Doors and Door Handle Localization for PR2
Bambušek, Daniel ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and create module for robotic platform PR2, that is able to autonomously locate doors and door handle and provide information about their location and characteristics to another program that ensures their opening. The thesis describes the methods used for detection, design and implementation of this module and finally analyzes performed experiments with this module. The functionality of the method was verified by testing in simulator.
Safe Flight-Control of Drone Based on Sonar Measurements
Benkő, Krisztián ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
Bachaleor's thesis describes design, implementation and testing of anti-crash system for safe flight-control of quadcopter. The system is implemented using ROS framework, where input data from sonars and keyboard are processed, calculation is then performed, output of which is controlling motors. Quadcopter is able to move safely in indoor environment. The emphasis was on speed of calculation and system testing. The quadcopter can be controlled by keyboard.
Robot Localization Using OpenStreet Map
Rajnoch, Zdeněk ; Veľas, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is localization of mobile robot in OpenStreet map segment. Robot IMU, odometry and compass sensors are used for trajectory reconstruction, which is compared to reference GPS trajectory. Extended Monte Carlo localization and clusterization are used for robot localization. Software is implemented in C++ with ROS middleware.
Optical Localization of Very Distant Targets in Multicamera Systems
Bednařík, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work presents a system for semi-autonomous optical localization of distant moving targets using multiple positionable cameras. The cameras were calibrated and stationed using custom designed calibration targets and methodology with the objective to alleviate the main sources of errors which were pinpointed in thorough precision analysis. The detection of the target is performed manually, while the visual tracking is automatic and it utilizes two state-of-the-art approaches. The estimation of the target location in 3-space is based on multi-view triangulation working with noisy measurements. A basic setup consisting of two camera units was tested against static targets and a moving terrestrial target, and the precision of the location estimation was compared to the theoretical model. The modularity and portability of the system allows fast deployment in a wide range of scenarios including perimeter monitoring or early threat detection in defense systems, as well as air traffic control in public space.
Proposal and implementation of mobile robots control systems
Krysl, Jakub ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Růžička, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of autonomous robot with using of the platform ROS. Its goal is to get to know the ROS and use it to implement autonomous control of real robot Leela.
Ground Vehicle Control by User Gestures
Chlud, Michal ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's work is focused on basic methods leading to successful gesture recognition in video sequence using standard RGB camera. Key steps required for hand classification are described, mainly segmentation of input video based on skin color model. Next there are discussed methods for object tracking and gesture analysis. Main goal of this work is to demonstrate this knowledge by creating application which controls robot's movement by hand gesture analysis. Solution is proposed and individual implementation steps are described.
Path Planning in the OpenStreet Map
Dobeš, Jan ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis investigates possible route planning methods in OpenStreet map and Robot operating system (ROS framework), investigates already existing solutions and then implements well integrated own library with own planning algorithms and other improvements. Finally, implemented features are verified.
Smart Interaction of Robot with Human
Nováčik, Tomáš ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Luža, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis investigates the usage of neural networks and their applications on the problem of smart home. Used localization system is based on WLAN technology. For activities rocognition is used LSTM recurrent neural network. For simulation purposes is used robot operating system.
User Interface for Autopilot of Quadcopter
Klein, Ondřej ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes the design and implementation of user interface for autopilot of quadcopter. Controlling the quadcopter is done via tablet computer. It provides manual and semi-autonomous mode and the option to control quadcopter by virtual joysticks or device movement. Part of the thesis is detailed analysis of quadcopter's abilities and description of existing solutions, which serves as a basis for the design of the application. The final program is tested and the results are evaluated.
Drivers for Quadrocopter in Robot Operating System
Fryč, Martin ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of Robotic operating system drivers for quadcopter ArduCopter. The driver is using MAVLink protocol for communication and is capable or reading telemetric data from the sensors. It can also send commands to the quadcopter, including commands to control the motors.
