Vojtová, Irena ; Sátora, Josef (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is living in the old Brno. Unusual triangular plot is limited by a busy street and quiet area of St. Ann street. The area is also sloped in two planes. In the West-East rises along the street while in the north-east axis decreases towards the Ann Street. The surrounding area is diverse. While Street is lined to 6-storey buildings, St. Ann Street has 3 storey terraced houses. Lucrative plot in the historic environment and direct link to the center were equally important aspects that influenced the proposal.
Renewal of Old Brno District
Sopoušková, Petra ; Matoušková, Petra (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with the development of the Old Brno District . Old Brno District is currently marked by waiting for the implementation of the land use plan, which should solve the problem of traffic. The implementation, however, will probably take a few decades. I propose to use the period of time before the change of traffic routes and begin a gradual development that will prefigure target form of the district. Well-designed architecture and urbanism is not the only condition for well-functioning city. Therefore, I propose a process which should lead to the target form, but to create social, economic, ecological and aesthetic values independently of it. For this purpose vacant spaces and temporary structures are used.

Multipurpose Town House on Křížová Street, Brno
Bohumel, Martin ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
Mixed-use house at Křížová Street The project of mixed-use house located in the district of Old Brno is based on its location and its specific plot, situated between two street corners, at the end of the future pedestrian-only street, in direct contact with busy Mendel square. The house as a whole is enclosing eastern side of the street and with two breaks of the façade reacts to the gentle curve of the street on the other side. At the same time, these breaks of the façade acts as dividing elements, which help to create more subtle feeling of the otherwise long building. One of these breaks continues all the way through the house to the back and creates a cut, which allows a view to the inner courtyard, where a historical brick chimney is situated. This visual connection is at the same time also a metaphorical connection to the history of the location. The cut also serves as a main access for the residential areas in the upper floors and gives the inhabitants the opportunity to enter their homes through a dignified and representative space. Functionally, the house is divided into commercial spaces on the ground level, residential upper floors and parking in the basement.

The plot is located in Old Brno, in places with rich history, work continues on the analysis from previous semesters. The site has a particularly strong character, supported by well-preserved courtyards with galleries. This arrangement is now a feature space. Closed courts - or semi-private, where they can (to some extent) - the function of housing mixed with other municipal activities and promote the vitality of the house. This work also builds on the solution Mendel Square from previous semester and support the approach taken to assist the courts, courtyards and courtyard for a given location. The block in which the plot is (blank space) is due to the planned puncture Ypsilantiho significant changes will come primarily throughout the eastern part. Together with our Western or 2 vacant lot will be completely free of the block. There is therefore a greater possibility of intervention, links, thinking about this task as a whole. The inspiration for the character building and way of life for a given site, I propose the installation of smaller flats, starter, student, housing for individuals. These apartments will offer common areas, places where people meet. I choose residence as a gallery space houses .... the courts to extend the vertical direction. I propose a system of yards through the entire block, the courts are connected to a central semi-public communication, which is rarely allowed to enter cars. Courts alternate, semi-public courts are the place to galleries and access to the apartment, the living room. Other courts are "green" - private - where there is access only to residents. The courts are quiet-oriented sleeping porches on the kitchen window, so that has galleries with natural living space.

Written inheritance of Elizabeth Richenza and her illumination workshop
VELICKÁ, Olga
Among the works of older Czech literature, we can find not only the texts with entertaining character, but also the philosophical, theological, educational, legal and liturgical texts. In this work, I will occupy myself with the liturgical texts, namely with the form of the collection of manuscripts from Staré Brno. The primary aim of my bachelor{\crq}s work "Written Inheritance of Elizabeth Richenza and her Illumination Workshop" is to introduce readers to the origination and form of all nine extant manuscripts from Staré Brno, to set these manuscripts into the painting context of the 14th century and to evaluate the cultural and aesthetical exceptionality of this important work of art. Where we do not know the exact date of origination of the individual manuscripts, I try to determine it. In addition, I also focus on the building development of the Cistercian Cloister Aula Sanctae Mariae in Staré Brno and on the person of founder of this cloister, Queen Elizabeth Richenza. The work is limited by the years 1288 and 1335.
