Analysis of very low pollutant concentrations in air and their photocatalytic oxidation
Vaněčková, Eva ; Rathouský, Jiří (advisor) ; Kavan, Ladislav (referee)
For preparation of the mesoporous thin layers of TiO2 of define structure was used a sol-gel method in combination with structure directing surface-active agents. Various properties of the layers, such as size of surface area, thickness, porosity, light absorption ability and their relationschip to photocatalytic activity during NO oxidation, were investigated. A significant influence of these properties to activity of the photocatalyst was proved.
Analysis of trace pollutants in water and their photocatalytic degradation
Štěpánková, Sandra ; Rathouský, Jiří (advisor) ; Nesměrák, Karel (referee)
Mesoporous TiO2 films with variable thickness were prepared by dip-coating. Two kinds of sols were used, sol 1 and sol 2, which were separately tested and compared. The activity of samples of these sols was tested employing photocatalytic degradation of 1.10-4 mol.dm-3 4-chlorphenol. The efficiency of the degradation of 4-chlorphenol was increasing proportionately with each additional layer. The optimum turned out to be three layers.
Air quality in sports buildings
Fabian, Peter ; Horák,, Petr (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The work deals with indoor air quality and ventilation control based on indoor air quality. Based on the analysis of the concentration of CO2, heat and moisture gains can suggest the optimal way to reduce excessive ventilation
The Compliance of Legal Environmental Standards in South Bohemia
JOZÍFKOVÁ, Alena
The aim of the diploma thesis is to assess the compliance of environmental standards in South Bohemia, as well as to evaluate the changes concerning environmental polluters and the condition of South Bohemian environment in last 10 years. The first section is focused on the theoretical attitudes towards environment. General environmental instruments and their practical use in Czech legislation are discussed together with the comparison of the environmental development before and after joining the European Union. Furthermore this section deals with the topic of national and international institutions engaged in the environmental protection. The practical section defines the administrative area of South Bohemia and subsequently analyses the environmental condition in given period of time. Thereafter, the development of the most significant polluters in last 10 years is established with the comparison method. Based on the studies applied, the thesis proposes the way to improve the environmental condition in South Bohemia, discusses the results and follows with the evaluation of the environmental compliance in the examined area.

Photocatalytic Processes for Degradation of Endocrine Disruptors from Wastewater
Spáčilová, Lucie ; Maléterová, Ywetta ; Krejčíková, Simona ; Cajthaml, Tomáš ; Šolcová, Olga
The efficiency of the titania oxide thin layers on the glass beads for degradation of 17- ethynylestradiol and bisphenol A in water solution was studied in the batch disposal and consequently in the continual micro-photo reactor. Experiments were performed regarding to the efficiency of the process and evaluation in the term of toxicity of reaction products.

Regular variations of air pollution on selected stations during 2003-2006
Střeštík, Jaroslav
In the last decades many effort has been devoted to the investigation of the influence of different meteorological parameters on the morbidity, mortality and other effects in the biosphere. The air pollution has been taken into account in less extent. In this paper we attempt to give a review, which observed data concerning the air pollution are available and which regularities can be met.
Electrochemical biosensors for DNA damaging substances. The possibilities of pollutant detection
Fojta, Miroslav ; Havran, Luděk ; Kuchaříková, Kateřina ; Paleček, Emil
Electrochemical methods provide information about DNA damage and its interactions with various substances, including carcinogens or drugs. Using electrochemical DNA biosensors, it is possible to detect these substances in the environment, in biological samples, etc.
