The purpose of the Diploma thesis is to propose a common European unepmloyment benefit scheme. Main focus of this paper is to evaluate existing publications about supranational unemployment benefit scheme for EU/Eurozone and to create a new scheme of European unemployment benefit. The model is based on scenarios from data of three EU states (Czech Republic, Germany and Spain) and after selecting the best scenario, this scenario is extended to the whole area of European Union.
Unemployment in the Czechoslovak Republic in the early postwar years (1918- 1925)

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the question of unemployment during the first years of the Czechoslovak Republic, specifically it is the summer of 1918 to 1925. Introductory information about the history of unemployment in the Czech lands is followed by a representation of the economic and social situation of the First Czechoslovak Republic, along with demographic data. Next part is about solving of unemployment, including particular examples where the state put into practice legislative changes relating to the unemployed and tried to find solutions other than the payment of unemployment benefits. Included is the life situation of the unemployed, primarily the problems associated with this situation. One chapter is about the question of women at this time, because there was a significant change of their position in society. At the end of the thesis there is mentioned international cooperation in matters relating to unemployment benefits to citizens of other states, as well as the issue of the so-called "man of the world (světák) ". The main sources of the thesis are in addition to professional publications primarily historical sources from the National Archives and stenographic records of the meetings of the National Assembly.
Development and current situation in the area of early retirement

The aim of this thesis is an area of early retirement. It is focused on description and analysis of legislative changes which adjust this section of pension scheme. At the beginning of the thesis there is given a description of the social security scheme. There are depicted changes and reforms of the pension scheme. These legislative changes are demonstrated on the graphs. Thesis is an application of three model situations in pursuance of the analysis. On these examples there is drawn a comparison between early pensions, unemployment relief and "předdůchody" ( an option of leaving the labor market before reaching the retirement age and financing it from private sources). There are also compared the situations before and after the reform from 2011. The conclusion describes the results of the calculations from model situations. The thesis brings a summary of changes and reforms in the area of early retirement.
Analysis of mandatory expenditures - unemployment benefits

This thesis analyzes the development of mandatory expenditures in the Czech Republic, especially unemployment benefits for the years 2010 and 2011. In the first part of the work I analyze in detail the structure of mandatory expenditures and graphically depicts their development until 2010. The second chapter is devoted to the national employment policy and its structure. Detail is characterized by an active employment policy and its instruments. The final chapter is devoted to passive employment policy, development and the amount of unemployment benefits and whether this contribution may discourage work.
