Tureček, Josef ; Havlíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Fialová, Dana (referee)
Urban cycle routes: the example of the Prague cycle route Zbraslav-centrum Abstract Cycling is an environmentally friendly form of transport that offers many benefits, especially in urban areas. Compared to other Central European cities, cycling is relatively underused in Prague. This is mainly due to the existence of various barriers and also to the negative mixing of cycling with other forms of transport. The aim of this paper is to highlight the current state of Prague's cycle routes in general with a more detailed description of the defined section of the A2 Vltavská cycle route. By comparing it with the cycle routes in Bern and Krakow, its shortcomings and potential opportunities for its development and Prague's cycling in general are indicated. Furthermore, the thesis provides new information, gathered during interviews with experts on Prague cycle transport, providing a more detailed analysis of the shortcomings of A2 Vltavská and its current use by young people. The thesis could thus contribute to the discussion on better use of cycling in Prague and could serve as a source of information and inspiration for others. Keywords Cycle transport; cycle routes; Prague cycle route A2; Prague.

Tureček, Josef ; Havlíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Fialová, Dana (referee)
Image of city cycle paths: an example of the Prague cycle route Zbraslav-centrum Abstract This study aims to contribute to a discussion on the role of cycle paths in shaping the image of the Prague city. It compares well-established cycle paths in foreign agglomerations with a model cycle path in Prague. Bicycle paths present a phenomenon both in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic, the use of which has an increasing tendency and has a potential to positively shape the image of cities. Some Prague cycle paths are developed well and some insufficiently. We also identify the positive impact of cycle paths on urban infrastructure. In the theoretical part, the work deals with a search of adequate literature and also with experience with thematically similar studies abroad. In the practical part, the presented bachelor's thesis analyzes a contribution of the A2 cycle path to building a better image of the city. We believe that this study will help draw attention to yet underestimated part of the transport infrastructure and will bring an inspiration for planning and further development of Prague. Keywords Image; cycle paths; Prague cycle path A2; Prague.

The problematics of art in public space during the period of normalization on the example of the Prague metro This thesis deals with the problematics of art in public space during the period of normalization on the example of the Prague metro. The premises of metro required formal restrictions on the artworks that were intended to embellish it. For security reasons the artworks were not allowed to be on the platforms, nor in the central access tunnel, and could appear only in the vestibules and public passages or on street level at the exits from stations. On the one hand Prague metro had a clearly political component, emphasizing the friendly relationships with the Soviet Union and the key importance of the involvement of Soviet experts for the existence of modern transport systems in Prague. On the other hand, the same project made it possible to involve artists whose independent work was rejected by the regime. At the beginning of the text, I summarize the history of the Prague metro and the phenomenon of underground transport as such, followed by a section devoted to the influence of the Moscow metro on the Prague environment. The main portion of the thesis is dedicated to the art general, circumstances of the origin of artworks, assessment, financing, and realization of works of art in the...
