Influence of adhesive layer on the mechanical behavior of PP+ inorganic filler composite.
Švestková, Dana ; Krčma, František (referee) ; Nezbedová, Eva (advisor)
The diploma thesis was dealt with the study of system PP and particular filler, specifically PPH and like a filler was used commercially available CaCO3 (SOCAL P3). This type of filler is declared by the producer as a filler without surface treatment. The submitted thesis had a goal to find and testing the suitable method and methodology for defined surface treatment of the filler. This is the first step for systematic study of influence the various types of adhesive layer on mechanical properties of declared composite. The plasma discharge behind static pressure was used for the surface treatment of the fillers. These fillers were afterwards analyzed by using of sedimentation analysis, infra - red spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scan electron microscopy (SEM). The composites with various volume part of the fillers were prepared in PIB and studied by short-time tests. Regarding to experimental demand there wasn't possible to realize the whole originally intended program i. e. study of influence the different types of adhesive layer, including to form the model for FEM approach. Nevertheless finding and testing the suitable method of surface treatment is completely basic for the others study. The above mentioned method was used in this application for the first time and it is possible to consider this process like an original approach.

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to elucidate the structure and properties of wood as a material. It includes the most important facts about wood. It describes the concrete macroscopic and microscopic structure, focusing on the physical and mechanical properties. The main part of the thesis deals with a constructional use of wood. It provides information on the suitability of wood for construction.
Superhard cutting materials
Janištinová, Edita ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is focused on superhard cutting materials (polycrystalline diamond and polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) in term of their marking, production, physical and mechanical properties (hardness, density, electrical and thermal conductivity), chemical properties and application areas. It describes the range of superhard materials for selected producers of tools and tool materials, including recommended cutting conditions.
Cermets
Medůsek, Milan ; Dvořáček, Jan (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on cermets, which are ranked among tool materials. At the beginning is an overview, distribution and description of the basic materials for cutting tools. The main part follow, which deals with cermets themselves in more detail, from the description of their history through to the production and marking up of the effects of individual elements of the structure and properties of the cermets. In the conclusion of this work is an example of cermets in the manufacturing range of the world´s leading producer of tools and tool materials.

Study of structural and mechanical properties of dendrimers
Ščudlová, Jolana ; Legut,, Dominik (referee) ; Žídek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the research on organized supermolecular structures. These structures are present in many polymeric materials. Mainly in bio-materials, they cause biological activity. Collagen fibril and dendrimers are suitable materials for molecular modeling. Collagen is natural protein with long, fibrous structure. Its fibrils show high elasticity. This property makes the material useful for certain applications. Dendrimers are synthetic macromolecules with regular and highly branched architecture. Modeling of their properties can be useful for improvement of various molecular models. The molecular structure of collagen fibril and dendrimers was studied by molecular dynamics simulations. The structures were built in the GROMACS software. Elastic deformation of collagen fibril was investigated. In case of dendrimers, shape and gyration radii were calculated from molecular models. Properties of these two materials are well described in literature. Therefore, modeling results can be compared to experimentally measured properties.
