Teoretická část práce je zaměřená na obecné charakteristiky cloud computingu. Obsahuje seznámení s charakteristikami cloudu modely nasazení, platebními i distribučními modely. Dále jsou v této části objasněny role účastníků, bezpečnost i výhody a nevýhody. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na distribuční model platform as a service a jeho poskytovatele. Tyto znalosti jsou následně použity v praktické části, která je na platform as a service také zaměřena. Přínosem teoretické části práce pro čtenáře je vytvoření strukturovaného, uceleného a srozumitelného náhledu na technologii cloud computingu. Praktickou část práce tvoří analýza porovnávající investiční a provozní náklady vlastního a cloud řešení pro modelovou společnost. Součástí analýzy je definování společnosti a infrastruktury vlastního řešení. V další části jsou přehledně zobrazené investiční a provozní náklady takové infrastruktury. Tyto náklady jsou poté porovnány s ekvivalentním řešením za použití technologie cloudu a dány do souvislostí s výhodami a nevýhodami těchto technologií. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis is focused on general characteristics of cloud computing. It includes introduction into characteristics of cloud deployment, payment and distribution models. Furthermore, this section clarify the role of participants, security and advantages and disadvantages. Particular emphasis is aimed on the distribution model platform as a service and its providers. This knowledge is then used in the practical part, which is also focused on a platform as a service. Theoretical benefit of this part is to establish a structured, coherent and comprehensive insight into cloud computing. The practical part consists of an analysis comparing the investment and operating costs of custom and cloud solutions for model company. The first section of the analysis is defining the company's own infrastructure and solutions. The other section clearly visualizes investment and operating costs of such infrastructure. These costs are then compared with equivalent solutions using cloud technology and put into context with the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies.
