Design of a 3D print head for mixing additives into cement mixtures
Vícha, Daniel ; Dočkal, Aleš (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of a 3D printing head for cement-composite mixtures (concretes). The device enables the addition of the basic component of the mixture by using a liquid solidification accelerator, followed by active homogenization of the mixture and dosing at the printing site. 3D printing of cementitious mixtures often leads to a loss of buckling stability of the printout. Therefore, it is necessary for the printed material to contain additives that accelerate the solidification of the mixture. However, these additives can cause clogging of the hoses when the mixture is pumped into the print head due to premature solidification. Hence, a more suitable solution is to mix these additives in the print head itself. The objective was to develop a 3D print head that allows for homogeneous mixing of the additives in the mixture, thereby eliminating complications associated with pumping. A working prototype of the print head was designed, which consists of a mixing and extrusion chamber. The mixing efficiency of this prototype was verified through numerical simulations using Particleworks. Subsequently, the prototype underwent a mixture experiment without a solidification accelerator to investigate pumpability through the printhead. Based on the numerical simulations, it was determined that the proposed prototype provides sufficient homogeneity of the solidification accelerator with the cement mixture, which should resolve the issues associated with pumping the accelerated mixture. By having a separate mixing chamber, the mixing efficiency can be controlled by adjusting the speed of the motor that drives the mixing shaft. The print head was designed to allow extrusion to be interrupted during print head passes. This was achieved by extruding the mixture into the open space of the chamber using a screw feeder. Therefore, based on the conducted experiments and numerical simulations, it can be concluded that the developed print head has the potential to enhance the quality of 3D printing of cement mixtures and eliminate the problems associated with pumping.
3D printing with silver and its use in jewellery
The Elf's Cookbook
Trčková, Štěpánka ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with creating a comprehensive set of original illustrations complemented by text. The illustrations are intended to convey information from the gastronomy domain of a fictional world of elves providing a detailed insight into a specific segment of that world. While there are many works in audiovisual media and literature focusing on the world of elves there is a lack of in-depth analysis of the gastronomy theme in this world. This thesis aims to fill that gap by presenting my own interpretation. It consists of a set of illustrations conveying how according to my vision elf cuisine might appear. Furthermore the thesis also focuses on the technical aspects of illustration and printing which are integral parts of the coherence of the work.

Polygrafic production PROGRAF
Ptáčková, Eva ; Burianová, Lenka (referee) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this Diploma thesis is the elaboration of the project documentation of a construction part for realization of the new building of the production hall and administrative building in a city of Slavkov u Brna. According to the local zoning plan, both buildings are designed on a plot in the development part of the city. The selected plot is conveniently located due to good accessibility to the D1 motorway. The office building will consist of two above-ground floors. On the first floor there will be the management of the company and the head of the press, the economic and commercial department, hygienic facilities. On the second floor there wil be a graphic studio, a day room and a spacious terrace. The construction system of an office building will be a wall longitudinal. The ground plan of the object is rectangular. the roof is designed as a mono-pitched roof. The factory is a single-storey building. Inside the factory hall there will be a polygraphical technological equipment. The location of the machines is only indicative as well as their choice. The hall will have its own equipment equipped with air conditioning and heating. It is designed as a precast concrete frame. The system is designed longitudinal. The object is a rectangular ground plan with a saddle roof.
Business Cards Generator

Photocatalytic Activity of Titanium Dioxide Printed Layers
Novotná, Michaela ; Jančovičová, Viera (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis was focused on the preparation of self-cleaning and photocatalyticaly active titanium dioxide thin films. Transparent and porous thin layers of titanium dioxide were prepared from sol-gel containing titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) as precursor with addition polyethylene glycol (PEG). Transparent thin layers of titanium dioxide were also prepared from colloidal solution titanium dioxide. The immobilization of thin titanium dioxide layers was performed by a sol-gel process on the soda lime glasses. Diffusion of sodium cation from soda lime glasses into titanium dioxide layer were blocked. Sol was deposited by printig method – micropiezo deposition. Sol and thin titanium dioxide layers were characterised by the physical-chemical method. For prepared sol viscosity, density and surface tension were measured. Thickness and hydrophilicity of titanium dioxide layers also were studied. The photocatalytic activity of the printed titanium layers were tested via the photocatalytic degradation of the 2,6-dichlorindophenol. The influence of addition PEG into the sol and influence of sol loading was studied. It was found that the addition of PEG into the sol significantly increased the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide layers.
Business Cards Generator
