Optimization of economically oriented literacy in secondary professional education in Czech republic

The goal of the tesis is to valorize actual situation of formation of economic literacy in secondary professional educatioin in Czech republic and to submit optimization proposals. The goal was reached by research of printed and electronic sources, which revealed, that actual focus in formation of economic literacy is on financial literacy, which is one part of economic literacy as such. That is why thesis elaborates proposals for extention of present situation by additional topics.
The financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The basis is the research made by the author of the diploma thesis. The main objective is to analyze the real situation of the financial comprehension by Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic, and highlight their mistakes in the complex world of finance. This thesis also points out some problems and complications, which have resulted from lack information about financial products. It will also try to suggest a method of how to increase financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants. The diploma thesis is composed in three chapters. The first one gives some information about Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The second part presents the results from research, and the last chapter deals with a financial institution that wants to focus on Vietnamese clients in the Czech Republic.
Financial literacy in teaching economic subjects at secondary schools – processing didactic curriculum

The thesis deals with the level of financial literacy of secondary school students. At the beginning of the thesis I mainly focused on general issues regarding financial literacy, I explained the essence and justified the need for financial education. I describe current development and practices in the implementation of financial literacy in schools. I devote considerable attention to analysis of pedagogical documentation. My focus is not only theoretical but also practical comparing of financial literacy levels two fields of study from one of the same secondary school educational process and I suggest didactic processing the chosen topic. In conclusion I evaluated the problems of financial literacy.
Financial Literacy and its Support for the Mostecko

This thesis aims to capture the notion of "Financial iliteracy" as a phenomenon of the present in the context of the Czech Republic, or of the region with the highest unemployment and specific problems - the Most region. The introductory part defines basic concepts connected with financial iliteracy, its education support in the Czech Republic and the measurement possibilities. The next part concentrates on the Most region, on the concrete examples of financial iliteracy support on this location and it is followed by a survey. The conclusion will look at the evaluation of results gained by the survey and recommendations for financial iliteracy support optimization.
Fraud prevention in the system of payments

The work deals with fraud perpetrated on non-cash payments. There is characterized the most common forms of non-cash payment fraud. It deals with the prevention of fraud in three main areas: financial literacy and education, law and institutions. It is a comparison of the effectiveness of these areas of prevention of fraud perpetrated on the territory of the Czech Republic and the EU for a certain period. There is also explained exactly how to prevent fraud.
Specifities consumer protection in insurance

This work deal with a consumer protection in insurance in conditions of the Czech Republic. It specifies an insurance service and reasons leading to necessity of clients of insurance companies protection. The central theme of the work is delimitation of instruments serving to consumer protection in insurance. It treats of legislative acts, Czech National Bank as a supervisory authority in insurance, consumer associations, codes of ethics, financial education of consumers and institute of insurance arbiter or ombudsman, which is not still established in the Czech Republic. A proposal of European Commision to Insurance Guarantee Schemes is mentioned too. The work deal with an insurance terms as well, its transparency for clients of insurance companies and necessity to read it before signing a contract of insurance. In conclusion of the work the most important deficiencies of the particular instruments and the recommendations for improvement of situation are presented.

Bachelor work describes pivotal documents approved by government, that are instrumental like platform to raising level of financial literacy and it is in the Czech republic. The work analyses current financial knowledge between Czech people based on two approaches -- on objective test and on subjective evaluation. The work also deals with analysis of financial literacy of students on basic schools and it evaluates available literature from area of financial education.

The Financial Literacy for Secondary Education

The thesis deals with financial literacy in secondary education and its possible improvement. Author describes the administrative way from planning to commissioning of requirements for students to practice. It is also mentioned the importance of financial education for society and individuals. The thesis mentions the basic documents on the issue and the role of relevant ministries and the banking sector. There is also solved support for teachers who teach financial literacy in secondary schools. The practical part of the thesis observed research of financial literacy at the secondary school, its organization and results. The findings are compared with the findings of quantitative research conducted for the Ministry of Finance in 2007. The aim is to determine whether students who learnt basic elements of financial literacy, have higher skills and are able to focus better on financial market than respondents in 2007. The conclusion of the thesis contains instructions and advices to do the learning process more effective.
