Marie Kokešova Šechtlova, the feminine element in four generations of photographic studio Šechtl and Voseček in Tabor This thesis examines photographic work of Marie Šechtlova, who had been one of the significant Czech female artists from 1960's onwards. In the beginning of this thesis, the history of Šechtl and Voseček studio is outlined. Marie Šechtlova got into this environment through marrying Šechtl. The environment had been influential for her. The following part of my thesis studies the cooperation of Marie Šechtlova and her husband, finding this phase to have been an important moment of her artistic work. In the main body of this thesis, two major aspects of Šechtlova's work are examined. The photographer is portrayed as using the Brussels style of photography, which captures the poetry of mundane. Further on, she is also portrayed as a pioneer of colour photographer and an illustrator of literary work, especially poetry. Jan Noha's extraordinary verses were inspired by Šechtlova's photography. In return, she was illustrating his poetry collections and their collaboration had been outstandingly creative. The final part of this thesis compares Šechtlova's work with the work of other Czech female photographers of her time, such as Dagmar Hochova, Emily Medkova, Eva Fukova or Běla Kolařova, who were working mostly in the environment of Prague.
Using photography in promotion in tourism

Main goal of this document is to rate photographs in promotional materials of the tourism regions of the Czech republic. Other goal of this document is to show if graphical form of promotional materials influences decision making of visitors of any particular region.The theoretical part describes short history of photography, promotion and tourism in the Czech Republic. The practical part consist of researching photographs in selected promotional materials of the tourism regions according to picked criteria. The second practical part is focused on testing of influence of photographs on participants of tourism.
The Depiction of Fallacies in Photography

This paper provides an overview of art production where the presence of a fallacy plays a key role. Here, the term fallacy represents a wide range of illusory constructions regardless of the medium used, with the exception of digitally manipulated work. The main attention is focused on the those kinds of manifestations present in the medium of photography. Classifying each method according to the nature of the illusion, allows me to identify the characteristic features of each particular category, and what is it's impact on the viewer. Manipulation of our perception is achieved by various technical means. Readers of this paper will be offered an explanation of what fallacies are, how they occur, and what part they might play in the wider context of the artistic expression.

This work analyzes the development of settlement in Krems basin and it is mainly focused on the period of medieval colonization and on early modern period. The description of the development of settlement in explored district is based on written documents, geographical data, toponymy and it is especially based on archeological sources. This work is the synthesis of researches which were made by South-Bohemian Museum in České Budějovice, Regional Museum in Český Krumlov and surface collection of J. Polách. Appendices: Maps,catalogue, layout and photographical documentation of immovable archeological monuments, drawings and photography of finds, etc.

Increasing speed Internet access, technical progress in digital photography and globalization opened up a new business market with stock photography. The aim is to analyze this market from the photographer's point of view and describe his marketing opportunities. The first chapter analyzes the microstock photography market. The second chapter describes the photographer's marketing mix and marketing planning. The third part evaluates microstock customer behavior and requirements based on quantitative market research of the selected target group. The last part is dictionary to familiarize with the terminology used in microstock photography business.

Photography in the art education on primary school

The work deals with the inclusion of photographs in tutorial project for elementary school. The theoretical part consists of detailed information and knowledge from the history and philosophy of photography, which determine the attitudes of the photograph itself. This information is required for a proper approach to creating a tutorial project. The practical part contains a specific form of educational project "Photography, and We? for pupils in fifth class at elementary school. The educational project is based on the Frame Educational Program for Elementary Schools, in the area of Arts and Culture in the educational field of Art Education. Project "Photographs and We" consists of seven teaching units. The project itself also shows some recommendations for educational practice.
The Problem of Aesthetic Sign in the Surrealist Photography

Work will deal with images of Surrealism in terms of sign. It will also outline the historical development, principles, and aesthetic principles of Surrealism in relation to photography. Further, work will explain the photographic technique invented by surrealism. With these techniques there is ?spacing? and the specific options to look at reality through the sign of photos. This is referred to the uniqueness of Surrealist photography not only across but also the creation of surreal photographic images in general.

The given text, a part of more extensive work on the theme Czech and Slovak Students at the Bauhaus, was devoted a several women – artists from former Czechoslovakia. The women studied architecture, textile design and photography at the Bauhaus in 1919 to 1933 and they came from Czech, Slovak, German and German-Jewish background of the Czech Republic. Any art-historical work has not engaged in this theme yet. A lot of information go on extensive research into Czech and foreign archives.
