Zhodnotenie vplyvu informačných komunikačných technológií na ekonomickú úroveň vo svete
Bobošová, Terézia
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess the impact of ICT on economic and social indicators of different countries in the world. The key economic indicator is GDP per capita. Other indicators representing economic and social area, which are expected to be influenced by ICT, are youth unemployment rate and education. The theoretical part is focused on identifying the present and historical impact of ICT and subsequently in the selected countries. The next section describes the methodology related to the regression analysis. Then it is used in the practical part, which deals with the creation of econometric models. It is essential to verify the presumption that technology (in this case ICT) has positive effect on the level of economic performance and education in the country and minimises youth unemployment rate.
Analýza nerovnosti ve vzdělání v Ghaně
Machačová, Lucie

Education is an important attribute of human capital and it is effective instrument for combating poverty. Subsequently is described the problematic of the digital divide and ICT in education, because nowadays teaching of information and communication technologies is an important assumption for quality education. The second part is focused on the level of inequality in education in Ghana and its causes. Also there is analyzed relationship between government expenditures on education and school enrolment rates. Finally, it discusses the issue of teaching ICT in the region and problems with its implementation. Based on the analysis, obtained results and possible recommendation are discussed.
iPad and its possibilities of use in education with a focus on primary and secondary schools
Světlík, Martin ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
Apple products are much more common as a part of an education in western countries than in Czech Republic where these products have been long neglected. However this situation has changed after introduction of iPad and so this thesis deals with the possibilities of its use in education, specially focused on primary and high schools. The thesis thus provides a comprehensive overview of the application of modern technologies in Czech primary and high schools, based on an analysis of existing solutions, proposal of specific use of Apple technology and its deployment and presentation of initial studies. Very important part of this thesis is also a research of already implemented solutions in Czech Republic. Thesis contains several procedures and recommendations which are based on practical experiences of schools that already use iPad in education.
The Economic Potential of Existing eHealth Systems in the Czech Republic
Bruthans, Jan ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kotýnková, Magdalena (referee) ; Večeř, Jan (referee)
The purpose of this dissertation is to explore the contemporary area of information technologies employed in health care (eHealth). Focusing on the systems already employed in the Czech Republic, it aims to analyse them, to quantify expenditures of their introduction and maximum benefits derived from these, as well as to evaluate their real current profit. Out of the three existing national systems, this dissertation concentrates on the two only (eRecept, ePACS), as it became impossible to evaluate the third -- IZIP system due to scarcity of the relevant information available. In the field of expenditures not only generally published numbers are taken into consideration, but this dissertation also evaluates the expenditures of other subjects involved (IT systems producers, health care providers, etc.). As the first dissertation in the Czech Republic it quantifies benefits derived from the existing eHealth systems and unlike foreign theses it greatly emphasizes just the expenditures of other subjects involved. Included in this dissertation is also the evaluation of achievements of the eHealth systems in the Czech Republic complete with supposed grounds for this situation. This dissertation also recommends courses of action for contractors of these systems to ensure future basis for more economical and successful eHealth systems. These recommendations are mainly based on analysis of development of the existing national eHealth systems. For the complex evaluation of the costs, maximum of possible and real benefit of the individual eHealth systems the research approach adopted in this dissertation includes descriptive method and SWOT analysis, extrapolation and abstraction, comparative and factor analysis.
Mergers and acquisitions in the information and communication technologies industry
Hovad, Martin ; Benáčanová, Helena (advisor) ; Ing. Martin Kálovec, Ph.D. (referee)
This thesis deals with the subject of mergers and acquisitions in the information and communication technologies industry. The first part contains general definition and classification of mergers and acquisitions and defines the generic process of mergers and acquisitions both theoretically and with practical suggestions. The second part includes the particularities of the information and communication technologies industry itself and an analysis of world-wide and Czech Republic’s transactional data.
Competitive analysis of leading ICT companies on the Czech market
Dvořák, Oskar ; Feige, Tomáš (advisor) ; Molnár, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with the field of Competitive Intelligence in relation to the possibilities of application of its methods and tools for competitive analysis of the market environment using modern virtual social networks. Theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of the market environment of ICT companies by using Porter's analysis and then it is focused on the description of selected tools and methods used to processing unstructured data and social networks analysis. The practical part is based on a real project which ran from early March 2013 at IBM Company. Practical part demonstrates current possibilities of information technology in the field of Competitive Intelligence.
ICT in language teaching
Nováková, Marcela ; Kubálková, Markéta (advisor) ; Kubálek, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis focuses on using ICT during langueage teaching. The author cooperates with concrete language school from Prague which would like to start using internet to make lessons more efficient. According to the survey, students would like to use the internet to study the language at home. E-learning and m-learning are defined here. Also their positives and negatives are mentioned. M-learning is thought to be very popular in language teaching these days. Also open source softwares are considered to be a solution. Students would also like to communicate with their colleagues and teachers through instant messengers and social networks. All of these possibilities were taken in mind and the author tried to find the best way how to get the clients of the language school satisfied. The purpose of the whole process was also to gain new clients.
Use of Authoring Tools to Create Physical Models and Simulations
KOREŠ, Jaroslav
This thesis deals about the use of authoring tools in physics, especially in creating physical models and simulations, and their contribution to different areas of teaching. The use of authoring tools is in the thesis closely discussed in connection with the teaching theories of constructivism and pedagogical content knowledge. The specific content of these theories and the reasons for their links to reference topics are listed in the theoretical part. Here is the survey of the current state of ICT tools with regard to their potential application in the teaching of physics. These are some examples of the selected authoring tools and examples of their use. In the experimental part of the thesis are first formulated research questions and the research hypotheses. That will be tested in the research. The research question was: "Has the use of authoring tools significant improvement in pupils' understanding and application of the curriculum?". The reason for this formulation and relevant hypothesis are described in the paper. Based on the research hypotheses was chosen research approach and used method - in this case pedagogical experiment. In the research were involved in various schools and teachers. The content of testing the effect of authoring tools were also different curriculum in physical education. Individual experiments and their results are described in separate chapters. In each description is a didactic analysis and justification of the selected used simulation maded by authoring tool. For each experiment, the values are given statistical probability of confirming/rejecting the hypothesis. In conclusion, the overall evaluation experiments and on this basis are recommended ways to implement authoring tools into teaching. There were described some other suggestions to use authoring tools, going beyond the experiment, based on the author's personal experience and teaching practice. It is recommended to dedicate neglected issue of authoring tools in teaching more attention in other pedagogical research.
Study of system development in firm Dussmann spol. s r.o. focused on process analysis and ICT use
Petřek, Pavel ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Kalina, Jaroslav (referee)
In theoretical part, this thesis deals with evolution of term information which must be interpreted right way to continue to larger, more complex systems like information systems. This technical part is supported by proces analysis, which is needed to identify main processes of the organisation. This core proceses can be now supported by ICT in order to improve their efectiveness and performance. Increased quality of these processes is measured by applying maturity model, that can quantify diferencies between new processes and original ones.
