Variscan subduction-related plutonism in the French Massif Central
Usmanova, Diana ; Janoušek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Špillar, Václav (referee)
The French Massif Central belongs to the Moldanubian Zone, which is an internal part of the Variscan Orogen. The Massif was formed during six tectonic-metamorphic events and has a nappe structure. The Muscovite-bearing Peraluminous Granitoids (MPG), Cordierite-bearing Peraluminous Granitoids (CPG), K-rich Calc-alkaline Granitoids (KCG), and Amphibole-bearing Calc-alkaline Granitoids (ACG) types of granitoids were intruded into the nappe units during the Carboniferous. The formation of FMC granitoid plutons was predominantly linked to continental collision; only the ACG plutonites are older, typical of magmatic arcs. These amphibole-bearing calc-alkaline quartz diorites to tonalites are common in the western French Massif Central (Limousin region), where a 250 km long belt known as the "Limousin tonalite belt" is found. Its linear shape and characteristic geochemical composition suggest a subduction-related origin. Newly obtained geochemical data from the Limousin region indicate an intermediate composition (52-57 wt% SiO2), a metaluminous, subalkaline character, and place the samples in the calc-alkaline series. Furthermore, enrichment of Large Ion Lithophile Elements (LILE), depletion of High Field Strength Elements (HFSE), negative europium anomaly (Eu/Eu* = 0,63-0,92) and relatively low initial...
Pupil with disorder of learning in primary school
Šustrová, Eliška ; Linková, Marie (advisor) ; Křivánek, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the basic concepts, to the etiology of the occurrence of specific learning disabilities and to the classification of their manifestation. It draws up the possibilities of the diagnostics and of the follow-up re-education. It describes the possibilities of educating students with disabilities at basic schools or individually. The practical part of this thesis focuses on exploring the issue of specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education, namely, in the third and fourth grade. Three case reports whose results most visibly pointed to a problem are also present here.
Differences in physiology between r and K bacterial strategists.
Moserová, Andrea ; Konopásek, Ivo (advisor) ; Krištůfek, Václav (referee)
Differences in physiology between r and K-bacterial strategists. The definition of bacterial r/K-strategists is currently based on the time interval they need to form a colony on agar plate. Also, their growth rate which is often used to identify r/K-position within a pair of bacterial strains. To date it was evidenced that also other physiological characteristics relate to bacterial r/K-status, for example their different ability to 1) adapt for changing conditions 2) utilize complex or very diluted substrates, 3) use secondary metabolites to cope with other strains and possibly also others. The intersection of macro- and microbiological r/K-conceptions lies in time distribution of r/K-strategists during succession. The aim of this study was to verify the basic r/K-characteristics on nine chosen strains and to correlate them with their physiological differences that are implicitly regarded as characteristic for r/K-groups. The study deals with growth rates measurements on both liquid and solid media, identification of fatty acid composition and membrane fluidity of strains cultivated at near-optimum and cold temperature in order to track the differences in cold adaptation. The study also deals with the description of possible new K-strategist characteristic: the lack of correlation between the colony...
ALTREP Data Representation in FastR
Marek, Pavel ; Šindelář, Štěpán (advisor) ; Horký, Vojtěch (referee)
R is a programming language and a tool used mostly in statistics and data analysis domains, with a rich package-based extension system. GNU-R, the standard interpreter of R, in version 3.5.0 introduced a new native API (ALTREP) for R extensions developers. The goal of the thesis is to implement this API for FastR, an interpreter of R based on GraalVM and Truffle, and explore options for optimization of FastR in context of this API. The motivation is to increase the number of extensions that can be installed and run on FastR. 1
Root system development in the early phases of plant ontogeny
Mašková, Tereza ; Weiser, Martin (advisor) ; Šmilauer, Petr (referee)
Root system development in the early phases of plant ontogeny Seed germination and subsequential developement of the root system is a critical stage of life of a newly rising plant. The plant must recognise and suitably and quickly find an answer to the environmental conditions in which it finds itself. However, the way in which the root system develops and its final architecture depends not only on the environmental conditions but also on the plant itself. In addition, responses to different conditions may vary among different plant species. This work examines the developement of a root system in the first four weeks of a plant's life. It observes the dependence on the amount of available nutrients in the substrate and on the amount of available nutrients the seed is given by the mother plant. It also briefly touches on the relations between seed germination, seed size and the amount of available nutrients. No differences relating to the amount of available nutrients were found in seed germination. However, differences in germination speeds were found between plant species. Plant biomass increases with the increasing amount of available nutrients in the substrate. This increase is relatively greater for plant species with a small seed size. Plant species with a big seed size invest relatively more...
Limited and censored explained variables
Kostka, Rudolf ; Bejda, Přemysl (advisor) ; Komárek, Arnošt (referee)
In this thesis at first we focus on theory of dealing with limited and censored explained variables. We begin with discrete variables and show the theory of binary and categorical variables. Later we explain utility of models logit and probit and demonstrate it at a practical example. We also provide a comparison of these two models. Third chapter deals with limited explained variables, specifically censored, truncated and variables representing some time to event. In the last chapter we describe some functions, which might be used to plot a graph of a survival function using softwares R or Mathematica. Some options in Excel are also mentioned, but they are very limited. Described functions are then demonstrated in use at a practical example with our gained data. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Fear in The Space
Savincová, Karolína ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Gajdošíková, Pavla (referee)
The thesis deals with the concept of fear in space. Through a/r/tographic research, the author examines the concept and changes in its perception during the process of creating an artistic and pedagogical work. In the first part, the author documents theoretical and methodological framework of the research, designs the research proposal and defines terms related to it. In the second part, the author presents her own way of grasping the concept in the space and introduces the concepts that related with this topic. She researches the concept through the reflection of her own work, both artistic and then pedagogical. As part of her artistic work, the author acquaints the reader with the origin of the artwork and follow-up reflection, from which comes the creation of visual task. In the third part, she analyses the primary documents using three-phase coding and then creates concept maps from the obtained codes, which are used to visualize the display of research results. Interprets the data obtained from the research. In the fourth part, the author summarizes the results of research, answers research questions and evaluates the achievement of the research goal. From the results of the analysis of available documents and by comparing conceptual maps, she finds out whether the understanding of the...

Vyhodnocení změny struktury a prostorových vztahů dřevinného patra po revitalizaci rašeliniště na lokalitě Malá louka
Keller, Lukáš
This thesis is aimed on research of spatial distribution of trees on peatland Malá louka and their dependance on spatial covariates of distance from water reservoirs and terrain elevation. It also approximates volume of tree biomass that were produced spontaneously over approximately 60 years till its thining in 2014s revitalization and therefore it tries to reconstruct the state of stand before that revitalization. For spatial analysation a spatstat R library was used. Data were collected with Fieldmap and results are, that birch and alder can be found closer to water reservoirs while beech stay further away and spruce can be found in every distance. From result we van conclude, that revitalization in 2014 was primarily aimed to cut down birch.
