Search for Duplicities and Quality Evaluvation of Photos
Sklenář, Zdeněk ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about the analysis, design, and implementation and testing of an application, which is used to find duplicates in photographs according to it's Exif metadata. The app can also let you preview the photo, including Exif metadatas. It is possible to filter your photos. You can group duplicates with the original photo, and select the best photos to keep it in accordance with a user-defined parameter, then manually adjust this option, and deleting others. There is also a possibility to export selected photos to a ZIP archive.
Multifilter-based Image Viewer
Hanák, Drahomír ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Kliber, Filip (referee)
The aim of this work is to design and implement a photo viewer program that can save user-defined metadata directly in photo files. That way, metadata will not be lost in case files are renamed or moved. Other goal of this work is to design a query language which can be used to search photos based on both the user defined metadata and existing file metadata. Created program should have a customizable user interface for viewing query results, editing user defined metadata and query editor which has a code-completion (IntelliSense) support. 1

Music Files Metadata Management
Saloň, Marek ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to design and implement application that is able to process metadata of local music library. For this purpose, custom methods were implemented to ease and automate working with large number of files. One of the main means of automation is the use of internet services to obtain relevant information. This work describes the music files and methods of storing metadata, the structure and use of individual services, discusses possible extensions and, last but not least, evaluates the resulting implementation.
Detection of Groups and Duplicities of Photos
Václavík, Vojtěch ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis aims to create an application that allows import of photographs and to sort duplicities. The application simplifies the import by showing already imported photographs and also hiding the not necessary ones. The application can also be used for finding duplicities or comparing folders, helping the user to clean their photo gallery. Other than that, it is also possible to show photographs with similar timestamps. To identify duplicates the application uses EXIF metadata included in photographs. The application was implemented in C++, graphical interface in Qt framework, work with metadata mediates EasyEXIF library and the database communication uses SQLite library.
Extracting Information from Database Modeling Tools
Drobný, Denis ; Parízek, Pavel (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
Data lineage is a way of showing how information flows through complicated software systems. If the given system is a database, tables and columns are visualized along with transformations of the stored data. However, this picture may be difficult to understand for people with weaker technical background, as database objects usually obey naming conventions and do not necessarily represent something tangible. To improve lineage comprehension, we developed a software called Metadata Extractor that on one hand brings the further description of the database objects, as well as introduces a whole new perspective on data in a system through business lineage aimed for non-technical users. The additional metadata enriching data lineage is extracted from data modeling tools, such as ER/Studio and PowerDesigner, that are widely used in the database design process. The solution extends the Manta Flow lineage tool while taking advantage of its features at the same time. 1
Camereless Violence
Laytadze, Lali ; DVOŘÁK, Tomáš (advisor) ; ŠIMŮNEK, Michal (referee)
The code assigned to the subject, entering into interactive environment, is setting and determining its future existence. In the virtual environment, the absence of a numerical description makes a subject untrackable. Only by assigning a unique code does the affair begin to exist for the computing world. After receiving the code, the subject somehow comes to life, becoming recognisable, categorised, searchable - possessing existence. Every environment we are situated in can be perceived as panned and scanned. Cameraless photography, we meet in a moment of our existence, in an artificial space. We are scanning and at the same time we are being scanned. In the process of scanning and taking pictures, what part is the human playing? A person who can be seen as a tool of cameraless photography? Is he following the rules, or creating them? Or, is he himself a tool to the process of cameraless photography? Is he the individual who determines and recognizes the point that is set for the existence and meaning of cameraless photography?
Virtual National Phonoteque
Horová, Iva ; Malinová, Iva ; Allen, Anthony
This year, the National Library of Technology of the Czech Republic became the new administrator of the Virtual National Phonoteque (VNP). This unique database is the aggregator of audio documents stored in Czech institutions. The portal collects metadata across different types of institutions: libraries, archives, museums, commercial publishers, Czech Radio, Czech Television and even private collectors, making them all accessible in one location. Visitors to the portal can use it to locate metadata records for the item of interest, thereafter finding themselves with several options: to visit the owner of the audio to listen to it there or borrow it, to buy it in the publisher’s e-shop, or to view and listen digitised version directly. The portal currently contains about one and a half million metadata records and pools data from 24 suppliers. Thanks to our established collaborations we are now undertaking more projects and working towards taking the next steps. In cooperation with Supraphon we are working on a new service for NLT visitors, who will have exclusive direct access to the Supraphon Digital Archive, allowing them to listen music via headphones and on mobile devices from within our library. Our immediate targets for next two years are to involve and cooperate with more suppliers to enrich the VNP´s content, and to develop a new version of the portal to meet all the criteria of a modern, secure database.

Adding Geographic Coordinates Based on Track Record to Photographs
Mareš, Jiří ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Semerád, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to fill photos metadata with geographic coordinates using a track record obtained from the GPS system. Besides the automated process, users are given the ability to modify or fill the data themselves through a map canvas with the recorded track. The goal is to implement simple user-friendly application for this purpose. The Application was created using the Java programming language and this allows for great multiplatform compatibility.
