Tobiášová, Eliška ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this master thesis is to examine the so-called Green Deal and the related directives and regulations that are intended to help achieve the objectives set out in the Green Deal, as well as to analyse the fleets of the Member States of the European Union and the company with which cooperation has been established as part of this work. The thesis describes the Green Deal and its objectives. The European Union directives and plans with the aim of reducing CO2 that are currently approved or are yet to come into force are also mentioned, while at the same time they are compared with the directives and targets in force in the EU Member States, including the Czech Republic. In the following chapters, a brief description of the cars by type of fuel is given in order to follow a detailed analysis of the fleets of Germany, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. This analysis is carried out using graphs and official statistics available from government institutions. Furthermore, an analysis of the company's fleet is made, summarising in tables the parameters of the vehicles available to the company. The results of the fleet analysis are also summarised in graphs based on the year of vehicle manufacture, emissions, and fuel type. In addition, an analysis of hybrids and electric vehicles currently in the company's fleet is also provided. This analysis works with data provided by the company and examines the cost of driving these vehicles, consumption, and battery usage ratio. Finally, a suggestion is made for the replacement of the current vehicles with the aim of saving emissions.
Current methods for reducing energy consumption in industrial processes
Lauterbach, David ; Miklas, Václav (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with methods used for reducing energy consumption in industrial processes, their categorization, evaluation of approaches from the point of view of practical applicability, and formulation of leads for choosing the suitable one. First, the process improvement issue is introduced, followed by potential methods which are used nowadays. Furthermore, three chosen methods are presented (Pinch Analysis, Debottlenecking, and Energetic Management) that are often used in process improvement. Case studies, evaluation, and basic leads for their right choice are provided with the methods. In the last part, the European Union plan and the potential of given methods for fulfilling the requirements are presented. This thesis can be convenient primarily for getting familiar with the process improvement issue, given methods and how they can contribute to fulfilling EU requirements in the field of energy and environmental sustainability.
České politické strany a jejich pozice k European Green Deal
Kousalíková, Kristýna
The diploma thesis examines the attitudes of the Czech parliamentary parties to the European Green Deal - a new EU strategy for green growth, which is to make Europe the first climate - neutral continent. The main goal of this work is to identify the way in which parliamentary parties construct the European Green Deal. To fulfill this goal, an analysis of political discourse is performed. The results of the analysis are further embedded in broader environmental discourses, which were defined in the theoretical part of the work. By identifying these general environmental discourses, key assumptions are identified that influence the general way in which the parties view the relationship between society, the economy and the environment. The research revealed the existence of very different ways of constructing the European Green Deal by the Czech parliamentary parties and thus pointed out their different perceptions of the relationship between society, the economy and the environment.
Czech Parliamentary Political Parties and The Green Deal for Europe
Philipp, Martin ; Novotný, Vilém (advisor) ; Perottino, Michel (referee)
The thesis aims to explore a specific part of Czech party systém. Specifically, it maps the initial reactions of Czech parliamentary political parties to the European Commission's document called European Green Deal. To argument support from theoretical background, it uses the Integrated Theory of Party Goals and Party Change, which was formulated by Harmel and Janda 1994. The research was based on finding data in a form of clearly identifyable reactions on Green Deal, and they have been sorted by the type of reacrion (Postive, neutral, negative) Based on these and other findings, a summary table was created, which compares the parties in terms of access and response to the document. The purpose was to look at the approach of the parties in the party system after the mistake, ie. political earthquake in relation to a selected policy of post-materialist values. This meaning of the work has been fulfilled, and it can serve as a clear starting point for orientation in the issue for further research, or leaves open the possibilities of selected aspects, typically reasons for the reaction of a particular party, grasp and expand them by follow-up research, for example in the form of a case study. The chosen theory did not prove to be inappropriate, but the nature of the research did not allow it to be fully...
