Low return rates for women after maternity/parental leave: a case study of a selected organisation

The thesis is a case study of a selected organization that deals with the issue of low return rate of women after maternity/parental leave. The theoretical framework is based on the identification of the key factors affecting women's return to work, including the Work Life Balance concept, C. Hakim's Preference Theory, the concept of employee turnover, R. A. Karasek's Demand-Control Model and J. Siegrist's Effort-Return Imbalance Model. The empirical part of the research relates to the research question identifying the factors that influence the low return rate of women to the mentioned organization. The research is based on two sources of data - analysis of selected documents, complementing the context of in-depth semi-structured research interviews. The sample consists of selected women of the mentioned organization. With regard to theories and other relevant documents, three significant factors influencing the low return of women to the said organisation were identified - the difficulty of the work, low financial remuneration and the nature of the work. The fourth less significant factor was the lack of communication from the organisation after women go on maternity leave. The research concludes with a discussion and a conclusion.
Aspects of human resource management in organizations: a study of manager-employee relations through LMX theory

The bachelor thesis focuses on the examination of the relationship between manager and subordinate. The theoretical part defines the literature search and key concepts. In the analytical part, the current state of affairs in the selected company is identified and evaluated through a questionnaire survey and the LMX method. Based on the analysis of the obtained information, suggestions and recommendations for improvement are presented in the last part of the thesis.

The research is based on a detailed analysis of situation in the company and its company culture with subsequent interrogation methods, namely by VSM94 method, minds maps and personal interview. The output of this diploma thesis should be a list of concrete steps, which is possible to implement in IKEA Brno.

The diploma thesis is focused on employee turnover and retention in a selected company. The theoretical part defines terms that are related to this issue. This part focuses on the causes and consequences of employee turnover, on people resourcing and retention of current employees. This theoretical knowledge is used in the analytical part during analyzing and evaluating the current state of the company. Based on the findings, recommendations that would support effective recruitment and selection process of suitable employees, support retention and reduce employee turnover in the company are provided.

Filipi, Z. Factors influencing employee turnover and stabilisation in the metalworking industry. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The diploma thesis deals with factors influencing employee turnover and stabilisation in a company operating in the metalworking industry. The aim of the thesis was to identify these factors in the selected company and to propose recommendations to reduce turnover, increase employee satisfaction and stability. On the basis of quantitative and qualitative research, analyses of the findings were prepared and then measures were proposed to improve the current and future situation in the selected company. From the overall assessment of the factors of turnover, stabilisation and satisfaction in the selected company, recommendations are then proposed for entities operating in the same industry.
Effect of motivation on employee turnover in non-profit organizations focused on social care

The diploma thesis connects two different areas, namely the non-profit sector with the human resources management policy, which in the past has been particularly important in the profit sector. Nowadays, a number of non-profit organizations have undergone a process of professionalization, thereby narrowing the boundary between the profit and non-profit sectors and paying employees an important part of non-profit organizations. The diploma thesis deals with non-profit organizations in the area of social care provision, which are part of the whole social service in the Czech Republic, based on legislation. One of the goals of the work is to look at the reasons why employees leave non-profit organizations focused on social care and also what types of motivational employee benefits they use to prevent unwanted fluctuations in their employees.
