This thesis is aimed at comparison web pages of selected districts of Prague. Its benefit consists in determination of the quality of web pages on this specific level of public sector. Moreover, each testing is concluded with a listing of major shortcomings and suggestions for improvements. Last but not least, the relationship between usability testing and heuristic testing has been determined at the end of this thesis.

The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse the extent to which is the use of internet websites exploited by logistic companies. After executing an audit, the determined results are evaluated and some correct solutions are proposed. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical section. The theoretical section is concerned with essential aspects of high-quality websites. These aspects are usability, accessibility, search engine optimization, technical design and graphical design. These were the foundations for creating an audit framework, which was then used for analysing individual websites. The practical section consists of a detailed audit of a logistic company. It also contains user testing which is based on observing randomly selected respondents. After the detailed audit, the summary of individual audits follows. The output of this thesis is an overview of the website presentation quality of the logistic companies with varying size. The main contribution of this diploma thesis is a complex survey and status comparison of the logistic companies' websites.

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which covers user friendliness, usability and further aspects of interaction between computer and a human. According to the assumptions of author this field is not favourably promoted during the educational process of the Czech IT experts at Czech universities. Knowledge of HCI is one of the crucial factors of development of effective information systems. The first key part of this thesis contains evaluation of education in HCI at Czech universities. In the second key part the author proposes a subject of HCI, which could be thought at Czech universities. Finally the reached goals are compared with the set ones.
Improving the competitiveness of e-shop using internet advertising

The subject of thesis is examining the impact of internet advertising and web site usability on the competitiveness of internet commerce. The aim of this work is the successful application of theoretical knowledge to practical examples of e-shop Lahůdkářství Jan Paukert. This application should show an increase in attendance and achievement of higher sales. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part is focused on theoretical knowledge in the field of usability and web ads, the second deals with their application to the internet shop.

The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a comprehensive methodology for the comparison of websites internet shops. The methodology includes all the important criteria for analysis. Furthermore, three selected internet shops are assessed using the methodology and the results of analysis are evaluated.
The Comparison of Websites of Selected Worldwide Cties

The main goal of this thesis is to create a methodology for comparison of web pages of worldwide cities and to apply it on the selected websites. Introductory theoretical part describes the history and the present of web pages and shows their categorization, technologies, key statistics and reasons of rising significance of city websites with emphasis on e-Government. The official web pages of London, New York and Sydney are compared. These are modern world-known cities comparable in population, used languages and the overall attractiveness. Methodology of comparison tries to be objective, universal and reusable. It evaluates the websites with a set of criteria divided into 4 domains: graphical design, usability, accessibility and information content. In the end the final ratings are determined as weighted averages of criteria and domains.
Web-based and desktop application user interfaces - differences and convergence

This paper compares and contrasts user interfaces of web-based and desktop applications. It analyzes reasons of their differences theoretically and then verifies the resulting hypotheses using real-world examples. Usability of chosen pairs of applications is compared using methods of heuristic evaluation. In last part, the paper estimates the future development of the interfaces convergence.
Comparison of Prague's and London's websites

The main theme of the work is global analyse and comparison of Prague's and London's websites. At first treats of the Internet, then focus to the specific websites. The text also contains case studies of structure searching. Then the work describes the most important parts of websites, like usability, accessibility, information value and graphic design. After that there is the creation a system of evaluation and it's applied to chosen websites. These results are verified by user test. At the end of the work is final comparison, and few concepts for websites improvement.
Business success of eshops and its evaluation

This diploma thesis is focused on business success of eshops concretely usability, credibility, accessability, competitive advantage and some types of promotion(PPC, SEO, email marketing). This work also describes way of evaluation of business results and KPI-driven management. In practical part of the work there is eshop www.ceskeskolky.cz analyzed. On the basis of some methods (SEO analysis, Usability testing, etc.) particular suggestions and recommendations are made to improve business results of this eshop.
Usability of web pages and applications and its testing and measuring

This bachelor thesis is divided into three standalone parts. First of them serves as an introduction to the topic of web usability. It also mentions web accessibility which may also affect usability, but is not a subject of this thesis. Next part offers an overview of issues web developers could run into when working on their projects. It tries to describe possible problems and proposes suitable solutions. Interesting sections are those related to text writing and web forms creating. It's necessary to work properly with on-line text and its formatting, because it is the most important part of web content. Also forms are important thanks the fact they are used to gather user's input. Due to that there is a necessity to have them easily fillable and error proof. The goal of the third part was to conduct usability testing of real server -- Nepropasni.cz. It's main use is searching for various cultural actions and performances. Two tests were run -- usability testing with real users and heuristic analysis. Results of user usability testing are discussed in final report, which is also attached to this thesis. Last part further describes other methods often used to measure and asses web pages.
