Předmětem bakalářské práce je otázka nezaměstnanosti během prvních let trvání Československé republiky, konkrétněji se jedná o léta 1918 až 1925. Po úvodních informacích ohledně historie nezaměstnanosti na území českých zemí následuje vyobrazení hospodářské a sociální situace První republiky spolu s demografickými údaji. Další část práce je věnována řešení nezaměstnanosti včetně konkrétních příkladů, kdy stát uváděl do praxe legislativní úpravy týkající se nezaměstnaných, a snažil se nalézt jiná řešení, než výplatu podpor v nezaměstnanosti. Opomenuta není ani životní situace nezaměstnaných, především tedy problémy spojené s tímto stavem. Jedna kapitola je věnována otázce žen v dané době, neboť došlo k výraznému posunu jejich postavení ve společnosti. Na konci práce je zmíněna zahraniční spolupráce ve věcech týkajících se podpor v nezaměstnanosti občanům jiných států, jakož i problematika tzv. "světáků". Hlavními zdroji práce jsou vedle odborných publikací především dobové prameny získané z Národního archivu a stenografické záznamy schůzí Národního shromáždění. The subject of the bachelor thesis is the question of unemployment during the first years of the Czechoslovak Republic, specifically it is the summer of 1918 to 1925. Introductory information about the history of unemployment in the Czech lands is followed by a representation of the economic and social situation of the First Czechoslovak Republic, along with demographic data. Next part is about solving of unemployment, including particular examples where the state put into practice legislative changes relating to the unemployed and tried to find solutions other than the payment of unemployment benefits. Included is the life situation of the unemployed, primarily the problems associated with this situation. One chapter is about the question of women at this time, because there was a significant change of their position in society. At the end of the thesis there is mentioned international cooperation in matters relating to unemployment benefits to citizens of other states, as well as the issue of the so-called "man of the world (světák) ". The main sources of the thesis are in addition to professional publications primarily historical sources from the National Archives and stenographic records of the meetings of the National Assembly.
