SxS Vehicle Concept
Kylar, Jakub ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create your own conceptual design of an SxS vehicle. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part consists of a search, where the individual types of axles used in SxS vehicles, their specifics to common types of suspension are analyzed in detail and then the design solutions of major manufacturers are compared. In the next part of the research, the basic types of drive devices are listed. This chapter is divided into parts (engine, transmission, differential, etc.). Here, too, there is a chapter on special requirements for these components, as well as a comparison of major manufacturers, respectively. their solution. The last part describes the conceptual design of the SxS vehicle itself using some computational relationships, but it is not a structural design, and this part serves more for an idea.
Hosts and transmission of the crayfish plague pathogen Aphanomyces astaci
Svoboda, Jiří
The crayfish plague pathogen, the oomycete Aphanomyces astaci, has been decimating populations of European crayfish species for more than 150 years, and is therefore considered one of the 100 worst world's invasive species. A. astaci is highly specialised for a parasitic life, but it can be isolated from moribund crayfish and grown on synthetic media, as it is the case also for several other oomycetes (chapter 7). The life of A. astaci includes three basic forms: mycelium in host's tissues, and the infective units occurring in water, zoospores and cysts. All North American crayfish species tested so far have shown some resistance to A. astaci, i.e., they could carry the infection for long, serving as vectors of the pathogen. Massive sporulation from infected North American crayfish starts when the host is moulting, stressed, or dying (chapter 4). However, I could show in my experiments that some sporulation occurs even from apparently healthy and non-moulting American crayfish hosting A. astaci, so infected North American crayfish must be considered a permanent source of the infection (chapter 4). Five genotype groups of A. astaci have already been distinguished. Strains from a particular genotype group probably share the same original host crayfish species of North American origin. Nevertheless, they can...
Power markets and the EU ETS: How volatility propagates across Central Europe?
Jurka, Vojtěch ; Baruník, Jozef (advisor) ; Čech, František (referee)
The thesis deals with connectedness in the uncertainty of the carbon and power markets in Central Europe. While the drivers of power price were extensively documented in the literature, we investigate how uncertainty propagates between the German power market and its production factors using a recently developed framework of connectedness measurement. The connections in uncertainty on markets are insightful for the decision of the agents that require a premium for undertaking risk. The empirical results suggest that connectedness in uncertainty significantly varies over the studied period. The interdependence of power with coal decreases while the spillovers between gas and power rise on importance reflecting the changes in generation mix of Germany. For most of the period, the volatility of carbon and power markets is highly correlated. However, the share of volatility transmission spikes several times during the period of 2016-2019. In reaction to the reform of the EU Emission Trading Scheme, the uncertainty about emission allowance prices propagates to the German power market, increasing the uncertainty about power prices on the long horizon.
Powertrain of a modern hybrid vehicles
Novák, Štěpán ; Zajac, Roman (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about the drivetrain in modern hybrid vehicles. It describes the function of a hybrid drivetrain and divides it according to structure, degree of hybridization and placement of the electric motor. It characterizes the design solution of the main components of a hybrid drivetrain. It focuses on the powertrain of selected hybrid vehicles and describes the emissions issue. The conclusion consists of evaluation of the hybrid drivetrain and its vision for the future.
Powertrain of a modern electric vehicles
Mraček, Pavel ; Zajac, Roman (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with powertrains of modern electric vehicles. The opening part briefly mentions the important historical milestones of electric mobility. The main part of the thesis describes different concepts of powertrain layouts and analyses its main components. The described components are mainly electric motors, batteries, and transmissions. The whole thesis is concluded with comparison of mass–produced electric cars divided into two categories according to the price.
Determination of sound power level of transmission
Švanigová, Lenka ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
The field of vibrations and associated noises is a very current topic. Noise can be measured with different equipment and the gained data might be compared using different methods, which are in accordance with defined norms. This bachelor thesis deals with the CSN EN ISO 9614 norm, especially its first part which focuses on the method of measuring in points. To apply this method to measure the transmission, basic terminology and formulas used to determine the individual indicators were described in detail. The whole procedure was applied to two industrial transmission units with different parameters and transmitted power. The total sound power on these sources was determined as well as the sound power levels for the individual measured sides, even without using the A-filter, which is the most commonly used filter in transmissions. Lastly, acoustic maps were created. These maps make it possible to discover locations which dominantly contribute to the total sound power level.
The restoration of Trabant 601 Historic Vehicle
Krček, Štěpán ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a technical procedure for the renovation of the automobile Trabant 601 and to subsequently describe the use of this procedure in practice. The first part describes the history and development of the car manufacturer VEB Sachcenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. This is followed by the history of the automobile Trabant 601 with the description of manufactured variants. The contents of the subsequent chapters are the technical descriptions of the vehicle and of the procedure for its renovation. The whole process of renovation is substantiated by photographic documentation. The last part includes financial assessment of the whole project.
Li-Fi, use of light and LED to communicate between luminaires and user
Ludányi, Róbert ; Novák, Daniel (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the use of light and LEDs for communication between the light and the user. In the introduction, the principles of VLC, which Li-Fi is part of, are described. The work also contains issues on the topics of Li-Fi, such as methods of modulation of carrier signals for data transmission, comparisons between other wireless communications, individual elements of optical frontends, current versions of Li-Fi and other possible uses of this technology. The work also contains the designing of a system working on the principle of Li-Fi.
Design and implementation of network collector
Bošeľa, Jaroslav ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Oujezský, Václav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with description of information protocol of network flow, mainly definition of Cisco NetFlow version 9. Describes it’s features, message format and attributes of transmitted data. The thesis is primarly focused onto NetFlow v9 transmitted template, which defines fileds and data in consecutive data flow. The essence of the thesis consists in implementation of simple NetFlow v9 parser, which has been programmed in Python prog.language, it’s tests of captured UDP data from file and port capture testing on development server in lab. There is a possibility of saving captured and parsed data into prepared database within implementation as output from capturing.
Gear design with tolerance analysis
Křivohlavý, Petr ; Křupka, Jiří (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with tolerances of machine elements. The thesis explains dimensional and geometrical tolerance, surface texture and their interdependence. On the basis of the stated facts a simple technique is established to be followed when setting tolerance of machine elements. The procedure is further applied on the transmission that was selected from the three models on hand. The technique is focused mostly on shaft and gear tolerance. The thesis should provide the reader with understanding of how to tolerate selected machine elements.
