20th Century Theologies of Play - Hugo Rahner and Jurgen Moltmann: Blind Alley

The aim of the present text is play and playing along all respective forms from the perspective of systematic theology. Two most comprehensive play theologiesas presented in the books Der Spielende Mensch by Hugo Rahner and Die Ersten Freigelassenen der Schöpfung by Jürgen Moltmann and connected writings are analysed. The analysis expands on the understanding of play as play and ensuing theological interpretations, as portrayed by both authors, in the context of their theological legacy, professional endeavours and historical circumstances relating to the time of inception of their respective play theologies. Such play theologies are outlined both on the general level and presented inparticular details and points of emphasis in terms of systematic theology. Sources of inspiration, direct motivations to engage in play theologies arepresented from the perspective of both respective theologians as well as thereception and impact of their writings. Consequently, a comparison of both play theologies is presented. Their compatibility is argued both on the level of key eschatological and soteriological conclusions as well as foundations emphasising freedom, joy and creativity as fundamental theological qualities of play. The Council of Chalcedon from the point of view of Christian Orthodoxy and the Monophysite Coptic Orthodox Church.

The thesis deals with the comparison attitudes of two Eastern Christian traditions - Orthodox and Coptic to 4th ecumenical council, which held in 451 in Chalcedon. The Monophysite, or Non- Chalcedonian, Coptic Orthodox Church regards it as return to the heterodox teaching called Nestorianism whilst Eastern Orthodox Church this council considers in accordance with the Orthodox doctrine. For Orthodox Christians Chalcedon represents the breakthrough for a refinement of the Christology, concretely in the doctrine about two natures - divine and human - in single person of Christ which the Copts regard as return to Nestorian heresy which due to its dualism interfered the integrity of the person of Christ. The thesis puts forward the insight into the Council of Chalcedon from both perspectives objectively. The thesis is based on authors which represent Orthodox and Coptic traditions but also on these who researched this issue solely from a historical-theological point of view. I have noted reasons - theological and non-theological - why the Copts reject to accept conclusions of this ecumenical council to this day, among other things. The Christological, soteriological and a anthropological motifs in the work Brothers Karazamovs of Dostojevskij

Thesis "The Christological, soteriological and relevant spiritual topics in the Dostoevsky Work The Brothers Karamazov" applies to the life and literary heritage of the Russian writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, especially to his master piece The Brothers Karamazov. The novel summarizes the writer's life ideas which have matured throughout life. In this work, the emphasis is primarily put on finding and describing christological and soteriological features contained in the novel demonstrating the author's inner conviction and faith in Jesus Christ. The thesis also points to some spiritual themes, which are crucial in the literary work, such as human suffering and questions of faith and human freedom. The study includes a brief description of Pospíšils life work with reference to the contemporary context. The author presents Pospíšil not only as a theologian, but also as a major representative of Czech Thomistic philosophy.

Christrology and soteriology in the sermons of Dr.Ph. Josef Čeněk of Wartenburk (1765 - 1843)

With Dr. Ph Josef Čeněk of Wartenberk, auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Hradec Králové, later of Salzburg, we find ourselves in the Austrian Empire, at the time of Josephinism, in a turbulent era of the first half of the nineteenth century. Josef Čeněk enters actively into the era of national revival, when it is possible for him to publish several volumes of his Sermons in Czech language, in order to shape believers and bring them to deeper knowledge of the Catholic faith. In this work, we follow his concept of Christology and Soteriology, how he understands the person of Jesus Christ and how he presents him to believers. The universal inclusivist soteriology (of Pauline type?) according to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

This bachelor thesis elaborates the topic of ontological and functional significance of the person of Jesus Christ, according to French philosopher and scientist PierreTeilhard de Chardin. At present time, his theological contribution is appreciated by Pope Benedict XVI and Francis. But many of his thoughts and genial writings were censored and forbidden in the preconciliar Catholic discourse during his lifetime. All his major works were published posthumously. However, he still remains a controversial author. The study aims to assess whether it could be considered the functional christology of Teilhard de Chardin as the universal inclusivist soteriology of Pauline type. The basis and frame of reference for coparison are proto-Pauline epistles of The New Testament (especially Romans, First Corinthians and Philippians). The inclusivist concept of salvation in the works of Teilhard de Chardin can be come the starting-point for ecumenical dialogue between the Christian denominations that share the Apostle Paul.
