Modelling the wireless transmission channel in OPNET Modeler simulation environment
Spiglazova, Světlana ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with modeling wireless transmission in simulation environment OPNET Modeler. In theoretical part, there is described the very substance of spreading the signal via electromagnetic wave including impact of the surroundings that affects the spreading. These impacts have an influence on described selected parameters of wireless transmission of the signal characterizing its quality. Furthermore, there is described the OPNET Modeler setting, which allows designing the wireless transmission and by means of simulation verifies its functionality and acquires it is parameters. The transmission of the signal from transmitter to receiver itself is divided to individual steps, which are described in detail considering the implementation in aforementioned environment. In practical part, there is configured the basic model of wireless network and also executed series of simulations with different variants of commonly adjustable basic parameters of the transmission, as signal modulation, antenna types and network topology. Additionally, attention is turned to the stages of transmission itself, philosophy of their cooperation based on sharing the information via data units called TDA and their implementation in source code of the C++ language called transmission models. Based on these foundations is beyond beforehand defined created new user TDA and by means of simulation verified its correct implementation within packet switching. Values of the selected including user TDA are written in the window of simulation console with the help of the C++ language. Acquired results of the simulations are analyzed and documented in the conclusion. Source codes are available in the diploma thesis appendix.
Position system design
Balogh, Jaroslav ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Čech, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis was to explore possibilities, design and build 2D position system driven by PC via USB. ATmega16 and FT232R were used as the most important parts of hardware solution. Software for control of the position system was designed in C++ Builder and it can run under MS Windows XP. This work is based on semestral thesis and in future can be used in other applications or modified. 2D position system will be later used by UBMI in education and scientific applications.
SIP Protocol Implementation
Dušek, Martin ; Zukal, Martin (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals in detail with the SIP protocol – a method of communication between two entities, various types of transmitted messages and their content. Few SIP libraries are introduced and two of them are used for development of an application for audio/video conference-calls. Compilation of OPAL and PTlib libraries for Windows 7 Professional (64bit) is described, and problems resulting from lack of information provided by authors. New improved “how to build” is presented. At the end, paper focuses on several ways of development of mentioned application.
Software for Processing of Head Position Sensor Data
Slávik, Vladimír ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)
The paper introduces briefly topics of retinal detachment, vitrectomy and applicable postoperative care. A system for increasing patient comfort is described, which continuously records and signalizes head tilt. The software part of aforementioned system is implemented, using C++ Builder programming environment and helper libraries supplied by system's hardware component vendors. This software application allows user to analyze recorded data and manage the system. Application's user interface and usage is described in detail, as well as implementation details concerning internal functions and organization.
Implemetation of algorithms for blind source separation in C/C++ language
Funderák, Marcel ; Malý, Jan (referee) ; Míča, Ivan (advisor)
This thesis is describing one of the methods of Blind Source Separation (BSS) which is Independent Component Analysis. There is shown some brief introduction to the theory behind in which there are explained some basic findings. These findings are important for understanding the theory behind algorithms of ICA. These theoretical findings include primarily explanations of basic knowledge of statistics science. In next part there are described methods which are advisable for preprocessing of input signals – mainly Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and whitening of signals. Mainly whitening is very important part of solution of ICA algorithms. Then there are described different ICA algorithm solutions and especially introduction in this problematic. FastICA algorithm description is mainly depicted because it is very good for computer processing since it is strong and it is less computer demanding than other algorithms. After that follows implementation of one of the ICA algorithm in C++ programming language. FastICA algorithm for complex valued signal was chosen.
Protocol model design in OMNET++ simulator
Vohralík, Jan ; Matocha, Tomáš (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The aim of this Thesis is giving information about the network simulating system OMNeT++ and its extension INET framework and explore possible solution to implement missing protocol RIP. OMNeT++ is a discrete-event simulation environment. Source code is available and free for teaching and research purposes. Its primary application area is the simulation of communication networks, but because of its generic and flexible architecture, is successfully used in other areas like the simulation of complex IT systems, queueing networks or hardware architectures as well. The first part of Thesis decribes RIP protocol operations and conception of OMNeT++. At the second part of Thesis the implementation design and discussion of created modules and component is presented here. The final part of the Thesis was creating the laboratory problem on the basis experience gained. Implementation is realized in C++ programming language.
Design, realization and simulation of network protocols in NS2
Zvolenský, Daniel ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to become familiar with simulation environment Network Simulator 2, study the problems of sensor networks and their support in the simulator and implement the selected protocol and verify its funcitonality in a practical simulation.
3D data processing
Babinec, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis falls within the field of computer vision. It describes the development of the software environment for 3D data processing. The thesis deals with the design of C++ classes suitable for scene description and representation of bonding conditions between scenes elements. There is also discussed the solution of camera calibration, geometric distortion identification and 3D coordinates reconstruction. The solving of these tasks is augmented with planarity and linearity conditions, which support projection equations and augment the computational ability of the environment.
Use of reliable multicast for feedback transmission in IPTV
Sobotka, David ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This Diploma thesis is focused on a part of network communication in the system of IPTV using the protocol to provide transmission of real-time multimedia RTP, specifically using the control protocol RTCP to carry voting results. The thesis further shows variants and ways of using reliable multicast and specific multicast (SSM). The main practical goal of this thesis is the program for the simulation of carrying voting results that I have created in the C++ programming language for MS Windows platform. The result is the client program receiving an inquiry from the server and reacting by application packets of the RTCP protocol. On the other side is the server program that picks up the packets and processes them. The programs run in the console mode, thus they have no graphical user interface. A user in the server program can create any inquiry and consequently send it to the client. Furthermore, the server can possibly view the current results of voting. In the client program a user can vote and possibly send another vote that will simulate other clients.
