My diploma thesis is focused on the culture, interculture comminication and cultural differences, especially in south-east Asia - with focus on Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore. I made my own research on the perception of cultural differences. The target group was young people from the whole World, who are working in south-east Asia. At the end of my thesis I am combining the knowledge I got from the research and the theoretical part.

The thesis speaks about European Union Community programmes for the 2007 - 2013 budgetary period, that are focused on youth, education and culture. To be specific that means Youth in Action, Lifelong learning programme, Culture and MEDIA 2007. It deals with the actions of these programmes, with the conditions that the projects to be funded through the programmes have to fulfil, and with the recommendations for the applicants.
Spanish cultural standards

These Spanish-Czech cultural standards could be useful as a part of intercultural trainings made for Czech managers and workers who want to be prepared for a stay in Spain or any contact with Spanish culture. The theoretical part explains different related terminology necessary for a correct use of the standards. It involves terms like social interaction, communication and intercultural communication. The practical part describes the basic characteristics of the country, political and economical system, business dealings and diplomatic protocol. The core of the thesis is the chapter Czech-Spanish cultural standards which analyzes the main differences of Czech and Spanish cultures elaborated according to the executed interviews.
The analysis of donations to the theatres

The thesis deals with the analysis of theatre - financing. One of the alternatives of theatre - financing is trough public budget grants (dotations). Grant application procedure differs among Czech regions due to various culture policies. Main goal of the thesis is to characterize grant application process within all Czech regions, excluding Prague, as one of several possible alternatives of theatre - financing and to analyze relationships between grants and related variables. The correlation analysis used in the thesis shows strong relationship between amounts addressed to theatres and the size of the region.
Managing of geographically dispersed teams

This work is focused on the comparison of cooperation in local and geographically dispersed teams(GDT). In the first part there are defined terms: team, process and project. The first point of analysis is identification of characteristics, which are essential for functioning of team from organizational view. On these characteristics are shown differences between local teams and GDT. Second point is description of requirements for each of activity categories and marking them according to their importance. Third part is focused on evaluation which activity category best fits to kind of team. Next chapter is focused in problems with culture and social difference. This part provides advices, how to create and manage team in order to minimize cultural and social problems. By using the Geert Hofstedehs indexes are shown differences between several cultures. Last part is focused on person of team manager. There are shown requirements for characteristics and personality of local and GDT team manager. Differences are applied on questions of: determining the roles of individual team member, the correct motivation, and solving problems in the team.
Obchodní a kulturní zvláštnosti Saúdské Arábie

Bakalářská práce se věnuje odlišnostem saúdské kultury od kultury západní a jejím prvkům, které se promítají do obchodního jednání. Nejprve popisuje teritorium z geografického, politického a demografického hlediska. Podrobně rozebírá kulturní zvyklosti a tradice, náboženství a jeho vliv na život Saúdů. Dále uvádí užitečná fakta pro vstup na saúdský trh, zvláštnosti a specifika obchodního jednání a vyjednávacího stylu.

Teoretická část práce se zabývá třemi oblastmi ? firemní kulturou, holdingem a pojišťovnictvím. Součástí práce je dotazník, který ověřuje pohled veřejnosti na tuto pojišťovnu.

Firemní kultura ovlivňuje celý chod společnosti. Patří mezi nejzákladnější měkké předpoklady prosperity. Může se stát velmi mocným nástrojem pracovní motivace. Existuje jasná souvislost mezi vyspělostí firmy a její kulturou. Cílem je zhodnotit firemní kulturu jednak po stránce teoretické a jednak po stránce praktické se zaměřením na Skupinu ČEZ, v neposlední řadě také diagnostikovat firemní kulturu v této společnosti. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze tří hlavních částí. První část práce je zaměřena na firemní kulturu obecně. Druhá část nabízí seznámení s kulturou Skupiny ČEZ. Třetí část je věnována diagnostice firemní kultury se zaměřením na zjištění stavu kultury ve Skupině ČEZ.
