shared conditions of City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region. Aspects, which influence professional preparation of clients in children's home.

This bachelor thesis deals with professional preparation of clients in children's home and describes some chosen aspects, which can affect professional preparation during the stay of a client in children's home. The bachelor thesis is based on the available literature and legislative framework of institutional education. In the last chapter, the theory of professional preparation is illustrated with examples of three clients of the chosen children's home and there is an evaluation of described aspects of professional preparation in the chosen children's home.
Analysis of the secondary education of South Bohemia in relation to labor market demands

The thesis will focus on analysis of the current situation of secondary education in the South Bohemia in relation to the success of secondary school graduates in getting the job. The theoretical part of the thesis will describe basic facts about the secondary education. Analytical part of the thesis will evaluate the strategic programming documents and annual reports prepared to schools and labour office for the years 2001 -- 2008. Based on these findings I will form the conclusion to evaluate the consistency between the supply of labour offered by high school graduates and the demand of labour offered by the firms surveyed in the region. The amount of jobs offered by firms will be estimated based on the analysis of available information and data.
