Collecting Grey Literature – Institutional Repository versus National Aggregator
Černohlávková, Petra ; Vyčítalová, Hana
The Czech National Library of Technology (NTK) provides two digital repositories – the National Repository of Grey Literature (NRGL) and the NTK Institutional Digital Repository (IDR). NRGL’s primary is providing access to grey literature as well as long-term archiving and preservation of grey literature from various institutions in the Czech Republic. The IDR was created for collecting and archiving of employee-generated content and other documents, including grey literature, connected with the library and its services. Our poster highlights the differences between collecting grey literature at the institutional level (through the institutional repository) and at the national level. What commonalities and differences do they have? What problems do they solve? Differences include not only overall conceptions and document types, but also methods for collecting, legal issues and standards as well as functionality and options. Thanks to our experiences in managing both types of repositories, we define general differences, obstacles, and development possibilities. Information presented here, including a mode for cooperating at the institutional or national level, is useful for all institutions planning to start collecting (not only) grey literature at the institutional or the national level even at cooperating institutional model/level

Grey abART
Hůla, Jiří
The Archive of Fine Arts collects, processes, and provides a large collection of documents pertaining mainly to Czech and Slovak art of the 20th and 21st centuries. We distinguish 200 various types of documents; some of them belong to the category of “grey literature” (e.g., press releases, theses, bibliographies, exhibition catalogues, and annual reports). In our paper, we introduce our collection of grey literature and its processing and archiving in the abART Information System, provided by The Archive of Fine Arts since 1993. We’ll focus on grey literature, searching in the abART system, records linking with all other related information, and availability of documents.

Digital repositories at universities in the Czech Republic
Zlatohlávková, Růžena ; Bratková, Eva (advisor) ; Římanová, Radka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to present, analyse, compare and evaluate the current state of digital repositories at universities in the Czech Republic that use a software application for their digital repository. A theoretical part, which introduces the reader into the issue of compilation and operating of digital repositories in the Czech academic context, precedes the practical reserach. The crucial chapter of the practical part are the results of the actual analysis. The results of a supplementary survey of universities that do not run a digital repository with usage of software application and choose a different way of storage and access to their grey literature draw on the results of this analysis. The conclusion of the entire thesis is the outline of future development of the investigated issue and the perspective of further progress of the Czech academic milieu.

Římanová, Jana ; Stöcklová, Anna (advisor) ; Souček, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of innovation in the library of the Institute of Thermodynamics. Default section contains in the decomposition structure of the library system the analysis of current situation. In particular, the degree of automation of library processes and access to funds, including gray literature is observed. Other source material is a survey of information needs of employees of the institute. The key result of the survey was the detection of insufficient composition of the titles of periodicals in the library. A proposal of automation of implementations of library information system follows. A separate part is the proposal of efficient storage and access to research reports. In conclusion, there are outlined possibilities for further development.
