Economic and other factors determining the use of club memberships in fitness centers in the Czech Republic in 2015
Staš, Ján ; Barák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
The bachelor thesis is primarily focused on the fitness industry section of the Czech Republic, which belongs to the most dynamic and potential, but also very much neglected sections of the national economy. This work clearly shows the underdeveloped, or rather obsolete managing system of Czech fitness centres based on single entries which considerably determines the current chaotic, poorly mapped and unsystematic fitness industry in the country. The theoretical part of the work presents some possible management techniques of fitness centres based on the club memberships that would be applicable to the current conditions of the Czech market. At the same time it reflects the main economic as well as other factors, which are conditioned by the fitness centre visitors in order to purchase a club membership, respectively, their owners and operators to the acceptance and introduction of club membership in a particular fitness centre. The practical part verifies to which extent the proposed procedures and criteria correlate with the current conditions and the mentality of visitors of the Czech fitness centres and also their owners and operators. The result of this work is to make a real model of gradual introduction of fitness club memberships applicable in current Czech conditions that create a good background for a consequent co-operation with the other sectors of the national economy of the Czech Republic or the international associations related to the fitness industry worldwide.

Salačová, Lucie ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor) ; Szobi, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the economic development of Czechoslovakia during the Fourth Five-Year Plan (1966-1970) taking into account political development concerning mainly the formation of the second economic reform in Czechoslovakia. The theoretical section of the thesis deals with the political and the economic situation in Czechoslovakia between 1947-1965. It also looks into the characteristics of mechanisms of the functioning of the Czechoslovak economy. The analytical section deals with Šik´s Reform including its most important economic documents. It analyses the Fourth Five-Year Plan focussing on the most significant indicators of the national economy - national income, investments, industry, agriculture and forestry, transport and communications, water management, international trade, construction industry, standards of living, research and development. Despite the continuation of Šik´s Reform which had little influence on changing the economic progress, and despite the political tensions culminating in August 1968, the economic development during the Fourth Five-Year Plan can be regarded as quite successful.

Does the Economic Performance since 2000 in the Czech Republic and other European States depends on the System of Financial Supervision?
Tomková, Kateřina ; Zeman, Karel (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to process an analysis of financial supervision in the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy with special attention to banking industry which is the most influent part of the financial market in all countries. Besides this major analysis, the economic growth analysis for years 2000 to 2014 (2015) is made in every country. The very last step is a comparison of supervision systems and their connection to economic performance of countries. Conclusions bring the answer for my question: whether the economic condition (since 2000 until now) depends on the system of financial supervision in European countries. The theoretical part consists of chapters about the theory of national economy, financial markets, where there are basic theoretical concepts explained, market functions and market division. Last but not least, the theory of financial supervision is analyzed: what is the essence, legal framework, what is the supervision purpose and what are the goals of supervisors. Firstly, there should also be the theory of central banking but it does not make any sense to explain this theory here since central banks are not the main supervisor authorities of financial markets (except the Czech Republic, but also here the policies are separated). The practical part involves six subchapters, everyone is devoted to one state (the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy), the very last subchapter is about the comparison and analysis of results. In every state the history of financial market is processed together with institutional areas after 2000, legal framework and the analysis of supervision activity with special attention to capital, liquidity and resilience to shocks. European growth is analyzed according to GDP, inflation rate, unemployment, wage growth and GDP per capita in comparison with EU (28) and EA (19). The research brings the results that there is a connection between financial supervision and economic growth.
Analysis of Economy of Poland since Year 2000 to Present - The Only Country of European Union without Recession
Brejčák, Peter ; Šimíček, Petr (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Pavel (referee)
Analysis of economic aggregates and economic policy in Poland from the year 2000 shows the most important factor for country to avoid recession is the expenditure on consumption of private sector, which rose every year in given period. Other positive factors are expenditures on consumption of government and polish national currency zloty, which significantly depreciated during the crisis, making export-oriented sector more competitive. Another positive factor is stable banking sector. The negative factor in the short term is lowering the expenditure on consumption of government. The market of labor could harm the economic growth in long run, particularly the employment of young and women. In order to avoid this situation further reforms of labor market are recommended.

Košina, František ; Zeman, Karel (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze macroeconomic development in Slovenia in the last 20 years. Special attention is paid to the development of banking sector and Tthe development of its ownership structure. The theoretical part deals with the basic concept of national economy, characteristics of the main macroeconomic aggregates and the banking system. These theoretical solutions provide an information base for the practical part, which processes a macroeconomic analysis of Slovenia from 1995 to the present. Banking sector is analyzed from the perspective of the legal framework and institutional provision. It is followed by the analysis of the Slovenian banking sector itself, which shows that the Slovenian crisis was rooted precisely in the banking sector, which is largely state-owned. The main solution of this situation is the privatization of large state-owned banks and restrictive measures of public finances.
