Gesture Based Human-Computer Interface
Jaroň, Lukáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This masters thesis describes possibilities and principles of gesture-based computer interface. The work describes general approaches for gesture control.  It also deals with implementation of the selected detection method of the hands and fingers using depth maps loaded form Kinect sensor. The implementation also deals with gesture recognition using hidden Markov models. For demonstration purposes there is also described implementation of a simple photo viewer that uses developed gesture-based computer interface. The work also focuses on quality testing and accuracy evaluation for selected gesture recognizer.
Creating a 3D Face Model Using Kinect Device
Nesvadba, Tomáš ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Mráček, Štěpán (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is to suggest a method for increasing the resolution of 3D face models captured by Kinect. The document describes different methods of capturing 3D models and compares the Kinect sensor with more acurate scanners. The main part of this document is dedicated to statistic model based on the PCA and its usage in the project. The last section of the paper describes testing of various models and discuss the results and another options of aplication.
Robot Localization Using OpenStreet Map
Rajnoch, Zdeněk ; Veľas, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is localization of mobile robot in OpenStreet map segment. Robot IMU, odometry and compass sensors are used for trajectory reconstruction, which is compared to reference GPS trajectory. Extended Monte Carlo localization and clusterization are used for robot localization. Software is implemented in C++ with ROS middleware.
Object Detection Using Kinect
Švec, Ján ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the object detection using Kinect. Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft company for the Xbox 360 video game console. The objective of this work was to evaluate the existing approaches and practices for the detection not only using the image from the camera but also depth map (RGB-D sensor). The work deals in details with RoboEarth tool, its installation, settings, creation of 3D model and the detection. Performance of the RoboEarth tool was in the work investigated experimentally and also evaluated.
Robotic Shopping Cart
Krzeminský, Juraj ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with design and implementation of control unit for robotic shopping cart. Its main task is to follow a chosen person through a mall and serve as bag carriage. The text describes basic principles of human detection and tracking in images and also the method of capturing them with RGB-D camera kinect. Rest of this text contain detailed description of created application and implementation of used methods and algorithms.
Depth-Based User Interface
Kubica, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Žák, Pavel (advisor)
Conventional user interfaces are not always the most appropriate option of application controlling. The objective of this work is to study the issue of Kinect sensor data processing and to analyze the possibilities of application controlling through depth sensors. And consequently, using obtained knowledge, to design a user interface for working with multimedia content, which uses Kinect sensor for interaction with the user.
3D indoor mapping using Microsoft Kinect
Pilch, Petr ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This work is focused on creating 3D maps of indoor enviroment using Microsoft Kinect sensor. The first part shows the description of Microsoft Kinect sensor, the methods for acquisition and processing of depth data and their registration using different algorithms. The second part shows application of algorithms for map registration and final 3D maps of indoor enviroment.
3D Drawing Application Using Kinect
Bačik, Radoslav ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Szentandrási, István (advisor)
Thesis informs about the process of creating 3D drawing application using Kinect. Thesis contains examples of 3d modeling editors, descriptions of  interfaces to work with Kinect and a description of others used technologies. Conclusion contains benefit of projekt and other extension possibilities.
Kinect-Based Desktop Controller
Czompál, Zsolt ; Široký, Vít (referee) ; Žák, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis was to create a user interface that allows controlling the PC using voice commands, static poses and dynamic gestures. It contains an implementation of a natural user interface that emulates the functionality of the keyboard and the mouse. In this thesis for detecting and tracking the user was used the sensor Kinect. For implementation I have chosen platform Windows and the Kinect for Windows SDK with programming language C#. During the implementation and testing of the interface, sensor Kinect for Xbox 360 was used. The result of this master's thesis is a natural user interface that allows controlling desktop applications without using keyboard or mouse, and that is comfortable and user-friendly.
Human-machine collaboration – using computer vision
Sobotka, Pavel ; Matoušek, Radomil (referee) ; Parák, Roman (advisor)
The main task of this bachelor’s thesis is a realization of application for controlling the robotic arm through the Kinect device. Application is programmed in C# language using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 integrated development environment. The first part of the thesis deals with the topics of collaborative robotics, computer vision and Kinect device from Microsoft. The second part is about the description of the implementation and testing of the application.
