Object of this master´s thesis is the design of a hangar. Ground plan dimensions are 30x60m. Vertical cleareance is 11m, overall height is 15.3m. The structure is designed for the lokality of Ostrava. The structure is held by 60m long pipe tube truss of triangular shape. The main girdle is a tube 356x20mm. The truss girder is embedded on both sides on columns composed from HEB 300. There are trusses attached to this main girder each 6m
Wellness centre in Ostrava
Hruboň, Ondřej ; Rozehnal, Miroslav (referee) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The Master’s Thesis deals with the design of a wellness centre and guesthouse in Ostrava. The building is in the shape of letter V with a cut corner. The wellness part consists of one and two above-ground floors and the guesthouse consists of three. The guesthouse has eleven accommodation units. Five of the units are equipped with balconies of reinforced concrete. All roof planes have a 15° slope, are non-walkable and covered by a shed roof. The supporting structure is longitudinal with cross reinforcing walls. The whole structure is made of ceramic bricks. The building does not have any basement and stands on base belts.
Pillar jib crane with a load capacity 600 kg
Wojnar, Tomasz ; Daňhel, Oldřich (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a mobile crane for working in a manufacturing environment. The crane has load capacity 600 kg, length of radius 3 m and load-lifting height 3m. It is equipped with the electric chain hoist with electric trolley, rotation by held by hand of burden. The diploma thesis contains crane design and control and design calculations of important components. Technical drawings are also part of the thesis.
Types and principles of water reservoirs
Cakl, Vojtěch ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with decription of the water reservoirs, in particular for the purposes of the irrigation. In the first part of the thesis is overview of the functions and distribution by purpose and location to the consumption. Following is the proposal of the storage tank volume by purpose. In next part there is a description of the construction, shape and equipment of the water reservoir. Subsenquently there is expalained the principle on simple arithmetical example. The last part of the bachelor thesis focussing of multifunctional water reservoirs and their functions in relation to the landscape. It contains some examples and proper scheme of multifunctional water reservoir.
Design of the supporting structure of the dragon statue in Bojnice in Slovakia
Novotný, Radek ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Šebek, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a supporting structure which is a crucial element of a sculpture depicting a threeheaded fairy tale dragon. Like any construction this sculpture and its structure must be designed in such a way as to not cause any harm to health or human lives. The thesis includes the theory of strength of materials, including the theory of the finite element method. The first step is an iterative design of the supporting structure including suitable semifinished products for construction that were actually used. This is followed by a detailed strength analysis of the proposed solution using finite element method in the ANSYS Workbench. The last section describes the manufacturing process of the structure including the description of the sculpture's construction. The result is an evaluation of the proposed structure, its safety and a description of the creation of the artwork which fits perfectly into the local scenery near Bojnice Castle.
Application of the risk index matrix principles to electric power distribution system elements
Bruzl, David ; Hála, Vojtěch (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the evaluation of the use of the risk index matrix (RIM) principle for distribution system elements. It evaluates the current use of RIM in EG.D, a.s., examines the individual RIM inputs and also reveals the bottlenecks. An updated method of assigning elements to the RIM is proposed that addresses the problems described and is also generally applicable to other distribution system elements at medium and low voltage levels. At the same time, a sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the influence of different factors on the RIM and to verify the stability of the categorization of the resulting RIM. The thesis also serves as a methodology for assigning elements to the RIM and includes recommendations for the distribution system operator (DSO).
Statics of an atypical family house
Bartoň, Jakub ; Šiška, Radek (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with a desing and assessment a prestressed ceiling structure above a family house with a vegetated roof. The creation of the static model was analyzed by the SCIA Engineer program.
Workshop gantry crane with a load capacity of 300 kg
Vícha, Ondřej ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with worktop gantry crane with a load capacity of 300kg. In the research part of the thesis there is an overview of existing construction solutions for smaller worktop cranes with load capacity up to 1500 kg. In second part there is a design, construction solution and construction plan of the specific crane. The construction plan includes various calculations used during the design phase of the crane as well as drawings of crane parts.
Container gantry crane
Švub, Pavel ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of the supporting structure and crane travel of a rail mounted gantry crane for handling containers at container depot. The work includes the calculation of the load acting on the crane, the design and stress analysis of individual parts of the supporting frame and the design of the crane travel, including its drive. One of the outputs of this work is the attached drawing documentation.
The sport hall in Luhačovice
Mudrák, Štěpán ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and assess a timber structure roof of a sport hall. The building is located to Luhačovice, Zlín district. Ground plan dimensions are 35 × 55 m, the height is 12 m. The main bearing element is created by a bent plate girder, that function as a double-hinge arc. The structural material includes glued laminated timber, solid timber and connecting steel elements. Spatial stability of structure is ensured by purlins and lateral steel stiffeners. The substructure is designed as strip foundations and anchor block made from concrete. Gable walls are supported by columns and horizontal lintels.
