Title: Barriers of hypokinetic adolecents to active lifestyle The dissertation addresses the issue of physical activity among adolescents studying at secondary vocational schools. It focuses on those students who do not meet the minimum recommended number of steps per day, i.e. inactive students. The aim of the study was to clarify the reasons which prevent them from adopting a more active lifestyle. To better understand student responses, we also examined the relationship to school physical education as a school subject that has the potential to positively influence the physical activity habits of youth. Research was carried out on a group of students 15-16 years old at secondary vocational schools (two in Prague, one in the Moravian-Silesian Region). A total of 315 students were studied. A standardized questionnaire was used to obtain information about student opinions on physical education. Sigma Activo fitness bracelets were used to monitor amount of physical activity, and a semi-structured interview was used to determine specific barriers to physical activity. Physiology of Blood Brain Barrier

This thesis takes on the theme of blood-brain barrier. Blood-brain barrier is a physiological barrier, that divides the circulatory system from brain, in place of their konfrontation. Barriers main task is to maintain homeostasis and regulate the transport of substances in both directions. The most important group of proteins, responsible for transport, are the ABC transporters. Alterations of barrier properties during the pathological states, but also the distribution of medical drugs is subject of futher investigations. Overview of the above mentioned themes will be mediated by this thesis.

Functional parameters of biocorridors built in fragmented cultural landscapes due to facilitation of the organism's mobility

Human caused landscape fragmentation, accompanied by loss of habitat connectivity, is currently a significant global threat to biodiversity conservation. One possible way to address this problem is to identify, establish and maintain wildlife corridors that connect isolated habitat patches to allow the movement and spread of organisms through the environment. This study based on literature review addresses the identification of relevant factors supporting functionality of wildlife corridors in various scale levels for different species or groups of organisms. Impact of environmental factors on the game clashes with motor vehicles on roads in West Bohemia.

Under the influence of long-term development of the motorway and road network and increasing the intensity of traffic in the Czech Republic there are frequent accidents. Among the causes of traffic accidents can include some environmental factors whose action may be involved in their formation and their severity e.g. weather conditions, road surroundings, or time of day, but also combinations thereof.
Other important factors may include environmental character clashes with animals, the weight of individuals of some species may cause a traffic accident. Roads are becoming an obstacle to moving animals, which must be overcome in connection with migration or regular movement in the country. If they are not in their construction or renovation of pre-considered measures that would prevent or restrict the movement or the movement of animals. Measures informing drivers of motor vehicles on the hazard can be fatal clash.
This thesis describes the issue of conflicts of motor vehicles with animals, analysis of events related to this topic on the roads West Region, especially its causes and effectiveness of existing measures and custom design to ensure adequate prevention in areas with the highest incidence of conflicts.

Access to Railway Platform for Wheelchair User

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on wheelchair accessible survey at railway stations. It has been chosen a few different kind of stations which are marked as physically disabled accessible. Railway stations have been thoroughly visited, gauged and explored. The main intention was to solve these problems as an activity chain performed by people at railway stations. It means everything from passengers arrival, do all steps in a station building, to passengers access to platforms and after that getting on the train. Due to large extent of wheelchair accessible, this thesis has only focused on wheelchair users.

EU agreements with South Korea and Japan and their impact on the European market

Master's thesis "EU agreements with South Korea and Japan and their impact on the European market" analyzes the impact of trade agreements between the European Union and South Korea and Japan on the EU industrial competitiveness. The impact is evaluated in terms of the development of trade flows with chemical, food, textile and automotive products and also in terms of the existence and reduction of non-tariff barriers. The study also includes trade balances developments between the respective countries. The results of the analysis showcase the overall positive impact of the agreement with South Korea on the EU industrial competitiveness and predict the impact of the agreement with Japan.
