Stereo audio amplifier with equalizer and remote control
Lipenský, Lukáš ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of realization, design and construction of a stereo audio amplifier with a pre-assigned ten band graphic equalizer. The amplifier operates in class D and has an output power of 2x140 W into a 4 load, speakers. The signal adjusted by the equalizer can be amplified in the amplifier and reproduced by the speakers or transmitted to a remote receiver, such as headphones, via a bluetooth module. The equalizer has 10 bands for adjusting the frequency characteristics of the signal and the signal level (volume). The settings of the individual, predefined characteristics according to the type of music you are currently listening to can be selected using the IR remote control.
Analog and switching audio amplifier design and comparison
Leikep, Filip ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
The goal of this Bachelor thesis was to design and manufacture analogue audio-frequency amplifier working in class AB and switching amplifier in class D and measure differences between them. Analogue amplifier is designed using discrete components, simulations were done in Micro-Cap. Class D amplifier will be implemented using an integrated circuit. Further in the thesis an output USB sound card is designed. It is compatible with PC and mobile phone. Audio outputs are galvanically insulated from USB to prevent the formation of a ground loop. Soundcard has two line outputs and amplifiers for two pairs of headphones. It was also measured and compared with soundcard integrated in computer. Class AB amplifier together with soundcard were built into the aluminium box.
Power supply and protection circuits for 6-channel audio amplifier
Kryška, Vojtěch ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with designing protection circuits for 6 channel audio amplifier. Created circuits provide AC voltage filtering, current peak limitation after switching on, delayed speakers connection for eliminating crackling, automatic shut down in case of overheath, LED indication of failure and waking up from standby mode. Created design focuses on keeping all channels grounds unconnected with each other for eliminating ground loops.
The design of Audio Amplifier
Schenk, David ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The theme of my bachelor’s thesis is a design of audio amplifier for the reproduction signal from electric guitars. I decided to combine the advantages of tube preamp with the advantages of digital amplifiers. The work describesthe principle activity of selected involvement, includes the anode voltage filter simulation, analysis and measurement of input and output parameters and thein evaluation. Technical documentation for realization of the amplifier contains printed circuit board.
Design of audio power amplifier with Bluetooth connectivity
Bartoň, Jan ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the task of designing an audio amplifier, operating in class D, with a nominal output power of 2 x 80 W with Bluetooth connectivity, supplemented by an equalizer and a state display. A power supply and a user interface are designed as well. At first, research regarding audio amplifiers is made, followed by a more thorough description of class D operating principles. Afterwards the actual synthesis of the desired amplifier is presented, followed by the power supply design procedure. The correctness of the synthesis is later verified by simulations in PSpice and LTSpice. Theoretical design is then practically built, and its parameters are confronted with expected values by measurements.
Design and realization stereophonic amplifier class D
Hradil, Jaroslav ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this project is to design a class D stereo audio amplifier with output power of 2 x 50 W into 4 load with THD+N less than 10%. Project is divided into three parts. First part describes the principles of class D amplifiers, the second part contains actual design of amplifier and the last part presents the results of the measurements.
Audio amplifier controlled by the IP protocol
Dvořák, Petr ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Kouřil, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is intent on projection and realization of a device whitch is capable of communicate with a remote client through the Ethernet making use of the protocol set TCP/IP. This communication will be used for the control of analog and digital outputs of the device, which is able to be attached to any amplifier of audio signals. One of used protocols is UDP. This protocol is closely described, because it is used for transfer of data controlling outputs. The whole device is controlled by microprocessor ATmega32, which operates the communication with the ethernet interface through the controller ENC28j60, the communication with the D/A converters MCP4922 and controlling of digital outputs and a display. The device has its own IP and MAC address for identification in the network. It is possible to edit both addresses in the menu of the device with the help of the module LCD, the display of 2x16 characters with fours buttons. The audio amplifier staffed by the voltage controlled by the computing amplifiers SSM2018T is connected to this device. The amplifier is proposed as six-channel with symmetric inputs through the connectors XLR and unsymmetric outputs through the connectors CINCH. The operating programme which is able to be run on PC with the operating system Windows is necessary for the remote control of the device in the network and all functions of the device are controlled by this programme. This programme enables to control the device after setting the IP address of the destination device and the communication establishment. The motherboard is proposed as a universal module which keeps at disposal up to 6 analog outputs with the range of the control voltage 0 – 5 V and up to 21 binary inputs/outputs.
Power audio amplifier with AC/DC converter
Melša, Vojtěch ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work was to design and construct a simple audio amplifier, which would be based of involvement and components used in switching power sources on the maximum degree (for example from usual ATX sources for computer). The main motivation for development is the existence of many old sources that do not use and big interest of users for the construction of home audio amplifiers for small and medium power. Amplifiers based on switching power sources with greater efficiency and less weight than comparable classic amplifiers (working in classes A, B or AB). Their disadvantage is the complicated design and introduction of distortion and spurious signals to the amplified signal. This work will be described a design of simple amplifier, which will minimize these negative effects. For shortcomings and wrong parameters this proposed involvement will be eventually described and implemented design of amplifier in class D.
Design of switching stereo audio power amplifier
Christen, Jiří ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This work deals with complete design of switch - mode audio power amplifier. The first part of the work describes basic principles of power amplifier operating in switch mode and differences between classes. Specific parts of the amplifier are analysed according to function and construction. The second part includes particular design and construction of the class D switching amplifier with a minimal output power 2x80W. The power stage is realized by an integrated circuit TAS5630 from Texas Instruments. Basic states of the power stage are signalized by LED diodes. The design includes correction preamplifier for adjusting volume and frequency response. The appliance is supplied from switch - mode power supply. Basic parametres were measured for individual parts.
Digital audio amplifier
Tiller, Jakub ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of bachelor thesis is the class-D power audio amplifiers. Their expansion is mainly caused by high efficiency and good audio parameters. The aim of this project is analysis of class-D amplifiers and measurement of the audio parameters. In consequence, there is the design of class-D apmlifier as laboratory equipment with possibility of digital gain controll. At the end of this thesis, there are designs of automatic measurment in VEE Pro environment. The laboratory exercise also introduced in this thesis.
