Care of Options for Children with Neuromuscular Diseases and Their Way of Special Educational Support in the Education Process in Region South of Bohemia
GRAUSAMOVÁ, Jana
Bachelor thesis is entitled "How to care for children with neuromuscular diseases and their ways of special educational support in the education process in the region of South Bohemia" and is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and there I define the concept of physical disability and neuromuscular diseases. Neuromuscular diseases are engaged in the second chapter where I first divide them by types of the disease and then I describe them in detail. In the third chapter I describe the multidisciplinary team and means of comprehensive rehabilitation system medical, social, educational and occupational. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I discuss ways of teaching support in the education process. When processing the theoretical part I use professional literature and professional journals. In empirical part I characterize the objective work, research methodology, obtained data analysis and finally, the discussion. The research was conducted by qualitative data collection using semi-standardized interview. Most respondents were approached by telephone or written request for cooperation in research. With these respondents I subsequently met in person in a specific facility. For reasons of keeping the anonymity the names of respondents and facilities are not listed in the thesis. The interviews were held in private and always by appointment except the students. The main aim was to find out not only what care options have children with neuromuscular disease and what is the special pedagogical support in education, but also how to incorporate children into the collective, what experience the educators have in integrating and how the parents look at it. These objectives are achieved. Work could be used for students who would serve as a resource. Furthermore, it could also serve for educators and parents who are related to this issue and are considering the integration of their child.
Even you are able to work - with your voice.
POSKOČILOVÁ, Lenka
The Bachelor´s Diploma thesis deals with project "Even you can work with your voice!", which took place in Arpida, rehabilitation centre for disabled people in Budweis. Two adult clients became involved in the project, who were working in a local library and they had the use of a special voice control computers. The thesis consists of three parts - the theoretical part, research and appendices. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with basic terms of disability. The second chapter describes the physical disability especially focused on cerebral palsy, on its causes, forms and associative conditions speech disability and intellectual disability. Next, the thesis deals with education of physically disabled people, integration and inclusion are mentioned. I also pay attention to the importance of supporting disabled people in the workplace and the impact of legislation. I deal with personal assistance and the importance of ethical treatment of social workers with their clients. In the last chapter I describe the project "Even you can work with your voice!", the organisation "Polovina nebe" (Half of Heaven), which put the project into practice and the Arpida centre, where the project took place in the South Bohemian Region. The thesis aim is the evaluation of the project "Even you can work with your voice!" and the evaluation of information technologies application, which clients used for their work. I tried to find out, which benefits the realisation of the project provided. I want to gain the information about, how the organization emloyees were satisfied with provided service from the clients, who were involved in the project. For achieving the practical goal I used the qualitative survey. The data winning was made with the use of participant observation method and structured interviews. In view of the fact that I worked as a personal assistant who helped clients with their work content skills, I had the opportunity to watch, how the project has been naturally developing. I was a participant observer, then. The survey group was constituted by two clients, who were the direct participants of the project and Arpida centre employees, who used the offered service in the local library. From the results of the survey it is evident that the main goal of the project, to teach the target group to control a computer with their voice, could not be achieved, regarding to the clients´ degree in speech-language pathology, who were chosen for the realization of the project in Arpida centre. The next specific goals and benefits, which were defined at the beginning of the project, were achieved. As emerged from the survey, employees evaluated the provided services very positively, clients were fully knowledgeable in their work and they were willing to provide the required information and arrange things individually according to the emloyees´ needs. There are structured interviews included in an appendix part with open questions not only for the clients but for the employees of the centre, too. The exact written transcript of all the interviews with the employees of the centre is available in the next appendix. There is also mentioned a monthly account of workers and a personal assistant involved in the project. The monthly accounts belong to the necessary administration, which was regularly filled in at the end of the month. The thesis can be contribution to our society. It can show other people, that physically disabled people have the chance to get a good job and they can find their use at the open labour market. The thesis can provide a view on how the clients themselves describe their opportunity to work and become integrated.

Examples of successful integrations of students with physical disabilities in the mainstream education
HEŘMANOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis deals with the examples of successful integration of students with disabilities in the mainstream education in České Budějovice and nearby. The integration of students with the disabilities is currently widespread and it can be frequently found in common types of schools. The thesis consists of three parts: theoretical, practical and appendix. The theoretical part of this thesis discusses the basic concepts which are related to the disability. The most popular types of the physical disability are divided and described there. In the following part a pupil with his special educational needs and learning opportunities is characterized in terms of the legislation. The study also deals with the concepts of integration and inclusion. The term integration is legislatively known in the Czech Republic since 1989. In the process of integration, the supportive measures for the pupils with special educational needs are considerably important. They are e.g.; the early custody and the special educational support. This type of integration should be prepared and planned thoroughly before its creation. The factors that affect this process play an important role in the proces of integration. These factors are particularly; the family, especially the parents, school, class groups, teachers, counseling, diagnosis, and also the form of integration. In any case the main aim of this study is to find and describe the examples of successful integration of students with disabilities in the mainstream education. Moreover, the partial goals are to find out the factors which are positively influencing this process as well as the factors that are not desirable in this process. The another objective is to identify the level of the teamwork between the school, parents and the school counseling facility and then between the cooperation with fellow pupil, teacher's assistant and the classroom teacher. To achieve the above mentioned practical goals the qualitative research has been used. The data were collected with using of the questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The research sample consisted of five students with disabilities who were integrated in mainstream elementary schools in České Budějovice and also in the surrounding area. Furthermore, the research group was made of the parents and classroom teachers of the integrated pupils. The questionnaires with the opened questions were created for these pupils and their parents. The surveys differed in the varied number of questions and their content. In addition the semi-structured interviews were conducted with classroom teachers of the integrated pupils. On the basis of the results, it is apparently evident that the most important factors affect the integration of the human factors. All the people, involved in the integration, are the most important factors for the success of the process. It is a collaboration of the parents and school, teacher's assistant collaboration with the classroom teacher, assistant teacher working with an integrated pupil, pupil´s positive acceptance from the mainstream classmates and the school cooperation with the special educational center. The cooperation between all the stakeholders is essential for the successful integration process. Furthermore, the supportive measures which are important could be for instance; the special methods, compensation, rehabilitation and teaching aids, special teaching materials and more. The highest possible supportive measure is to establish a teaching assistant profession. This work also describes the examples of the successful integration while each of them is unique. There is no precise instruction how to provide the successful integration. It always depends on the capabilities of the school and on the individual skills of integrated pupil. Each student needs to be supported by the different security measures which can help him to overcome the obstacles that cause a physical disability.
