Selected educational aspects of human resources management
PRENER, Zdeněk
The thesis describes and evaluates selected eduacational aspects of human resources management. It introduces some recent conceptions of specialization and evolution from personnel administration through personnel management to human resources management as the unity of emloyee development and utilization of their potential to achieve organization`s objectives according to their needs. It outlines the structure of human resources management (recruitment, performance management, evaluation {\dots}) and compares the aplication of principles of specialization in the work of a human resources manager and a line manager. Subsequently, several determinants of educational processes within human resource management are pointed out in connection with human factors (personality, health, human relations) and job performance (work, free time, work environment). Furthermore, educational dimension of human resources management is evaluated. In the final part Possible prognosis and future expectations are included. Namely, the worth of information for functioning of organizations and comparing the modern roles of technology with the role of humanity in the modern world.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the most important human resources activities in a specific small company, then compare the results with theoretical knowledge and suggest possible improvements or changes. The most important human resources activities are personnel planning, analysis of jobs, recruitment, employee adaptation, evaluation, motivation, education and development. Information used in the practical part were obtained from interviews with managers and internal documents provided.
Covering HR solutions in small and mid-size companies

This diploma thesis covering HR solutions in small and mid-size companies, involving generic characteristics of human resource coordination and its development. In focus to software possibilities covering this topic, including SW assessment base on gathered informations about small and mid-size companies and their management processes. My study is composed into six major parts (introduction to the topic, current trends, description and presentation of researched sector, contemporary software implementations and abilities, analysis of highlighted application, case study). In the Chapter II, beginning of HR and its development as stand alone branch of economy science is explained, and pointed to it's current state. Next chapter features the whole scale of HR in relation to this research. The core of this research is covered in fourth, fifth and sixth chapter, where the assessment of HRIS is made according to demonstration company specifics. Final choice is based on analysis of gathered specifications of each HRIS, according to requirements stated by each company.
Comparison of two information systems with the accent on the branch of human resources management for small and medium enterprises

This diploma thesis is focusing on comparison of two information systems with the accent on the branch of human resources management for small and medium enterprises. This thesis has many goals: (1) to compare two human resources information systems for small and medium enterprises; (2) to find out and analyze the trends of human resources information systems; (3) to make a detailed list of functions of the human resources information system, choose the functions which are above standard, and confront them with the trends; (4) to solve the need of a new information system in a small company as a case study. The goals are accomplished by means of communication with practice (preferably with HR analytics, HR managers and information systems suppliers). The detailed function structure is used as a comparison tool, and both information systems are confronted with it. The trends were found out by using researches and interviews with the HR analytics. Application of the information system for small company is the author's job content. The small company is using the information system in spite of the fact that it is not complete. Among the added values of this thesis we can state connection of the author's primary and secondary specialization (Information systems and technologies, Human resources management), application of knowledge into business practice, and confrontation of the trends with the opinions of the HR managers.
Motivation of employees to performance and their stabilization in the organization

This bachelor thesis is concerned with sphere of human resources management, concretely it is focusing on employee motivation and staff stabilization in an organization providing fast food. Theory describes the two mentioned notions. Further it explains individual motivation conceptions, work motivation, undesirable motivation, motivation system in a company and work contentment. The practical part presents situation of the real organization occurring on the czech labour market. Within the investigated case of the real firm the motivation system of the company, the methods of job evaluation and the system of norms are analysed. The proposal for improvement in researched areas is presented on the basis of the results of the evaluation. The mentioned recommendation can be applied in companies operating in the same area.

Thesis "Procedural and financial aspects of human resources management in public administration, evaluation for selected cities", it focuses on personnel management activities in public administration. The thesis based on general procedures which are generally aplied to the private sector, it builds on the personnel management practices that are specially adapted to legislation for public administration and describes their practical application in the city of Nymburk and in the city of discrict Prague 7. Finally the present thesis assessts the above mentioned human resources management practices in public administration and formulates proposals for improvement.
How to recruite and retain quality workers in the ICT business

The thesis is focused on describing the procedures through which organizations can acquire and retain high-quality long-term workers in the ICT sector. Most of the described procedures can be easily transfered to other industries. Brand new approaches that can be applied in the process of recruitment, are discussed as well, specifically, the possibility of using online social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. Outsourcing is another, fairly new option of acquiring employees. An example of such a service is oDesk. The following part of the work describes the processes that are used in recruitment and retaining the skilled employees in the Unicorn company, which is the major producer of software in the Czech Republic. Despite Unicorn`s long-term achievements and experience in implementing the various human resources management and other related activities in order to acquire and maintain high-quality employees, the author was able to formulate specific proposals and recommendations that may contribute to their further improvement and streamlining. These recommendations are subject to the final part of the thesis.
