Posouzení subchronické toxicity směsí pesticidů na raky
HOVORKOVÁ, Anna
Prometryn, belonging to the group of s-triazines, has been extensively used in the case of protection of maize production against broadleaf weeds and grasses. Its use was banned by the EU in 2004. Chloridazone is a pyridazone herbicide used to protect beet production and to control broadleaf weeds. Its properties increase the potential for the transfer of this pesticide to the aquatic environment. Together with its metabolites, it has been detected in groundwater in the Czech Republic. Its use in the Czech Republic has been banned since 2020. The adventitious properties and long-term use of these substances may increase the risk of contamination of non-target ecosystems by the pesticides used and their metabolites, which may form mixtures in this environment and thus have an even riskier impact on the environment. The aim of this work was to assess the subchronic toxicity of the pesticide mixture formed of the concentrations of these pesticides on the signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) in comparison with the control and pesticides tested alone. A subchronic toxicity test of 20 days duration followed by 10 days depuration was used to obtain the results. The criteria evaluating the toxicity of the mixture were the biochemical profile of haemolymph, oxidative stress level and antioxidant enzyme activity from hepatopancreas, muscle and gill samples. The biochemical profile of haemolymph was significantly affected in individuals tested in the pesticide mixture. For biomarkers altered due to the mixture, suppression of the effect of prometryn in the mixture was observed in some cases. The analysis of antioxidant biomarkers did not show a higher toxicity of the mixture over the pesticides tested alone. In the case of antioxidants, a greater effect was observed for prometryn tested alone, where in some cases its presence in the mixture suppressed the effects of chloridazon in the mixture.
Passengers' rights to compensation and assistence in air transport in the light of European Union Law
Petrovič, Ondřej ; Exner, Jan (advisor) ; Svobodová, Magdaléna (referee)
Passengers' rights to compensation and assistance in air transport in the light of European Union Law Abstract This thesis deals with the balance of rights and obligations of passengers and air carriers in Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 establishing common rules on compensation and assistance to air passengers in the event of denied boarding and of cancellation or long delay of flights. The first part analyses the history of international and European aviation law together with their interrelationship. In the second part, the Compensation Regulation as such is analysed in detail. Its individual provisions are analysed together with related and recent case law. Particular attention is then paid to denied boarding, cancellation, and flight delays in the light of passengers' specific rights to compensation. In addition to the analysis of the individual provisions of the Compensation Regulation, the author's own reflection on possible improvements to the current regulation in the future and his own view on the aforementioned balance of the Compensation Regulation are included in the thesis. The third part of the thesis then deals with the specific possibilities of recovering individual compensation from the position of passengers and the...

METHODS OF CURRENCY PORTFOLIO CREATION
Budík, Jan ; Kohút, Michal (referee) ; Král, Miloš (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with the method of the currency portfolio creation focused on short-term trading, which not exceed one business day. That is the reason why is necessary to increase the profitability of investment positions by using financial leverage. Development of proposed investment strategies is realized with use of computer technology in combination with software that allows direct access to the foreign exchange market. The software enables direct access to a database of historical prices and has an implemented a programming language that allows effective processing of statistical analyzes, which is required for development of investment strategies. The investment strategies are optimized and tested on a database of historical price movements from 1. 1. 2004 to 31. 12. 2012 for the major currency pairs EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY. The main assumption of entry to the market for proposed investment strategies is based on specific time intervals during the day, where is an increased probability of new short-term trends beginnings. The doctoral thesis statistically validated this assumption. The proposed method of creation a currency portfolio was applied to real market since 1. 1. 2013 to 30. 9. 2013 and was used for 20 000 $ trading account. Profitability of proposed method of creation a currency portfolio is 26,89%.
Characterisation and maturation process of Edam type cheese
Dostálková, Andrea ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Vítová, Eva (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of aroma compounds and free/bound fatty acids in model samples of Edam type cheeses. Various combinations of microbial cultures, basic mesophilic and four selected strains of thermophilic Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum, were used for cheese production. The main aim was to judge the influence of microbial cultures on content of measured parameters, the changes during ripening were also followed. The HS-SPME-GC-MS method was used for identification and semiquantification of aroma compounds. The lipids from cheese were extracted based on ISO 1735:2004, fatty acids were identified and quantified using GC-FID method after conversion to methyl esters by acid esterification with boron trifluoride in methanol. In total 50 volatile compounds were identified in samples, 11 alcohols, 5 aldehydes, 7 ketones, 6 acids, 10 esters, 3 lactones, 2 sulphur compounds and 6 „others“; all of them are considered as aroma active. About 30–40 compounds were identified in single samples, alcohols, acids and ketones were the predominant. The number as well as the content of compounds identified decreased slightly during ripening. In total 17 free/bound fatty acids were identified in samples, their content also decreased during ripening. Myristic, palmitic, stearic and oleic acids were the predominant. The significant differences (p

Banach Algebras
Machovičová, Tatiana ; Nechvátal, Luděk (referee) ; Franců, Jan (advisor)
By Banach algebra we mean Banach space enriched with a multiplication operation. It is a mathematical structure that is used in the non-periodic homogenization of composite materials. The theory of classical homogenization studies materials assuming the periodicity of the structure. For real materials, the assumption of a periodicity is not enough and is replaced by the so-called an abstract hypothesis based on a concept composed mainly of the spectrum of Banach algebra and Sigma convergence. This theory was introduced in 2004.
