Devices Monitoring in Computer Networks
Kutaj, Matej ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the supervision of computer networks and related technologies. The bachelor thesis describes individual technologies, topology of supervised network, list of Vlan networks, description of Zabbix system, its implementation in Hyper-V and setting of individual network adapters, description of error solving by creating script and then creating all elements using web interface. The results are created by maps of individual monitored networks and created graphs from priority switches.
Monitoring Service Properties of an IPFIX Collector
Kala, Jan ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Wrona, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis addresses possible ways of monitoring IPFIX collector, which is used for the collection of metadata about network traffic. The thesis briefly introduces the pro- blematics of monitoring and describes the current state of IPFIX collector, which is being developed by an organization called CESNET. It also describes service properties, which can be monitored during the process of data collection using the IPFIX protocol. A new plugin is described, which is intended for the collection and the export of service properties. The thesis describes an implementation and contains results of testing of the new plugin.
Automation of MIB Files Import
Kožušník, Adam ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about an automation of importing MIB files into MIB database. This work is written for SolarWinds company. The goal is to analyze current process of importing MIB files. Than design changes of existing tools for their use in the automation. Also design new tools, if they are needed. Designed system will be implemented in required programming language with suitable technologies. There will be consultations with responsible person from SolarWinds company during the whole work.
Wide area network monitoring system
Bill, Zdeněk ; Roupec, Jan (referee) ; Heriban, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this work relates to monitoring of large networks consisting of hundreds of active elements and thousands of users. Study of the subject is situated in the Kolejnet computer network environment, where information system is being used. At the moment, the information system includes basic monitoring of this large network. The goal [of this study] is to architect a system that will allow continuous monitoring of active elements which includes collection of data and logging of important events for immediate and later evaluation of serious circumstances that can arise.
Monitoring the operation of local internet networks
Papež, Nikola ; Bartl, Milan (referee) ; Verner, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues of traffic monitoring of local internet networks. Attention is paid to describing main functions and methods of network monitoring, consequently standards for monitoring such as SNMP protocol, WMI service or Cisco NetFlow methods. There are also described some other basic tools with open source licence used for monitoring. The main contribution of this thesis is clarification and subsequent usage of these methods for monitoring on VUT network. For this intermediation was used Nagios tool which used Nagios tool which provided feedback about the status of devices together with the own programmed plugin and tool Cacti which collected data from these devices and created graphical dependencies.

Gathering and processing of access point data
Kislinger, Jan ; Szőcs, Juraj (referee) ; Růčka, Lukáš (advisor)
This work deals with gathering and processing of access point data. At the beginning, we introduce the SNMP protocol and MIB databases. Additionally, there is ways to gather data. The next section describes data processing. First, using moving averages and candelstick chart, then calculate the predicted values. Finally, it describes a program that gather data and draws them into the charts.
System for Monitoring and Supervisory of Sensor Networks
Sedlák, Filip ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
The thesis deals with a network management method using SNMP protocol. In the following it describes principles of the networks based on the ZigBee wireless standard and discusses the possibilities of using SNMP technology for management of this kind of networks. The practical part describes analysis and development of a particular system for management of wireless networks made of ZigBee enabled PICDEM Z development boards. Finally it discuses options and problems of using this type of tool to administer a general network of ZigBee devices.
A System for Monitoring Status of Network Links via SNMP
Zubčák, Peter ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor thesis is an implementation of the system for monitoring status of network links. System collects information from network nodes, from which calculates metrics and statistics, which are available for users in MIB. The communications with network nodes is proceeded by SNMP protocol. The system is implemented in C++ language as a multiplatform service.
Dynamic State of OMNeT++ Model via SNMP
Smejkal, Jakub ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This work outlines ways of getting dynamic state into OMNeT++ model. SNMP as major technology was selected for reaching the goals. Protocols CDP and LLDP are participating in topology detection and in theoretical layer Breadth- first search is used. The output of this tool is file syntactically specied by NED language which is describing computer network.
