Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement

Bachelor´s thesis deals with evaluation of Alfaplastic, a. s. company financial situation during the years 2004 and 2006. Financial statement of the given company was used for the evaluation. In a forepart a term financial analysis and methods of a basic technical analysis are explained. Another part of work is focused on a creation of evaluation of a financial situation of the company. The last part of work summarizes results of partial analysis, problematic areas are defined and their solutions are mentioned.

An evaluation of the effectiveness of investments in energy savings

Investments in energy saving of buildings is associated with a reduction in the operating costs, but it is also an effort to improve the quality of the environment. The main impulse are constantly rising energy prices and deteriorating air quality. The diploma thesis deals with the return on investment in thermal insulation of residential houses. The theoretical part describes the different definitions from the field of investments, pricing and energy modifications. In the practical part are considered two apartment buildings, the first insulated, non-insulated second. The next step is quantifying of the investment cost of such insulation designed with the calculation of payback period, net present value and internal rate of return. At the end of the work is the evaluation of the effectiveness of investments.

The return on investment associated with construction of a residential building in Brno

This diploma thesis is focused on return on investment associated with the construction of a residential building in Brno. First, the author finds all costs associated with the construction of a residential building. Subsequently, the residential building will be evaluated according, as a complex and as an individual flats. It will also be based on the prevailing prices of rents calculated yield value of the house. Then the comparative method provides the prevailing price of apartments in the area and find out how much revenue would amount to, if the house is sold off for flats. Finally the resulting values are compared among themselves and determine the best option to deal with new residential building in Brno.

Old - new urban spa

This is a reconstruction of the urban spa in Brno - Zábrdovice. The main idea was to return the building to the original visual form designed by Bohuslav Fuchs and to propose suitable dispositions to the complex that they will find use today.

The thesis focuses on the creation of a business plan for the establishment of a production plant for the production of building blocks. This thesis dealing with the various options of final products, depending on the profitability. The main aim of this thesis is to consider the possible risks, the size of investment costs, possible sources of financing and to evaluate the benefits of implementing this project. This work also focuses on analyzing the current market situation and determining the strength of competition.

he aim of this thesis is to carry out an appraisal of a financial condition of a company. In the first part, theoretical start-points of Financial Analysis are scrutinised, with an introduction of the company followed. By taking the advantage of the Financial Analysis method, the financial condition of the company is appraised and the outcomes are compared with competition. In the second part, proceedings for risk elimination in the company management are suggested.

Assessment of the Impact of Thermal Insulation Performance of a Residential Building in Trebic on Running Expenses of this Property

This thesis evaluates the influence of thermal insulation of residential building design for expenses associated with operating the property. The thesis first analyzes the current problems in our panel construction, basic concepts related to energy performance of buildings and methods of supplying heat to the building. Is discussed in more detail the way the building insulation using ETICS. In assessing the economic returns are two options proposed austerity measures. The work includes Energy Performance Certificate apartment house, on the basis of the assessed amount of energy saved for the variations of thermal insulation. Both variants are also measured by isolating the needs for economic evaluation. The conclusion assesses the turnaround time of each action.

Influence of insulation design of the house in Rokytnice nad Rokytnou.

This diploma thesis deals with insulation of the house and it's costs. First part relates to the developement of the construction, the current trends in the construction of houses, prices of energy and heating options. Next part relates with insulation system Etics, the way of it's implementation and thermal assessment with basic names. Thermal insulation is designed in three variants. The work includes thermal assessment in original condition and the assessment of new condition modified by adding thermal insulation with it's economic return. In conclusion, the diploma thesis evaluates the payback period of insulation options and the effect on price of this house.

Financial Situation Improvement by Means of Factoring

This master's thesis is dealing with alternate form of financing – factoring and its benefits for the company. Theoretic part explains the basics of factoring, its types, advantages and disadvantages. Practical part displays the influence of factoring by help of financial analysis on specific company – how factoring helped to improve financial situation. Next the costs of factoring are compared with bank overdraft. At the end of thesis is defined recommendation to continue with factoring.
