Testing and charging of accumulator cells
Sršeň, Jan ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
Direction of the master's thesis is design and construct electronic device for testing available accumulators. Than there are in detail subscribe some metods of charging cells and their right usage to select type of cells. Also eventually problems that can become if the choice is false. Next part contains description of principles as several type accumulator works and their loading characteristic witch are important know for choose the best testing way. The most important knowledge is detection of stop point charging when accumulators are charged and following charging can be dangerous. Because there are more methods to detect this point so in thesis are overwrite. The most important part is design of tester. That is mapped to more segments witch communicating together. Controller part of intelligent tester contains ATmega128 microcontroller so there is present a passage of program code. Last section of master's thesis describe a physical consruction and explain division for smaller parts and hole process of tester function.
NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion Accumulators Charger Controlled via USB
Knop, Petr ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
Universal battery charger Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh and Li-ion batteries. The charger is controlled by microcontroller atmega8 made by Atmel. The charger senses the battery temperature, battery voltage and sends data about charging cycle to created applications over USB interface.
Intelligent charger for lead-acid accumulators 12V/130A with an option "start-car"
Láznička, Martin ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is considered on a basic description of car battery charger with a support function “start-car”. A switching power supply creates a base of the equipment-this is why the charger is compact and easily portable. It is designed for 6V and 12V batteries. A charging by a constant voltage with a current limitation (to 0.5A, 5A or 20A) is used. The charger maximal current is 120A for a short-term load, so a proposal of an appropriate thermal protection is included in the project.
Design of construction, control and electronics for unstable balancing vehicle
Zouhar, František ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of construction, control and electronics for unstable balancing vehicle. The rst part is focused on the determination of requirements for the function and then design and manufacture of structure in line with set requirements, including 3D models and drawings. The second part is devoted to the creation of simulation models of vehicles using the Lagrange equations of the second kind and using SimMechanics. Also PID and LQR regulators are designed, including the advantages and disadvantages of each regulator for this application. The last part is focused on electronics necessary to vehicle operating. They are mainly power electronics (H-bridge, battery charger, switching supply of voltage board). There are also necessary calculations, complete PCB design and a description of the rmware for the this specifc device.
Electric cars as the ecological future of transport
Mironova, Alexandra ; Walek, Agata (referee) ; Jašková, Jana (advisor)
Development control programme for autonomous fotovoltaic system
Janáč, Stanislav ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
The project considers realization system, which allows us to test six different operation modes on lifetime of accumulators. The system will be connected to computer, that will perform measurement of current and voltage and switch betwen charge and discharge modes. The measured values will be recorded in certain time intervals to computer memory. After some time these measured data will be analised and the most optimal operational mode will be set.
Electric Powered Offroad Motorcycles
Kobza, Tomáš ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the study of off-road electric motorcycles, both currently available and prototypes under development. The work describes the history of electric motorcycles up to the present knowledge, construction issues, the types of drive units and batteries used. It compares an electric-powered motorcycle with a conventional-powered motorcycle.
Photographic battery flash unit
Dašovský, Jakub ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of a flesh unit with a maximum output performance of 400Ws. Regulation is performed by the length of flash. The source of energy used is generated by Li-Ion cells with a total voltage of 21 V and capacity of 5200 mAh. Part of this design include circuits that provide power control to the flash tube, the resizing of the DC voltage (changing), the charging and monitoring of the minimum battery voltage.
Verification series of fast-chargers for lead-acid accumulators 12V and 6V
Benada, Tomáš ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is an engineering design of an intelligent fast-charger for lead-acid accumulators. It contains calculations of each component. The switching power supply is the mainstay of the charger that makes the charger portable, lightweight and small. The Intelligent fast-charger for lead-acid accumulators charges the accumulator by method of constant voltage with current limitation of 0,5A, 5A, 10A, 50A. 50A current is used in winter during starting of a car, when the battery can´t provide sufficient current. There are three LEDs placed on the front side of the charger reflecting status of the device. The device comprises safety protection for the charger, supply network and battery.
Lead Acid Battery Charger
Jeleček, Ondřej ; Tonar, Karel (referee) ; Tošer, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of lead acid baterry charger. First chapters describes the charging and discharging principes. This paper also shows basics types of lead acid batteries, their distribution depends on maintenance and part connected to the processes connected to the charging and discharging of the acumulators. Following part is focused on theoretical design of the charger with set up of parameters. Diploma thesis also contains comparsion of requested and real parameters of the charger.
