Integration health and social services

In my thesis I deal with the integration of health and social services. I introduced the issue of two/double departmental service management and their financing, there. In addition, I described the various actors involved in the integration of services, mentioned strategic documents and legislation related to the provision of health and social care. In the case study, I mapped the health and social services provided in Louny, through street-level bureaucrats I gained information about the interconnection of services in Louny and about the factors that affect the implementation of integration of services in the town. For successful implementation of integration, it is necessary to specify the users of integrated health and social services, to create a home base for them, to provide a flexible range of services and at the same time to support the informally caring families. The lack of demand for integrated services is linked to other factors such as ignorance of citizens and low participation in caring for close relatives. Street.level bureaucrats in health and social services do not know the integration of services, they do not encounter it in practice, this factor has an impact on the motivation of street-level bureaucrats to make changes in the provision of care. Establishment of a community center, preparation of an application for a support from EU funds and it's difficulties

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of community social work in a small town and the planning of new social services to be convinient for the real needs of the community. The thesis also deals with possible difficulties which the municipality can encounter to as applicant for a grant from the Integrated Regional Operational Program (call no. 74 Development of polyfunctional community centers infrastructure). It also focuses on the topic of sustainability of the project. The aim of this diploma thesis is to theoretically define the community centers and community social work and to describe the possibilities of drawing funds from the EU fund and the process of preparing the application and its difficulties.

Involving users of social services in the community planning process in Karlovy Vary Region

This Master's thesis deals with the description of the current state of community planning of social services and the mid-term planning of development of social services in the Karlovy Vary region. At the same time, the thesis reflects the historical content which led to the use of the community planning method in The Czech Republic. In the thesis, the author uses examples from abroad and from The Czech Republic that show specific problems especially encountered by organizers planning social services. The author bases his research on his analysis of interviews held with planning coordinators in the Karlovy Vary region. From the coordinators viewpoint, they describe structure and course of social service planning processes in the region. The author also examines the role of users invited into the planning of social services, how planning organizers communicate with those users, and how all representatives evaluate the plan's results. An additional information source regading social services planning dealt with publicly available resources, particularly websites of individual cities and their regions. Community attitudes to growth of city part Prague 13

The diploma thesis is focused on community attitudes to growth of city part Prague 13. The aim is to evaluate using of planning designs witch lay on community and participative attitudes. Theoretical part of thesis describes community planning with its roles, principals, tools and also describes evaluation of land planning, strategy planning and planning of social services. Theoretical part is focused on process and plan of participation with its methods and risks. Practical part describes characteristic of Prague 13, community attitudes to strategy progress of land, land planning, planning of social services and evaluation of the local Agenda 21. One part of the thesis compares city part Prague 13 with city part Prague 9 in evaluating of community attitudes and methods of participation. The result of comparison is the more extensive use of community attitudes and methods of participation in city part Prague 13 compared city part Prague 9. The diploma thesis brings a complex view and evaluation of community attitudes and participation between citizens and city part Prague 13. Closing part brings a recommendation for increasing participation of citizens in part of planning.

The evaluation of efficiency of the social integration strategic plan in Jáchymov town

Subject of this thesis is to evaluate effectivity of Strategic plan of social integration in the town of Jáchymov. Thesis is focused on the process of planning and effectivity of measures suggested in Strategic plan. Beside the main focus it also assesses the overall social situation of Jáchymov. It collects and describes activities aiming on social integration. It describes and evaluates the process of design and implementation of strategic plan. Connection of both areas provides a better insight into the whole topic. Based on the results of research this thesis provides possible measures to improve the quality of planning process of social services and to improve the living conditions of Jáchymov's inhabitants. This thesis can serve as a guideline to initiate proceses associated with social services planning or community activities planning. Constructing Participatory Spaces: Involving Citizens into the Urban Development Planning from the View of Planners

The work deals with constructing of participatory spaces in the process of urban development planning. The topic of involving citizens into planning is viewed from the point of planners. A concept of participation in this text is conceived in the sense of invented spaces built from above. The research perspective is an interpretative one, anchored in the constructivist epistemology. Therefore the main question is: How do planners reflect involving citizens in the planning? Firstly, the authoress demonstrates the importance of her topic by putting it into the context of wider social dynamics related to the crises of representative democracy and emerging of sub-politics. She reveals that the trend of building participatory opportunities is strengthening. The important question is formulated: How is the role of public in the strategic planning constructed? On the base of analytical induction of semi-structured interviews with planners, the authoress creates her own typology of ideal-type approaches to participation. These types of approaches came out from a distinction of the extent and the aim of spaces of participation. The involvement of citizens can be seen either as building of community, activation of elites, mapping of public preferences or as consultation with local experts.

Cooperation between Government and civil Sector - Community Planning of Social Services in the Pelhřimovsko Area

The thesis is focusing on cooperation between public and civil sectors, mainly on the area of social services development planning. In the theoretical part, general information about both sectors and their relationships is presented. The community planning method is described more deeply in the thesis, being promoted as one of the methods of cross-sector cooperation. The research part is based on a qualitative research. It deals with actual cooperation of non-profit and public organisations in the area of social services development in Pelhřimovsko area and how this cooperation is appraised by the representatives from both sectors. The main goal of the thesis is to describe cross-sector cooperation in social services in Pelhřimovsko area and to find more ways to increase its quality and effectiveness.

Social services for the elderly people in the region Rakovnicko in the context of deinstitutionalization

The thesis "Social services for the elderly in Rakovnicko and the trend of de- institutionalization" is trying to describe an effort to keep the elderly people as one of the largest groups of beneficiaries of local social services as long as possible at home. Its main objective is to determine the range of social services for the elderly in Rakovnicko district and based on the research of the key stakeholders (providers and local authorities) to assess whether the offer of social services is consistent with the trend of deinstitutionalization. The work is closely related to Rakovnik district and its municipality with extended powers The theoretical part of the work is based on a theory of public policy regulators in society , the principle of subsidiarity in social services and deinstitutionalization trend in social services. The resource background includes research covering the wishes ofseniors to remain in their homes as long as possible and documents that support this trend . The chapter on social services defines several legal terms based in Code No. 108/2006 Sb. on social services and describes the situation in recent years in the field of social services in the Czech Republic in relation to the target group of seniors.
