Hotel Špindlerův Mlýn
Boulaouad, Hichem ; Picmaus, Petr (referee) ; Brukner, Bohuslav (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the project documentation developed at the construction stage for a new hotel with restaurant and wellness. The hotel is located in Špindlerův Mlýn and is designed as a stand-alone hotel. The hotel has two floors above ground, an attic and a basement. The floor plan of the hotel is designed in the shape of a cross with a penetrating rectangular annex over the basement and the first above-ground floor. The outbuilding is covered with a flat vegetated roof, and the main, highest mass is covered with a saddle-shaped and semi-hip-shaped sloping roof with a 40° slope of the roof plane. The layout of the hotel includes a collective garage and a wellness area in the basement, while the first floor has a restaurant, a congress room and an accommodation area with nine hotel rooms, two of which are wheelchair accessible. On the second floor above ground level and the attic there is only an accommodation area with two gyms, each of these two floors has nineteen hotel rooms. In total, the hotel offers accommodation for seventy-five people. Structurally, it is a building based on a foundation slab, the load-bearing vertical structures are a combination of reinforced concrete and masonry ground hollow bricks, the ceiling structures are made of reinforced concrete ceilings and the roof structure is made of a wooden purlin truss. The entire object is insulated with an insulation system.
Pension Přehrada
Svobodová, Monika ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The topic of master project was the processing the design documentation for a Pension Přehrada. I designed a pension with a restaurant and a small wellness area. It is a detached building in the cadastral territory of Brno Kníničky. The building is L-shaped and consists of two parts. The first part has two above-ground floors and a loft. This part of the building is covered by a gable green roof. The second part of the building has one above-ground floor and warm flat roof. The vertical structures are designed from ceramic blocks. The external masonry is insulated with the ETICS. Some external masonary are designed like exterior ventilated facade with stone cladding and a green facade. Floor structures are designed by SPIROLL panels. The master project includes the concept of heating, ventilation, cooling, domestic hot water heating, lighting, rainwater management and photovoltaic panel design. In the part of my project, I focused on optimizing the design of the gable roof. I changed the composition of the gable roof so that more rainwater would be retained to be used in the facility. I placed additional photovoltaic panels on the gable roof and simulate whether they would cover the electricity consumption in the building. I evaluated the changes in the energy performance certificate, and compared them with the original design.

Fric, Marek ; Kolářová, Eva (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The content of my master´s project is a design of an NZEB building of a restaurant. The building is located in Brno near Nová Zbrojovka and the Svitava river. The design was carried out with Revit and with a partial implementation of BIM. The master´s project consists of three main parts. The first part focuses on the structural design of the building, the second part is focused on the design of building services and the third part consists of introducing the possibilities of advanced application of BIM in the design of the buildings. The building is V-shaped with a flat green roof and has two floors. The load-bearing system combines masonry walls, reinforced concrete walls, and columns. The floor slabs are also made of reinforced concrete. The partitions are made of plasterboard and masonry. The foundation of the building is formed by a reinforced concrete ground slab. For the insulation was chosen combination of ETICS and ventilated facade. The heating, cooling and air conditioning are provided by an HVAC systém and heat pumps. As a source of hot domestic water was designed electric boiler and heat pumps. The main source of electric energy is provided by a distribution network but partial independence of the building on the distribution network is ensured by photovoltaic panels. The sewer system is made of a combination of gravity sanitary sewer and a vacuum stormwater system. A source of drinking water is the water supply system.
