Factors affecting staff turnover in plastic surgery facilities

This bachelor thesis focuses on the factors that influence employee turnover in plastic surgery facilities. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is divided into several subchapters. Plastic surgery is often a for-profit business, so subchapter 2.1 deals with what this business is and its importance for the economy. Legal entities may have employees and are therefore affected by the employee life cycle (subchapter 2.3) and employee turnover (subchapter 2.4), but then there are also legal entities that do not have employees and therefore outsource (subchapter 2.2). Finally, there is a subchapter on plastic surgery, which deals with the definition of plastic surgery, its history and interventions. The practical section is divided into two parts. The first part contains an evaluation of a questionnaire survey that was conducted with facilities that perform plastic surgery. The questionnaire was received by all facilities that are listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers and have indicated that they perform plastic surgery. The second part of the practical section contains specific suggestions for improving the working environment for staff in facilities performing plastic surgery. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse and define the factors that influence staff turnover in facilities performing plastic surgery and to propose measures to improve the current situation.

The first part is devoted to the issue of employee’s fluctuation and human resources management related to this topic. Theoretical knowledge is used in the next phase to analyze and evaluate the situation in the selected company. Finally, solutions will be proposed that will reduce fluctuations in society.

The research is based on a detailed analysis of situation in the company and its company culture with subsequent interrogation methods, namely by VSM94 method, minds maps and personal interview. The output of this diploma thesis should be a list of concrete steps, which is possible to implement in IKEA Brno.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to focus on the scale of fluctuations employees in the state company. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first part are defined the basic concepts as fluctuation, causes of fluctuations, positive and negative impacts on the social environment. This thesis concerns fluctuation of employees in a manufacturing company. The approach taken was based on existing literature on the topic, internal data provided by the company, collaboration with workers and HR employees, and a survey. The aim was to propose a set of recommendations leading to a decrease in the number of employees voluntarily leaving company DFK s.r.o. The resulting recommendations could be used by the HR department as a guidelines in designing new motivational policies and rethinking the work environment.

The Master´s thesis „Stress evaluation, coping and reduction” deals with a very up-to-date subject of employees stress. It analyzes stress types, development, symptoms and influence on health and work results of employees. It also concentrates on factors which evoke the stress, their identification and elimination in corporate environment. The first part of my thesis focuses on theoretical analysis of the above-mentioned issues. Second, practical part deals with the process of finding and evaluting stress factors in a logistic company and its employees. Final part focuses on project of elimination of stress and its factors in the company.
