Children's Group as an Alternative Care Service for Preschool Children
OULEHLOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis focuses on the children's group as an alternative care service for pre-school children, in which two main goals were set. The first aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out what is the care of children in selected children groups in the South Bohemian Region. The second objective was to find out how the parents are satisfied with the service of children's groups and why they choose this alternative. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters, the first dealing with the history of the origin and development of pre-school institutions. The second chapter deals with other child care services from 1 year to 7 years in the Czech Republic. The third chapter explains in detail how the children's group works and what it has to fulfil. In the practical part, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research was used. A semi-structured interview was conducted with the leaders of each children's group. A questionnaire was created for the parents whose children attend these facilities, and it was sent in bulk by the informants. The information obtained was elaborated in the form of mind maps, tables and graphs. The results of this work may be useful for the idea of running children's groups within the South Bohemian Region. They can be used by current or future employees in children's groups, parents using this service, or those who decide to include children in a children's group. Furthermore, students of pedagogical disciplines and also the general public may increase their awareness of this service.
Comparison of Infant Groups and Kindergartens
MARKOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis is comparing infant groups and kindergardens. The Theoretical part of this thesis deals with the meaning of preschool education, its formation and the development of preschool facilities while focusing on the care of children attending preschool education at infant groups or kindergartens. It describes differences in alimentation, number and age of children attending, educational programs within as well as hygiene requirements for space and service of those facilities. The goal of this thesis was to compare hygiene requirements for space and service and conditions for educational activities at infant groups or kindergarten. For research part, I used quality research with observation and half structured interview. The researchers group contained two infant groups and three kindergartens of South Bohemian region. Those facilities were chosen randomly. Total of five interviews were conducted. Obtained data were divided into categories and for each category two mind maps were made - one of these maps shows answers from kindergarten and the other one answers from infant's groups. Each of those maps was later described. In the research, I looked for differences in alimentation of infant's groups and kindergartens. One of the differences is that infant groups are not required to provide alimentation services. This obligation is than transferred to the parents, who then has to bring food from home to the facility. Another fact is that educational program is not required at infant's groups. I found out from research, when there is education, number of kids and their age don't project on the educational activity. The assumption was that alleviation of hygienic conditions for rooms of daily stay, outside area and hygienic facility of infant groups will show during the operation. This has not ben confirmed by the research. The alleviation of hygienoc conditions, on the contrary, is not apparent and it is due to the fact that there are less childeen in an infant group and they are of considerably youger age than kids in a kindergarten.

It shows the evaluation of the programme children's group psychotherapy from the perspective of parents and their children. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of group psychotherapy and on children in young school age. The main part is about the psychotherapy for children and the discussion groups for their parents. The qualitative research is presented in the empirical part. Semi-structured interviews with seven parents and questionnaire for seven children were conducted. These methods were analysed based on the creation of thematic categories. The evaluation of the data is also inspired by the method of grounded theory. The results show that parents and children predominantly agree in the evaluation of the children's therapeutic group program. Significant for both groups seems to be establishing close relationships with other members. An important factor in the process has been the way parents and children communicate about the group. The children's group as a tool of harmonization of parental and working roles
TRÁVNÍČKOVÁ, Veronika
The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Children's group as a tool of the harmonization of parental and work roles." Specifically, this thesis deals with how CHG participates in the solution of reconciliation of work and family which "tools" are used for that. The main aim of the work was to map out the advantages and disadvantages of the child group from the parents point od view. Its sub-goal was to identify other factors that contributed to retaining / gaining employment after returning from parental leave. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and research part. In the introductory part I am interested in the current state of preschool institutions in the Czech Republic. Then I get acquainted with the children's group in general and states its legal conditions. In the next part of the thesis are included the needs of parents concerning the provision of childcare, the pro-family measures and the issue of harmonization of work and family, which is key to the subject of my bachelor thesis. The method was chosen as a qualitative research strategy. A semi-structured interview was used to collect the data. Informant-parents, whose children attend a children's group in the Pilsen region, were selected by a special-purpose selection method. The practical part deals with the interviews themselves and their subsequent results. Research has found that parents are satisfied with the possibility of services for children, such as children's group. Not only do they have the opportunity to get back into the work process, whether it's after parental leave or during it, but it is also positive for the child. An example may be social contact with other children or work on their development autonomy, education. Parents also have time for themselves, which is very valuable. Any knowledge gained can be used as a source of information for other emerging child groups or those already associated with children's groups and what they should avoid, or, on the contrary, what parents are looking for and what needs to be further improved.
Analysis of nutrition and care of two years children at Infant Groups and Kindergartens in the district České Budějovice
KLIMEŠOVÁ, Monika
In recent years parents´ requests have been increasing for the inclusion of two-year-old children into pre-school facilities. Due to this fact Infant Groups have started to exist. There will be an amendment of the Education Act that will come into force in 2020. According to the amendment it will be obliged to educate two-year-old children in the pre-schools. A qualitative research survey which was done by means of observations and interviews was used to summarize the results of this diploma thesis. The first aim was to compare the differences between the provision of childcare of two-year-olds in the Kindergartens and the Infant Groups. The main difference between the Kindergartens and the Infant groups lies in lower amount of children in the Infant groups. The number of pedagogical staff is mostly the same that is why it is not possible to take care of two-year-old children individually in the Kindergartens. The second aim was to compare boarding in the Kindergartens and the Infant groups. It was shown that the menu in the Kindergartens is in compliance with the Consumer basket. The menu is evaluated every month. The evaluation is not obligated in the Infant groups therefore variety of menus was assessed on the basis of repetition rate of particular meals in the school canteen per month. The boarding in the Infant groups is comparable to the Kindergartens in most categories including keeping a recommended water intake. Unfortunately, the main courses have been found severe lack of fresh vegetables in offer in the Infant groups.
