KOČOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor's thesis focuses on a topical issue, which concerns the integration of pupils with special educational needs to the mainstream model of education. The theoretical part consists of two main chapters. The first chapter deals with the model of all pupils being educated together. The second chapter characterizes pupils with special educational needs according to effective legislation and describes disabilities which appear in the exploratory inquiry. The practical part defines set goals and the method of achieving them. The following methods were used to collect data: semi-structured interview, observation in accordance with set categories, analysis of documents and sociometry. The role of the teacher, whose function is crucial in the process of integration, can be considered the most significant factor. It depends on educator's knowledge and experience for the integration to be deemed successful.
