Vertex and Pixel Shaders for 3D Visualization of grass
Dokoupil, Martin ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This thesis describes the way to create three-dimensional visualization of grass in computer graphic. Contains progress of grass visualization from past to present. Contains shader intro and its use for visualization. Text mention scene graph which has been used for implementation. Text describes three levels of detail and implemetation of waving grass. Text compares frame speed for each level of grass and frame speed for complete visualized grass.
Vector Analysis in GIS Systems
Kittler, Jan ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The overall goal of the thesis was to study available geographic information systems (GIS) and to explore the functionality they provide. The implementation was focused on module for vector data creation and data analysis. As examples were used existing systems like GRASS and ArcGIS. The result of this master thesis was a plug-in integrated into the GIS of DELINFO, spol. s r.o. company. The plug-in can open, modify and save vector data in shapefile format. The plug-in is also able to do some basic analysis of the vector data, such as a region intersection, a union, hit tests and a distance measurement. This thesis could be used as a pattern for vector data operations in GIS.
Rendering "Small" Plants in 3D Space
Řehánek, Jiří ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with a real-time low vegetation rendering in 3D space. The low vegetation means grass and shrub. At first it looks on a implementation of vegetation in a 3D games that already exist and there investigate characteristics notable while playing and after that it comes to a evaluation of visual qualities. As next will follow design of solution of this problems and description of implementation. In final part will be summary of achieved product.
Reimplementation of GIS GRASS
Bartoň, Radek ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The geographical information system GRASS has become a standard on the field of geographical phenomenon modeling during its 26 years old lifetime. However, its internal structure follows practices from the date of its creation. This thesis aims to design a possible shape of internal parts modernization using a component architecture and object-oriented design patterns with distributed computing and dynamic languages support in mind. The designed system should stay identical from the user's point-of-view. Design results are proven on a prototype library implementation called the GAL Framework.
General Solution of Geo-Portals Based on Open-Source GIS Tools
Kučera, Ondřej ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is concerned with design and implementation of server which provides connection between GIS GRASS and Internet through WPS service. Part of this thesis is devoted to description of OGC standards and used tools.

Study of competitive relationships of selected grass species after sowing
KAHOUN, Petr
This thesis addresses the issue of competitive relationships of selected grass species from seed. The economic importance lies in identifying those species which compete in the mixture, and because a longer stay at a cost savings to restore the lawn. The experimental work was based field experiment with sowing of selected grass mixtures at two locations. From the onset of vegetation was observed onset of phenophases, the intensity of tillering, creating offshoots increase in the density and response to agro interventions. The results of this thesis is the creation of phytomass dynamics in the vegetation period, the overall look and boundness stand, his health, structural characterization of sod and economic evaluation.
Grass seed in conditions of organic and conventional farming
FLAŠKOVÁ, Martina
Grass seed growing is fundamental to modern agriculture. The aim of this bachelor thesis is the evaluation of grass seed growing under the conditions of ecological and conventional agriculture. The main problem is the lack of ecological certificated grass seeds, because the reproduction of them is difficult under ecological farming methods. Ecological grass reproduction must meet the same legislative requirements as convetional grass reproduction - of course, on condition the use of agrotechnological methods that agree with ecological agriculture law. The initiation of grass seed growing without the application of pesticides is more demanding on the treatment of agriculture land before sowing, also, the treating of grass cover during vegetation period and subsequent harvest or after harvest seed treatment is more difficult as for working processions, therefore also more expensive. According to ascertained knowledge, we can conclude that there are relatively high demands for ecological agriculture technology, nevertheless, grass seed growing under the conditions of ecological agriculture is justifiable.
Diseases and pests of grasses
BÁLEK, Václav
In the search I selected diseases and pests that are harmful to grasses specifying the damage to the health of plants, methods of diagnosis and economic threshold of harmfulness. In addition, I mention about the resistance, which is very important in this issue, because today is already grown and bred resistant varieties and the subsequent intervention against diseases and pests by pesticides or any other form of protection is not usually needed.
