Cloud computing in the sector of Small and Medium Enterprises

This bachelor thesis focuses on the ubiquitous trend of cloud computing and its application in the environment of small and medium-sized businesses. The purpose of this thesis is to characterize the basic properties of the cloud computing concept and to propose a specific feasible solution for a selected company from this sector. The thesis describes the general term of cloud computing, its architecture and division according to individual characteristics. In addition, the thesis defines the benefits and limitations related to application of the given technology. The practical part is dedicated to analysis of the existing state of IT infrastructure of companies and to proposed feasible solutions meeting company requirements. The TCO method, recognized for its high efficiency in assessments of IT projects, is used to calculate the costs of implementation of each of the possible solutions. The acquired data are used to compare these solutions, leading to a recommendation as to whether the cloud technology is an optimal solution or not. The main benefit of the thesis is the comprehensible elaboration of the issue of small and medium-sized businesses shifting from the traditional network infrastructure to cloud solutions.
Cloud Computing in sector of small and middle companies

This research focuses on the area of cloud computing, an important research area in computer and service sciences. The general aim of this research is to emphasize the business value of cloud computing to the business. The objective of this research is to explore the economic benefits of cloud computing in order to promote its use in the sector of small and middle companies. In order to accomplish the objectives of this research, technologies of cloud computing were studied extensively. This research relies on secondary data sourced from books and academic and business journals on service science and the cloud computing and Cloudonomics concepts. All literature is critically analyzed and finding are passed into my analysis. Subsequently, the insistent cost benefits of cloud computing are identified. The output of this research is a practical recommendation to adopt a cloud computing as cost optional solution. Additionally, encourage IT as a business strategy, which gives the direction for future research in this specific field is suggested.
Cloud Computing for small and medium large companies

The aim of this document is to describe the main principles of cloud computing, looking back to the past, the definition of different variants of cloud computing, show the issue of security and finally putting economic formulas for price performance, convenience and more in the cloud. Next step is creating of market analysis on the cloud computing model and compare it with own solutions. This is a summary of information about cloud computing, which also has a current market data available in the Czech Republic. Conclusions show off their work intensity calculations together with their main disadvantages.
Design of Part of ICT Infrastructure Migration to the Data Center

This Master Thesis deals with the design of part of ICT infrastructure migration of two sites of the international company to the external data center. It analyzes the current status of company ICT, describes the virtualization infrastructure and its operational costs. Main part of the Thesis describes a possible solution of migration of virtualization infrastructure to external data center by using project management tools and methods. Finally, the Thesis summarizes project benefits for the company.

This diploma thesis deals with the selection of an appropriate information system which should help to make the company processes more effective. It should also save time and enable faster adaptation to new changes in the company PORTABELL. The first part describes the essential theory to get the reader acquainted with the issues, the second part is dedicated to the analysis of corporate environment and its trouble spots. The last part deals with the selection of the information system. The information system is chosen based on the predetermined criteria and requirements.

My thesis contains description of the selection process of an information system for the company VAŠ hotel B & B Ltd., which runs VV hotel in Brno. The chosen information system aims to improve current processes which leads to increase the number of accommodated persons. The first part of this thesis describes theoretical background, which I implemented in analytical and practical part of this thesis. The following chapter describes the current situation. As a part of this thesis I did analysis of specified budget for the selection of the information system. The last chapter describes the selection of the information system. In this chapter I’ve specified system requirements and described the whole selection process. The end of this thesis, identifies benefits that comes with it, and this chapter also contains an economic evaluation of the entire proposal.

The thesis aims to describe the selection of a new information system, which should lead to process streamlining and a boost in the number of customers at Rumburak s.r.o. The first chapter lays out the theoretical knowledge needed to tackle the task at hand. The following section analyzes the internal and external environment of the company and the implications thereof. The proposal portion contains a comparison of the available information systems and selects the best among them. It develops a schedule for the implementation of the new IS, along with identifying the benefits and economic evaluation of the entire proposal.

Cost analysis of the platform as a service solutions for a model company.

The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis is focused on general characteristics of cloud computing. It includes introduction into characteristics of cloud deployment, payment and distribution models. Furthermore, this section clarify the role of participants, security and advantages and disadvantages. Particular emphasis is aimed on the distribution model platform as a service and its providers. This knowledge is then used in the practical part, which is also focused on a platform as a service. Theoretical benefit of this part is to establish a structured, coherent and comprehensive insight into cloud computing. The practical part consists of an analysis comparing the investment and operating costs of custom and cloud solutions for model company. The first section of the analysis is defining the company's own infrastructure and solutions. The other section clearly visualizes investment and operating costs of such infrastructure. These costs are then compared with equivalent solutions using cloud technology and put into context with the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies.
ERP IN CLOUD

This diploma thesis focuses on the problematics of providing ERP in Cloud. The main objectives of this thesis lie in either identification of the situation in the ERP market, provision of an outline of particular deployment models, evaluation of strong and weak parts of ERP in cloud in contractor's and customer's point of view and in charting of potential risks and chances for the area. Obtained theoretical findings are utilized in the practical part of the thesis. Its significant portion is dedicated to proposition of methodology for the selection of right ERP model supply. This is then used for the particular choice of Oracle JD Edwards implementation. To achieve these objectives author realizes an analysis of electronic and printed resources as well as consultations with experts and also uses his own practical experiencies from Algotech Corporation. The main contribution of this thesis is in the creation of comprehensive sum of problematics and in the formation of methodology for the right type of deployment selection. This is all considering the further application and verification on the example. Thesis is divided into five theme parts -- ERP, Cloud, ERP in Cloud, methodology and practical setting of the presented methodology.
