The Motivation of Employees in High-tech Company

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the values of the selected group of employees in high-tech company. The other partial aims were to analyze motivation preferences of employees and also analyze employee’s attitude towards the company. The analysis was based on two question-forms, Hofsteda VSM 94 and question-form asking about motivation preferences. I have found out from these analyses that the environment is quite stressful, employees are big individualists and long-term orientation is dominating there. The most valuable benefits for employees are: paid holiday, education and health care contribution. The work, this selected group was doing was rated as well paid and their work satisfies them. As a suggestion it could be recommended to offer more days of holiday, education contribution and expansion of team cooperation on their work place. This could help to the company to achieve increased efficiency of employee’s performance

This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is describing theoretical information about remuneration systems. In the second part we analyse the current state of remuneration systems and external and internal influences that effect said systems. Last part will summarize our recommendations toward enhancing the current state of compensation systems.

In my bachelor thesis I will analyse and evaluate work efficiency in the language school LinguaPlus, s.r.o. with the help of statistical methods. I will elaborate a model which would inform the company about its future activities development either under the same conditions, or after changing some characteristics. This model will be helpful for the company, will explain ineffective steps in the past, and precautions for the future.

The first part provides a theoretical basis related to motivation, stimulating and remuneration of employees. In the practical part I analysed the current situation of the chosen company. Based on detected results I identified key problem areas and I made a proposal for improving of existing incentive system.

The aim of this master thesis is to describe and analyze motivation and remuneration process in the spin-off enterprise of Siemens, based in Mohelnice. The theoretical part includes the definitions of basic terms in this field. The practical part deals with the company mentioned above and the analysis of its motivation and remuneration process. The output of this thesis lies in the findings of examination how the current motivational tools of the company work and how much the employees are satisfied with it. I provide the list of suggestions for improvement of the process with aim to increase the employees’ satisfaction in the conclusion.
