Detection of Subjects Presence in Protected Area
Múdry, Adam ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and implement a system for detecting the presence of the subject in the protected area using the embedded platform ESP32. The proposed system is able to use several different sensors, allowing the detection of motion, sound, allowing to take photos, etc. The solution was also implemented with the help of the Raspberry Pi platform as a control server and optionally uses cloud services for greater deployment flexibility.
Sensors for driver assistance systems
Ptáček, Martin ; Čala, Martin (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to vehicle stabilization systems, especially to the Anti-lock Braking System ABS, Anti-Skid Regulation ASR and Electronic Stability Program ESP. The main emphasis is placed on sensors needed for implementation of these systems and their required parameters. Findings learned are applied for the implementation of the stabilization system in the model car of the scale 1:10. The relation between the quality of measured sensor data and quality of the resulting stabilization is analyzed using model platfrom testing.
HW platform for surveillance over maritime container transport
Roško, Tomáš ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The complexity of international transportation is increasing, and with that, the logistics requirements also increase: such as the need to monitor containers’ location or measure inside conditions. Despite these demands, marine transportation faces specific technical problems, such as the need for sending data precisely, often, and with low energy consumption. This paper aims to create a monitoring device that meets the demands of marine transportation. The device combines satellite and mobile networks to control the container location and, at the same time, allows for precise pinpointing of place and availability of access while having low battery consumption. The theoretical part of the paper explains the process of selecting components and justification of the process with regard to market options. The practical part contains a diagram of the connection of the modules and sensors. Next, the design and manufacture of the printed circuit board and custom 3D printed box are discussed. The software part deals with data protocol and the description of the application, which is then tested with a particular focus on measuring and transmitting the values onto the server.
Intelligent Window Shutter System
Fiala, Marek ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to develop and build a functional prototype of an intelligent window shutter system using Espressif's ESP32 microchip. The reader finds out what is home automation, what kinds of automated window shutters the current market already offers, and a description of what components and peripherals are used in the system. The thesis offers a complete process from design to physical construction. The description includes schematics of the final wiring, modeling of a printed circuit board, 3D model of the system, software solution, and user control of the system using a Home assistant automation system.
Test Application for Microcontroller ESP32
Šintaj, Oliver ; Jakubík, Mário (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and design of a test application for the ESP32 microcontroller for the company ELCOM, spoločnosť s ručením obmedzeným, Prešov (hereinafter referred to as Elcom). The chapter on the theoretical basis of the work describes the necessary information for working with ESP32. The next chapter focuses on the analysis of the current implementation. The last chapter presents the proposal and the form of implementation together with the benefits of the new proposal.
Multisensor Module for Raspberry Pi Zero
Kažimír, Miroslav ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of distributed control systems in home automation. It focuses on open systems and the possibilities of expanding them with new devices with sufficiently universal use. The solution lies in the design of multi-sensor devices that would cover several functions required by such systems. This work includes the creation of a room monitor in the form of an add-on module for the Raspberry Pi Zero computer and a modular wall switch using the ESP32 platform. The benefits of this work are new open devices with the potential for further expansion with additional modules.
System for processing of measured physical quantities
Škutová, Miroslava ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the overall design of a system for measurement and visualization of physical quantities. Emphasis is placed on the modularity of the system. The work proposes modules for measuring environmental variables, hot water and energy consumption. A program for data collection and storage in a time series database has been developed. The measured physical quantities are displayed in real time in an interactive web interface.
Cryptography on constrained devices
Šťovíček, Petr ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyzes the possibilities of applying cryptographic primitives and protocols to various computationally and memory constrained devices. It then implements a secure data collection system from sensors. In its theoretical part, the work examines individual cryptographic algorithms, the RIOT operating system and available methods of wireless data transmission. It then presents the results of performance tests of various cryptographic operations. On this basis, it designs and implements a system that ensures the confidentiality, authenticity and integrity of transmitted data.
Design and implementation of custom home automation device
Šilar, Adam ; Sýkora, Tomáš (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the market of commercial smart home devices, then, based on the obtained information, choose one platform and design a solution for implementing your own smart device into the platform. The solution includes several experimental attempts, that try to integrate their own devices into the Google Home platform. The proposed solution deals with the creation of the definition of its own device in the platform for one or more devices in one project. The developed program for the device with the selected microcontroller supports the use of local control of commands on the home network with the help of available protocols without the use of third-party internet services.
Monitoring of production facilities
Borsuk, Adam ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to study the possibilities of creating a monitoring system for older production facilities already in operation. Select the necessary components for the nature of the equipment to create a system that is able to capture and provide information about activities on the equipment. The second goal is to design a suitable communication model for clear information about the operation, sending and storing data. The third goal is to analyze the dual-core ESP32 microprocessor against its predecessors in the role of system control unit.
