Consumer education in primary schools

This work is aimed at finding resources which are used for consumer education of pupils in primary school. Financial education is one of the most important elements in the field of consumer protection. Financial education leads to strengthening financial literacy of the consumer and the consumer becomes a subject of financial market who knows his duties and consumer rights. The practical part is focused on consumer education and financial literacy in primary schools in the South Bohemian Region. It also determines whether financial literacy is taught in primary schools in the South Bohemian Region, what materials there are for this subject or how the teachers are trained for this form of education. The data for the practical part were obtained via questionnaires. One questionnaire is focused on finding lessons of financial literacy and circulated by e-mails. The second questionnaire is focused on financial literacy of students and is dealt personally. Based on the research it was qualified and recommended to establish a financial club and a day of finance.

Possible ways of improving financial literacy of citizens by the non-profit sector

The title of my thesis is "The potential of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens". The goal of my thesis is to analyze and evaluate the activity of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens. It is also focusing on the relation between the government, the for-profit and the non-profit sector in the field of financial literacy. I divided my thesis into six chapters. In the first chapter I defined the research problem, set the goals of my thesis and defined the research questions. In the second chapter I focused on the methodology and the definition of my information resources. For the purpose of this thesis I chose the semi-standardized interview, the analysis of participants and the analysis of documents. In the second part of this chapter I made the review of the information resources which I used for this thesis. My thesis is based on the theory of "the triangle" of the market, the government and the civil society, the concept of the social accounting and the benefits and failures of the non-profit sector. Financial education as a prevention against over-indebtedness of Czech households

The diploma work 'Financial education as prevention against over-indebtedness of Czech households' deals with the issue of constantly rising over-indebtedness. In the Czech Republic the number of people who find themselves in financial shortcoming due to over- indebtedness has recently raised. When we compare the Czech Republic with the advanced countries in the European Union, we find out the over-indebtedness is not so high. What is, however, alarming is its dynamics in the recent years. These figures are confirmed with statistic data. The phenomenon of consumer loans started to develop in the late 1990's when the first negative consequences, i.e. social and psychological impact, and distraints, which had not been known so far, appeared for the first time. Mortgages are seen as relatively healthy form of debt because their reimbursement is not as problematic as it is with the consumer loans. Investment into living is considered as long-lasting. There are several possibilities how to cope with debts. Analysis of Financial Literacy in Czech Republic

The subject of this diploma thesis is financial literacy in Czech Republic. The main interest is the government concept explaining National Strategy on financial education and Financial Education System for elementary schools and high schools. The thesis also deals with consumer protection as it is integral part of financial literacy. Activities of Supranational organizations like European Union and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development are presented enhancing their impact on steps taken by Czech government. Eventually analysis of own measuring financial literacy is performed bringing evaluated and compared results. Based on those recommendation are proposed.
Financial Literacy and Possibilities of Its Increasing

This bachelor thesis in the field of finances specifically deals with the issue of financial literacy and its teaching. The focus is primarily on the situation in the Czech Republic. The main goal is to determine the current situation in education at Czech elementary schools, and to compare selected projects aimed at increasing the level of pupils´ financial literacy. The work is subdivided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is to explain basic concepts and terms and their outline, and to provide a summary of the issues. It also includes an analysis of the selected educational projects in the field. The practical part contains an outline and results of a survey conducted among elementary school pupils.
Strategy of financial education in the Czech Republic and its implementation

This bachelor thesis describes financial literacy in the Czech Republic. The thesis should provide to readers comprehensive summary about level of financial education in the Czech Republic and should illustrate importance of this education for the whole society. Big part of this work is devoted to the most important documents approved by the Czech government which are intended to improve level of financial literacy of Czech citizens. These documents also exactly determine the term of financial literacy. Further the work deals with completed researches in this area and the content is enriched by own research focused on financial literacy development of secondary school pupils. One of the main goals of the thesis is to find available possibilities of financial education both for schools and for adults. Additionally the thesis presents survey of publications and other study materials available to this topic on the Czech market.

Brno: Mendel University, 2014 This bachelor thesis aims at providing an analysis of projects and activities promoting financial literacy in the Czech Republic. As a first approach, this paper deals with a general introduction to the topic of financial education and the characteristics of organizations which are involved in this field. It is based on criteria which help making comparison between the activities developed in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Belgium in favour of financial literacy. As for a conclusion, the last part of this document evaluates the level of awareness of financial education in both studied countries and is followed by recommendations.

This bachelor thesis deals with the indebtedness of Czech households and the level of financial literacy of the Czech population. The theoretical part describes the de-velopment, structure, negative impacts of the indebtedness and, in particular, the main economic factors affecting loans to households. Further work identified rela-tionship between indebtedness and financial literacy and described steps taken to increase financial literacy through financial education. The core of the work is the analysis of the impact of selected factors on household indebtedness. Based on re-sults is predicted future development of the indebtedness of Czech households and also are designed recommendations to increase the financial literacy of Czech households.

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of financial literacy among the Czech Republic population and the financial education. The thesis compares different financial literacy surveys carried out by third subjects and identifies the means of financing its support. As a practical part of this thesis, the survey of financial literacy among high school third and fourth year students and expert interviews with qualified teachers have been conducted. On the basis of the obtained research results, recommendations on increasing target group's financial literacy are suggested.
