Extendable Information System of SDC with a Multi-Tier Architecture

This master's thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of an information system that allows easy extensibility with three-tier architecture. System is developed using object oriented approach by programming language PHP, relational database server MySQL and web services and protocol SOAP. The View tier is implemented by web technologies XHTML and CSS. Analysis and design of this system is done with using the modeling language UML. In this thesis is described the problem of multi-tier software architecture, theory of development information's systems and described design and implementation of an information system with a three-tier architecture and it's application in the society SDC.

Package of modules for development with PHP is project aimed on simplification and efficiency of programmer's work when developing web based applications in scripting language PHP. This project is continuation of PHP Modular Object framework and wants to extend its connectivity to new modules. Next goal is implementation of modules which allow programmers to use the development system.

Refactoring of Object Orientated Application

This document is the masters thesis called refactoring of object oriented application. Goal of this document was to introduce the problem of refactoring and apply gained knowledge on real software project. Document is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, the term refactoring is defined there with a brief history. Next chapter explains basic principles of refactoring, advantages and disadvantages of using refactoring. The third chapter is called catalog of refactorings and describes common patterns of refactoring. Next two chapters describe .NET platform and tools, which support refactoring on this platform. Sixth chapter is about real application of refactoring. Final chapter is conclusion and summary.

Modeling thermal circuits using object methods

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is creating programmer’s library in some object oriented programming language which should help calculating of thermodynamic schemas. The first part of the bachelor’s thesis is a short summary of the options of computing simplification of thermodynamic schemas using computer technology. The second part is focused on finding proper mathematical models of particular components of schemas. The next part brings forward a design of the system, separation of the library to particular sections, the design of helper classes and classes of each component. The fourth part considers choosing suitable programming language. Next step is the implementation of library, the solution of the problems linked with implementation in PHP version 5.2.x. Finally, some cases of using this library are presented, and future prospective progress of the library and linked software is adumbrated.

Methods for multialignment of nucleotide sequences

To be able to understand characteristics and purpose of biological sequences correctly, it is crucial to have a possibility to sort and compare them. Because of this need and to extend existing knowledge pool, numerous methods were proposed. Especially in field of multiple sequences alignment. Methods for multiple sequences alignment may provide various valuable information about sequences which failed to show enough similarity in pairwise alignment. According to this, several algorithms were implemented in various computer applications which provide a way to analyse huge sets of data. One of those, the progressive alignment algorithm, is implemented as a part of this thesis

Database of acoustic records

The databsae of accoustical recordings is a web-based application, which is accessible with an usual web browser. There were used technologies, that are ussually used in web applications. This ensures, that the application is open for using by wide range of users. The application enables uploading WAWE files to the server and allows the user to add various description of the recordings. The application allows also comparing the quality of recordings, which were processed with some method for highlighting the accoustical signal from noise. This function is established by listening tests, which are open for every user, who wants to join the tests.

Usage of UML models at design an order system

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is the most-used graphic specification. It shows not only application structure, behavior, and architecture, but also business process and data structure. UML also provides unification of every step of development and integration from business modeling, through architectural and application modeling, to development, deployment, maintenance, and evolution. The target of this thesis is the description of UML and its usage in software development process. UML helps to inscribe the process, the software application and make the communication in development group easier. The big advantage of UML is the opportunity of using computer-aided software engineering for generating source code from UML models. It saves a lot of work with manual typing code, making documentation and deploying the application.

Projects for teaching programming in Java

This thesis deals with the tuition of programming in object oriented programming language Java. It contains source codes with comments which explain the basics of programming. Further on this thesis contains the assigments of several partial projets used for practising the described problem.
