Performance Testing of Active Network Devices
Vrtílek, Michal ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
At the present time voice and TV services deploy over IP networks. These services put high requirements on network devices. To find out if an device covers these requirement we need to pass efficiency tests on the device. Hardware and software tools can be used for testing. Tests should match requirements based by RFC 2544. Nowadays there isn't any free available application that should do all tests according to the standard. This work deals with proposal and implementation testing application for active network devices according to standard RFC 2544.

The goal of the thesis is to design and implement performance improvements in python-nitrate module. Performance improvements are based on gathered use cases, which use large amount of data and network bandwidth. Performance test suite was implemented in order to measure impact of changes in module. Testing proved, that python-nitrate module with integrated performance improvements is in certain cases several times faster, but also can be slower in two cases. Discussion regarding possible extensions is present in the conclusion.
Test Result Repository with Web User Interface
Vlasák, Jaroslav ; Letko, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of a client-server application for Red Hat company. Client participates in testing process of JBoss platform and gets user-defined performance data which sends during testing to the server application by platform independent communication. The server application allows to analyze the received data which can be also compared by several perspectives. These services for data analysis and comparison are accessible for server users using the web client. The server application supports the import of the performance data stored in the XML file and also their export for qVue portal. The client part of the application is implemented in Java and the server application is based on Java EE platform.

Performance evaluation of Oldkladruby horses
IGNATOVA, Natalia
Horse breeding has always been favored over the other sectors of animal husbandry. Oldkladruby horse, bred in the Czech Republic for more than 400 years, is one of the oldest breeds of horses. This original breed is included in animal genetic resources. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the results of Oldkladruby horse performance tests. The database was formed by descendants of fathers in breeding process in 1994 - 2014. The work follows the five factors reliability in heavy draught, team of horses maneuverability, marathon, movement, rideability and overall performance. Performance test is an important factor when selecting individuals for breeding, as well as a basis for determining performance of horses. Emphasis was placed on the analysis of monitored indicators and eventually on evaluation of the mechanics of movement, which is very important for Oldkladruby horses. Rudolfo, Roma and Siglavi Pakra strain represented a small number of individuals and their values are regarded as indicative. The largest number of mares which have undergone performance testing, belong to Generalissimus strain in the white color horses and Solo and Sacramoso colored black. Low values of the variation coefficient were found for all groups of mares and show considerable results balance. The results showed that for Oldkladruby mares in the mechanics of movement when comparing color variations, the highest marks reached strain Generalissimo. Due to the small number of stallions in the evaluation, we compared only their color variation. The low coefficient of variation indicates that the performance of stallions reached high level. When comparing the results of mares and stallions, we found that stallions excelled in all disciplines evaluated over mares.
Project Development of Integrated Testing Node
Ženíšek, Jan ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee)
Nowadays the development speed of new software products is a key to success and it is not important whether the aim is to make customer's urges satisfied or get ahead of one's competitors and fill the market gap. Because of the increase of development speed the demands on the saving process of software quality are increasing. There are two types of tools that are supporting the process of software quality assurance. Firstly, we talk about comprehensive testing tools of commercial character that usually include many functions, but their purchase is extremely expensive. On the other hand there are open-source tools that are available for free, they function on many kinds of operating systems and it is possible to modify them. Unfortunately their functions are basically focused on a certain subset of controlling the software quality assurance. Company TRASK solution a.s. has decided to change this current situation, so it asked competence centre Software Quality Assurance at the University of Economics in Prague in order to create Integrated Testing Node (ITN) that would combine the advantages of open-source tools. Moreover, it would offer broad range of functions as commercial solution. The purpose of this thesis is to describe relevant phases of the process of creating the Integrated Testing Node from the factual and methodical point of view. This aim is divided into partial aims included task analysis and the proposal of solving system, open-source products portfolio analysis, choice of the most convenient tools for following integration, choosing the method of information system building, evaluating the feedback from a client and the proposal of future development of this tool. As far as the biggest contribution of this thesis is concerned, it is the realisation of ITN project that can be used during information classes at the University of Economics in Prague. Furthermore, it can be used as the control of software quality in commercial companies.
Ways of defining the requirements for performance testing software
Vodrážka, Michal ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Strharský, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on ways of defining the requirements for performance testing software, both in practice (based on survey) as well as in theory. The aim of this thesis is to analyze ways of defining performance requirements, which are actually used on IT projects. In order to achieve this goal it is necessary to define concepts of performance testing, implement and evaluate the survey of the using ways of defining performance requirements in practice and then analyze ways of defining performance requirements in terms of their applicability to different types of IT projects. The contribution of this thesis is the comprehensive introduction performance testing software issues and mainly insight into ways of defining performance requirements used in practice and problems associated with them, through the survey, which was implemented and evaluated by myself. The conclusions resulting from this survey summarize which ways of defining performance requirements are applied to specific types of IT projects, which of these ways worked and which problems in certain cases that occur in practice. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts associated with performance testing software. In this part, there is also described the methodology of defining performance requirements according to Tom Gilb. The practical part is focused on the realization and evaluation of survey of the using ways of defining performance requirements in practice and on the analysis ways of defining performance requirements with respect to certain types of projects.
