Awareness of CAN Syndrome in Children at the Children's Home in Radenín

In the bachelor thesis I describe CAN syndrome and its types. The main part of the work is a description of the family, school, institutions, projects and organizations through which children can learn about CAN syndrome. I also focus on the multidisciplinary team, prevention and description of the children's home. In the practical part of the thesis I deal with research at selected clients at the Children's Home Radenín. The aim of the work is to find out what awareness of the CAN syndrome the children have. I will determine whether they know who they can turn to for assistance, whether they had preventive programmes at school, I deal with possible consequences of the CAN syndrome, etc. Qualitative research has been used to achieve the goal. As a research technique, I choose a semi-structured interview. I think this technique is the most suitable for children. Some of the children may have no awareness of the issue, so I can explain them the concept and the interview can continue.
The Nursery School Teacher´s Awerness of the CAN syndrome

The aim of this work is to find out the awareness of kindergarten teachers about Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN). What do kindergarten teachers think of battered, abused and neglected children, what percentage of teachers have experienced with a child with CAN in their practice, what procedures do teachers have in dealing with the occurrence of a child with CAN, and how the teachers perceive the announcement itself when they suspect CAN. In addition, the goal is a deeper insight into this issue. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis contains chapters related to CAN, its forms, typical manifestations, etc. It also contains information about the role of kindergarten teachers in the given issue and also the legislative anchoring of the whole issue. In the practical part there is the research problem being solved: What is kindergarten teachers' awareness of CAN? The results of a mixed research are presented here. The questionnaire method is used for the quantitative part, the research sample is made up of kindergarten teachers. The interview method is used for qualitative research. The interview is conducted with a kindergarten teacher who has already met the CAN.
Knowledge of students at the chosen high school about the issue of sexual abused child

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sexually abused child, which generally falls under CAN syndrome. This phenomenon is increasingly affecting society throughout the world, so more attention is needed. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to describing basic concepts of CAN syndrome, defining the concept of sexual abuse, introducing its typical forms, the resulting consequences of abuse and indicating the characteristics of the victim and perpetrator. The theoretical part also deals with diagnostics, folow-up therapy and, of course, prevention. A special part of the theoretical part is the children's crisis center and a line of trust that helps the affected children and fight against it. These chapters also include statistics from the previous year on the Children's Crisis Center website. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to find out what is the awareness of the students of the selected secondary school about sexual abuse of the child. This Bachelor Thesis deals with the issue of CAN syndrome. In the theoretical part there is a summary of CAN (Child Abuse and Neglect) syndrome. The thesis offers an analysis of the division, epidemiology, history, prevention and diagnostics of this issue. It also deals with family and school which are an important part of a child's life. In the practical part, the aim is to find out what is the awareness of primary school teachers of CAN syndrome. The information about teachers' knowledge is derived from a questionnaire survey. The diploma thesis deals with CAN syndrome. The main goal of the thesis is to compare the knowledge of elementary school pupils, students of secondary schools and the general public about CAN syndrome. Another objective is to analyze the radiodiagnostic methods used to prove the effects of the syndrome. The last aim is to identify the position of the police for CAN syndrome. Within the main objective, two hypotheses were set. These hypotheses compared whether there is a statistically significant difference between the knowledge of primary school pupils and secondary school students, and secondary school students and the general public. To verify the hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was carried out and then descriptive and mathematical statistics were performed. The benefit of the diploma thesis is in gaining an overview about the knowledge of elementary school pupils, secondary school students and the general public of the CAN syndrome.
Second Grade Elementary School Students'Knowledge about Children Abuse

The thesis called Second Grade Elementary School Students' Knowledge about Children Abuse is divided into two parts. The theoretical part, which consists of one main chapter, deals with the forms of Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) syndrome, its manifestations and consequences. Each of the forms listed is supplemented by a typical behaviour of the children who have been victims of CAN. The thesis also summarizes the development of CAN syndrome term and possible causes of abuse. The thesis includes information on basic children rights and abuse prevention. The final part of the thesis emphasizes authorities responsible for safeguarding children. The practical part of the thesis contains research results. The objective of this part was to find out the depth of the lower secondary pupils' knowledge on physical and psychological abuse. The research suggests that the pupils were equally aware of physical and psychological abuse. The method used for the research was a questionnaire followed by data comparison. Furthermore, the research has observed that the pupils have personal experience with physical and psychological abuse and punishment. The diploma work deals with the problems today's families suffer from, also deals with the support that can be given to dysfunctional families in the Czech Republic. Description of functional family and the family definition itself is the integral part of the diploma work. The text also brings information about criminal activities of under age children, CAN syndrome, divorce and about essential and important laws related to family problematics. The theoretical part is completed with practical examples obtained at interviews. The aim of the diploma work is to define and to analyze the problems, to summarize the assistance and support of today's families and, last but not least, to provide the description of the law leaning on the family assistance.

Gardianship maltreatments and offences related to it.

Guardianship maltreatment is one of the most harmful crimes to a society, but the literature is somewhat neglected about it, for example, in comparison with the offense of battering a person living in common dwelling, namely domestic violence. Even so, it devotes some attention, at least that part of the issue related to the particular child victims of this crime. Crimes against persons who are unable to care for themselves on their own and are dependent on the care of another person who subsequently hurting is the socially very harmful or even liquidation. This offense is special both in terms of characteristics of the offender, and in terms of its subject, which is a victim of this crime. The most important peculiarity is that the object of attack is a person who is in the care of another. That person is helpless, unable to care for themselves properly. This is followed by another peculiarity of this crime, which is the relationship of the perpetrator to the victim. This has to be helping the victim in dealing with matters of everyday life and be so supportive to him. Instead, he uses this dependence, helplessness and utter reliance of the victim's person and tortures him.
