Children's Library in kindergartens: possibilities, limits and challenges

My dissertation comes out of claim that the exploitation of library for children in kindergarten isn't systematically processed. But, it is apparent, acording international research (PIRLS, PISA), that the existence of library for children has positive influence to the development of reading literacy. The objective of my dissertation was the charting of the role of libraries for children in kindergarten. The dissertation were finding out how the library for children are used in kindergartens. What we need to build up to the functional library was the next topic of my dissertation. Both main topics were examinated in qualitative research. I used the design of case studying. I closely charted three cases of kindergarten where the library for children is used. It is needed to add relevant literature, interactive books and attractive books (inside and ouside). This way brings perfect and full using of library. Apart of this, it is the same with the appearence of the library. It is essential to captivate with attractive and nice appearence by children and adults too. Fashion blogs as a new trend in online journalism and their influence on readers

The main focus of the thesis is to describe the phenomenon of fashion blogs as a specific style of online writing and to analyse its influence on readers in relation to printed fashion magazines. The theoretic part describes an evolution of online media since the beginnings of Web, also in the context of generational change. It focuses on the Generation Y and its relation to online media. Furthermore, it describes internet media and internet journalism and their current tendencies. The next part defines blogs in general and contains a brief history of the phenomenon, their comparison with traditional journalistic values and finally on fashion blogs themselves. Fashion blogs are perceived as a part of modern visual culture, which is closely connected to the evolution of fashion blogs, and as a sign of societal trends of narcissism and individualism. The thesis compares the influence and the meaning of fashion blogs in comparison with printed fashion magazines. The analytical part uses a quantitative research and analyses the readers' view on both fashion blogs and the printed fashion magazines. The Reprezentation of Selected Socialist and Communist Countries in the Czech Press in 2010

Theme of this diploma work are news related to selected socialist and communist countries in the Czech press. Characteristic works are the specifics of media countries with the socialist (or communist) government in the Czech press. Theoretical work is beyond theory Frankfurt and Birmingham schools. The basis of the analysis work will stereotypes concerning the socialist and communist countries, the Czech news media contents. The findings will then be the basis for in-depth interviews with the news media workers and the staff representative bodies of the countries. The goal is to reveal the motives and the construction of stereotypes at the production of media content.
THE TRANSFORMATIONSOF THE RELATION BETWEEN AND READER AND BOOK IN THE YEARS 1990-2009

Bachelor thesis "The Transformations of the Relation between a Reader and a Book in the Years 1990-2009" aims to describe and clarify the development of book reading in the Czech Republic from post-revolution years to the present days with an extension to the 80s. Mapping of this subject-matter is based on an analysis of a range of readers' surveys which addressed the relation between a reader and a book, reading habits, behavior on the book market, libraries, preferred literary genres and authors etc. This thesis covers all these aspects. It also deals with international researches of reading literacy among teenagers (PISA). In the beginning it offers several readers typologies in search of the most suitable definition of a reader. It treats the significance of the book for human society and explains the changes on the book market since the fall of the communist regime. Then it characterizes sociological research and its requirements as well as its possible limits and deficiencies. The most extensive chapter describes individual readers' surveys, from information about how they were carried out to their most important findings which are then put into context.
