Integration of ADHD children in preschool age

ADHD Syndrome represents an attention disorder linked to hyperactivity taking shape since early childhood. The main aim is a description of the ADHD syndrome in children at pre-school age, and identification of whether it is or is not beneficial. One main research question is posed: Is integration of children with ADHD at pre-school age beneficial? Further, three other partial questions are posed: Is integration with the suport of a teaching assistant beneficial to the student? Is integration of children with ADHD beneficial to their classmates? Are teachers working with children informed enough about ADHD? The practical part of this bachelor thesis is processed using qualitative research method together with a group of teaching assistants having experience educating children with ADHD syndrome, implemented via the technique of a semi-structured interview. The first part of interviews is focused on the general data about informants. The second part is focused on the benefits of integrating children with ADHD at pre-school age. Questions in the third part are related to the benefits of integration of children with ADHD with the support of a teaching assistant. The fourth part of the interview is oriented toward the benefits of ADHD child integration for other students, and the last part is focused on teachers´ awareness about ADHD syndrome. Interviews are analysed and synthesised. The thesis reaches the following finding: the benefits of integrating children with ADHD cannot be unequivocally evaluated, while the benefits of integration with teaching assistant support can be evaluated as unequivocally positive. Integration benefits for classmates cannot be unequivocally evaluated. Further, the thesis finds out that teachers are not informed enough about ADHD syndrome.
Inclusive education from the teacher´s point of view

The bachelor thesis deals with inclusive education from the teacher's point of view. In the theoretical part, it is described the development of education - from the time of separation when students with any defect or problem segregate from others, to the concept of inclusion which tries to overcome this concept and turns it all. In particular, inclusive education is based on the idea of joint learning and inclusion. This is linked to the theme of individual plan, support measures, etc. In the practical part, a number of research questions are asked in the quantitative survey focusing on how teachers perceive inclusiveness in schools, its aspects and whether they are prepared with this concept work.
Interventions of assistant teacher in the proces of inclusive education in primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the work of teaching assistant working with pupils with disabilities at the common primary school. Within the framework of the inclusive education the number of pupils with disabilities is increasing and in the result increase also the teaching assistent in the primary school. Work with teaching assistant is in the beginning for many schools but there are still various problems. This topic is relevant today and it is discussed in both academic field and general public. The aim of this diploma thesis is to define the work of the teaching assistants at the primary school and the partial aim is to find out how the teaching assistants perceive their profession or what they would change. To meet these goals, qualitative research methods were used, especially semi-structured interviews together with the information from the respondent's demographic survey. The interviews were processed using note- based coding and for obtained data analytical induction was used. The result of the research is an overview of the activities of the assistant teacher and teamwork of teachers and other professional staff. The role of the teacher in the elementary education of socially disadvantaget pupils

The thesis deals with the role played by the teacher in the education of pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion. The aim of the thesis is to understand the relationship between elementary school and the education of pupils with special educational needs. The author wants to find out how teachers cope with the requirements of inclusive education in their day-to-day practice. Another issue is whether pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion have access to institutionalized help and what role play teachers in accessing this assistance. The author proceeds through qualitative research. The theoretical basis for research work is the concept of social exclusion and the concept of teacher role in the level of expectation, concept and performance. The thesis presents a legislative framework which formulates the state's current expectations towards schools in the education of pupils with specific educational needs. Secondary education of mentally handicapped pupils in practical schools

The diploma thesis contains in the theoretical part a discussion about the importance of education of pupils with moderate mental disabilities, defines persons with mental disabilities, presents their characteristic peculiarities in relation to their education at the level of secondary education. It describes the Framework Educational Programs for practical schools with one- year and two-year training. The exploratory part focuses on monitoring secondary education of pupils in practical schools in the Central Bohemian Region. The main aim of the survey was to find out the possibilities of employment of graduates of practical schools after graduation.
Education of foreigners

The bachelor thesis deals with the teaching of foreigners. It aims to characterize pupils with a different mother tongue, the possibilities of support and a specific methodology of work with these students. The thesis deals with the definition of basic concepts, i.e. the concept of migration, inclusion, and approximation of the issue of foreigners' education. It further clarifies the current view of foreigners in the Czech Republic and non-profit organizations dealing with their support. The main part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of pupils with a different mother tongue, the legislation and the financing of their studies. The next part concerns the inclusion and definition of individual steps of support measures that allow pupils to foreigners, for example, the use of language classes or courses of the Czech language. In practical cases, the bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of the methodology of working with pupils of foreigners and points out possible shortcomings in the current system. Implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders in primary schools

The diploma thesis is focused on providing support to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary primary schools. Its aim is to find out how support is provided to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary elementary schools, what are the potentialities for providing optimal support to these pupils and suggest possible measures and procedures to improve them. The thesis consists of theoretical and research part. The theoretical part characterizes specific behavioral disorders, education and support for pupils with these disorders. The research part of the thesis focuses on the implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders at selected elementary schools. This problem is solved in two levels. The first plane is qualitative, it is a case study of the school (author's workplace). The basis for the preparation of case report are interviews with school special pedagogues and unstructured observations. The second part is aimed at supporting pupils with specific behavioral disorders on a wider scale. Support education for pupils with mental disabilities in primary schools

This diploma thesis is concerned with the issues of educational support within the integration of pupils with mild mental disabilities in common primary schools. The theoretical part is divided into chapters which deal with the definition of mild mental disability and its classification, the description of pupils with mild mental disabilities in school age, the specific needs within the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities, the issue of integration, the valid legislature concerning these pupils and most importantly with the supporting measures which are provided for these pupils. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to find out which supporting measures are provided for pupils with mild mental disabilities in common primary schools and how are these measures put into practice. To gather the required information, the method of a semi-structured interview with selected teachers and the staff of school consulting centers has been used. To further specify the acquired data, the analysis of pupil documentation (mainly individual education plans) has been carried out. The Integration from the perspective of teacher from kindergarten

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out attitude and experience of the teachers from the kindergarten with school integration. The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part define teacher's role, there are described requirements on his personality, professional competencies and liability in accordance with Rámcového vzdělávacího programu pro předškolní vzdělávání (RVP PV). I focused on special needs of the child and on the alternative ways of his education. I mention school counseling institutes and their role in processing pupil support levels during education. In the last chapter I define concepts like integration and inclusion and I deal with legislation related to school integration. Then I present factors which could be disruptive to successful course of integration process and their pros and cons, and I also speak about importance of the teacher during integration. The practical part is focused on determining the attitudes of teachers towards integration and processing their experience with educating a child with disability.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out, how school integration process works by the eyes of the teacher from the kindergarten. The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, there are described and explained topics such as, who is the teacher in the kindergarten, his personality, professional competence and his responsibilities in accordance with RVP PV.
