Citová, Adéla ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Title: Comparison of upper and lower quadrant stability using the Y-balance test in girls practicing sports aerobics Aim: The aim of this thesis is to identify the functional development of girls practicing sports aerobics at the elite level, to compare asymmetries and dynamic stability of the lower and upper quadrants using the Y-balance test across age groups. In addition to the main aim, the thesis monitored the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders using a short anamnestic questionnaire and assessed the presence of hypermobility through the Beighton score. So, a secondary aim is to determine if and how these other aspects affect the dynamic stability of the girls. Method: A total of 44 girls aged between 8 and 25 years, covering all age categories of sports aerobics, participated in the study. The probands were selected from nine clubs in the Czech Republic and the research took place in the gyms of six of them. Measurements were taken during the competition season between February 2023 and October 2023. Data were collected by anamnestic questionnaire, Y-balance test and Beighton score. During this time period, the girls were measured a total of 3 times - at the beginning of the season, at the midpoint and towards the end. Data were entered into forms and then processed in Microsoft Excel...

Kamírová, Barbora ; Žáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of dynamic stability of the lower limb in horse riders using the Y- balance test Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to map the level of lower limbs stability in show jumping and eventing horse riders by using the Y-balance test and to describe whether common signs of variations in range of motion of lower limb joints will be present. At the same time supplement the thesis with a short summary of movement problems and the use of physiotherapy in horse riders using a short questionnaire. By writing this thesis I would like to raise the awareness of riders about the effect of asymmetries and imbalances on the musculoskeletal system of both the rider and the horse, and about the possible achievement of better harmony between the rider and the horse when trying to correct these changes with the help of physiotherapy or other additional movement activities. Methods: The key part of the research section of the thesis is an examination using the Y-balance test evaluatimg the dynamic stability of the lower limb and also the examination of range of motion of the lower limb joints using a goniometer. At the same time, a questionnaire is part of the work, which has the task of providing a brief overview of the issue of physiotherapy in horse riding. Testing is performed on 25 probands, 14...
The acute effect of percusive therapy on postural stability and muscle activation in people with chronic ankle instability and controls
Michal, Lukáš ; Hank, Mikuláš (advisor) ; Šorfová, Monika (referee)
F2 = 0.15; with a significance level of α = 0.05 and a test power of β = - - (p=0.014) CAI NO PRE (CNP) and HEALTHY YES POST (HYPO) and between the CAI NO POST (CNPO) vs. HYPO (p=0.05). The only statistical difference (p=0.045) within CAI group was found in CNP vs. CAI YES POST (CYPO). Since there was no significant difference in the pre-tests between any of the groups (CNP and CYP), we may confirm the hypothesis of the effect of PT in postural stability (OE) test. In contrast, in the CE test, this change was observed between groups CNPO and CYPO (p=0.05). Since there was no pre-test difference between the CAI groups in CE parameter, we may also confirm the effect of PT in CE test, even though the intragroup outcomes between pre and post-test weren't sensitive enough to find significant (p<0.05) improvement. Unilateral postural stability surveyed in relation to PT showed increased bilateral asymmetry between DOM and NON in Flamingo test (expressed as %). Especially HYPO group revealed risen asymmetry after PT when compared to CNPO (p=0.007), CNP (p=0.015) and CYPO (p=0.05). Key finding was measured significant difference in intragroup parameter between HYP vs. HYPO (p=0.014), which confirmed increased bilateral asymmetry in unilateral postural stability HEALTHY subjects before and after use of PT, but not...
Analysis of the relationship between balance and power-dynamic abilities of the lower limbs of football players
Malata, Marek ; Pavelka, Jan (referee) ; Kundera, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between balance and lower limb strength-dynamic ability in soccer players. The aim is to determine whether the assumption of better balance leads to a faster and more powerful shot. The theoretical part describes the rules of soccer, the demands on soccer players, technologies used in training and matches, as well as trends in the sport. Within this section, shooting in soccer, factors influencing shooting, and training possibilities will be described. Additionally, balance, its types, and improvement possibilities will be discussed. In the practical part, we will assess the stability of soccer players using the Biodex Balance System, measure the kick speed with the Stalker ATS II sports radar, and evaluate their correlation.
Využití negativní termoterapie ve fyzioterapii poruch posturální stability u pacientů s diabetickou neuropatií
SVOBODA, Tomáš
Diabetic neuropathy is a chronic complication of both types of diabetes mellitus affecting the autonomic and peripheral nervous systems. Based on damaged nerve fibers, it bothers patients not only with subjective symptoms, but also affects the psyche and quality of life of a person. The goals of the work included a summary of physiotherapy methods used in the treatment of neuropathy, an evaluation of the effect of kinesiotherapy and cold-water immersion on postural stability and the creation of educational material for self-therapy. The thesis is written in the form of case reports of three patients who underwent examination focused on parameters associated with neuropathy and postural stability and intervention with the procedures before mentioned for a period of thirty days. The results of individual patients did not change significantly after completing the procedures. The muscle test (patients 1 and 3), sense of position and locomotion (patients 1 and 2), vibration sensation (patients 2 and 3), EPE, MVL (patient 1), RT (patient 3), FOAM-EC (patient 2 and 3) and Modified CTSIB (patient 1) improved, deterioration occurred in the muscle test (patient 2), sense of position (patient 3), Limits of stability (patients 1 and 3), RT, DCL (patient 1), MVL (patient 3).Due to the heterogeneity of the patients and the mutual use of kinesiotherapy and cold water immersion, it is difficult to compare the results of the patients with each other and to evaluate which modality had a greater influence on the results. Kinesiotherapy (balance exercises) has a positive effect on postural stability with the support of studies. In the case of cold exposure, this effect is not clear, even studies do not agree. Based on the results and studies, cold exposure can be used to reduce subjectively perceived symptoms.
Vliv fyzioterapie na kondici, koordinaci a posturální stabilitu u osob s Parkinsonovou chorobou.
DOMASOVÁ, Martina
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative progressive disease that cannot be cured even today. However, it is possible to influence and slow down its progress to a certain extent. Symptomatic treatment is used to suppress the disease, of which physiotherapy is an integral part. In Parkinson's disease, physiotherapy can suppress the symptoms of this disease, improve the patient's condition and significantly help the patient maintain a higher quality of life for a longer period of time. The first aim of the bachelor thesis was "To draw attention to the importance of physiotherapy in a patient with Parkinson's disease". The second aim was "To map the possibilities of physiotherapy in a patient with Parkinson's disease". Both of these goals were fulfilled and described in the theoretical part in subchapter 1.8.3. In addition, the practical part of this thesis refers to the first one, where it is possible to see the changes in the condition of the patient with Parkinson's that occur when applying group exercise to his regimen. The third aim was "To design an exercise that would lead to the improvement of the condition of the patient with Parkinson's". This goal is dealt with in the practical part of this thesis. Based on the knowledge gained in the theoretical part, an exercise unit was created, which was then applied for two months to a group of seven probands. To evaluate its effect on the condition of patients, input and output kinesiological analyses were compared, including clinical tests to examine fitness, coordination and postural stability (FTSST, TUG, BBS, Pull Test, Push & Release Test).
